Chapter 7

"Oh no he didn't!" Ciara half yelled.

"Yeah and I'm pretty sure it was intentional and can you believe he didn't apologize," I said.

"That fucking manwhore is gonna pay," She said clenching her fists.

"I'm gonna make him go on his damn knees and apologize."

"He'll only frustrate my life the more," I said.

"That's why I'm here, I'm gonna chop off his dick and feed it to the dogs."

"That's hilarious."

I looked over her shoulder and saw Zeke staring keenly at the water.

He was on the other end of the pool, busy splashing pool water with his foot.

He had only shorts on and was shirtless.

"Are you even listening?" Ciara asked as she shook my shoulders.

"Huh?" I answered.

"Were you-" she paused then looked over her shoulder, then gave me a skeptical look.

"Don't gimme that kind of look," I said and then stood up.

"It's kinda boring just staying here." Ciara pouted.

"I know, I know."

"How about we crash in over there and watch a movie?" She asked.

At first, I thought she'd gone insane.

"Common, you were personally invited by him so what is wrong with crashing in the garage?"

"Yeah, you're right," I said.

She grinned at me and then pulled me by my hand.

I pushed open the door of the empty room, it was where teenagers and young adults normally hung out.

"Holy fuck!" Ciara exclaimed.

"I know it's beautiful," I said plopping onto the couch.

"What do you wanna watch?" She asked.

"How I met your mother," I said.

"Nice choice, I'll put it." She said.

"And I'll get something edible from the kitchen." I stood up and walked aimlessly in search of the kitchen.

Then I got yanked by my arm and I was dragged to a dark room.

"Hey!" I yelled.

Instead, the person put his hand over my mouth.

I tried shoving the hand away, but it was much stronger than mine, giving me no other choice than to bite it.

"Argghh damn you nerd!" Zeke cursed.

I narrowed my eyes in search of the light switch and then turned it on.

"Hey, you abducted me," I said.

"You should be grateful." He said.

"Grateful!" I snapped.

Instead of replying a smirk tugged at the end of his lip.

"What do you want?" I asked folding my arms.

"Hey, don't you go at yelling at me." He said.

"Well, you shouldn't have been mean earlier today," I said.

He bit his lip then ran his eyes over me again, "You're a hot nerd."

My cheeks turned red and I looked down.

"Ohh stop the flattering," I mumbled.

Instead, he came closer and held up my face.

"You're the hottest nerd I've ever seen," he said.

My stomach made a knot and I blushed again.

What is wrong with me?!

"Why're you here anyways not like you're gonna murder me," I said staring at the penknife meters away from Zeke.

"You think I'd kill you?" He asked and then chuckled.

"Absolutely," I said.

He pouted and made a sad face.

Don't be a fool, damn you!

"Why're you even here?" I asked.

"Uhmm I came to uhmm you know-" he said and then looked at me.

"Apologize for being an asshole throughout today?" I said with a smile.

"I wouldn't put it that way." He said and then

"Then what?"

"I came to uhmm-" he paused, "you know that word."

"Oh my gosh, it's pronounced apologize!" I said.

"Yeah, whatever."

"Go on."

"Uhmm," he scratched the back of his neck and then looked around, "For been a good guy." He said then smirked.

"Good guy?" I said.

"Yeah."

"I'm still not talking to you," I said.

"Geez nerd, at least appreciate my effort for even talking to you." He said.

"Nope."

"I am sorry." He whispers, more like to himself.

"Awn the asshole has finally brought down his ego." I laughed.

"Hey don't tell anyone about this or you'd be sorry." He said.

"What you gonna do? murder me?" I asked.

"Damn you nerd, I am not a murderer." He said.

"But I have murdered some pussies" he said with a smirk.

Now I felt disgusted by his words.

"Shut up."

"You're one daring nerd"

He then left through the back door and I grabbed some snacks.

"What the fuck took you so long?" Ciara said.

"Well I ran into Zeke and he-" I paused then leaned towards her.

"Apologized to me," I whisper.

"Holy moly!" She yelled.

"Don't act like it's some big deal or something," I said.

"Hey girls." Damien said from the door, "Watching a movie?" He asked and then sat beside me.

"Yeah," I replied.

"Your stomach, it doesn't hurt right?" He asked.

"It doesn't." I gave him a sly smile.

"Uhmm I'd leave you two alone." Ciara gave me a wink.

I watched as she left after giving me a thumbs up.

"So let's talk about you." He said.

"Me?"

"Yeah, like your favorite color, worst memories, best memories, secrets, first kiss-" he paused, "You know stuff like that."

"Uhmm I'm a huge lover of the color blue, it expresses me in a word; cool."

You ain't cool...

Damn you, Zeke!

"I remember when mom had signed me up for a yodeling competition, it was the worst. The best memory was getting an A+ in my test though I didn't read at all."

"You must be very smart." He said and my cheeks heat up again.

"Well, one of my secrets is well," I paused then whispered, "That I don't comb my hair before going to bed."

"Uhmm...nice one."

"Yeah I lost my first kiss to a truth and dare game in seventh grade, I wanted it to be with someone special."

"I could make that possible." He said.

Wait, what the-

Even before I could blink or finish my thought, he leaned closer and took in my lower lip.

The kiss lasted for a minute and it was the weirdest moment of my life.

I stared at Damien trying to figure out what happened.

Oh my gosh, he fucking kissed you!

I know that!

I ran towards the door then turned the knob and rushed outside, slamming the door behind me.

I placed my hand on my chest, breathing heavily.

In

Out

Shut the fuck up!

Just act like nothing at all happen and go home.

"He fucking kissed me!" I found myself yelling to Ciara over the phone.

"Oh, he did not!" She squealed.

"I know it felt kinda awkward, especially when he didn't say anything," I said.

"Maybe he was shy or felt awkward just like you did."

"Now I feel bad. He doesn't like me?"

"Cheer up gurl, I've seen a lot of relationships like this, and yours ain't different."

"I shouldn't have kissed him back, I feel like a bitch already."

"You don't need to feel bad, this happens to every nerd."

"Hey!"

"Sorry, you know the name really suits you."

"Now you sound like Zeke."

I put down the phone and took a deep breath.
