Chapter 19

　　Muting the movie, I turn to him with a stern look on my face as if to say, ‘Back off mister.’

　　“You look adorable when you’re angry,” Aiden says, laughing as he pokes my cheek. He pays no heed to my anger radiating towards him.

　　“You are an insufferable nuisance,” I state in all seriousness as I look to the screen where the movie is still playing.

　　I keep on ignoring him even when he tries to make me talk so many times. I’m just so done with his mind games. Once, he’s warm and loving….. then he’s cold and distant in the flash of a second.

　　“Will you tell me what’s bothering you ?” He asks, his tone softening as he entangles his hand with mine on the space I’d made between us on the bed beneath the sheets.

　　“Nothing. It’s just that…. I, uh…” I can’t think of a way to tell him what I feel without sounding like a complete maniac.

　　“Well, that was very elaborate of you,” Aiden replies, laughing at me as I pretend to be mad at him but a smile creeps up onto my face.
