Chapter 9 - Is he Even Alive?

“If it had been anyone else in place of you, I wouldn’t even be half as hurt as I am right now”, he said,” I treated you like my own daughter, the daughter I never had.” His voice started breaking in the end. I again wanted so bad to comfort him in any way I possibly could but I simply couldn’t.

“If it had been anyone except Master Derek that you’d killed, I could’ve at least given you a chance to explain yourself, tried to consider the fact that maybe you had a very good reason for doing so. Given this family’s track record, no one except Derek is completely clean. They’ve all done horrendous things, hurt people for their own gain. And maybe one of those people they’d hurt was you in some way. But killing honourable Master Derek?!
