Chapter 22 : Royal Attack

Everyone was on full alert after what had happened. The King was in distress, the Prince felt anguished. Elias felt everything was going in his favor. The people of the independent city of Acamas awaited for the worst. Above all Lucia was beyond worried about Alexius. One of the mines in the capital town of Acamas, Giannopoulos has been fired upon by none other than Greece. There had been no warning but it was expected but not this soon. Over thirty-six miners died as a cause of this and fifty- two rendered weak and injured. The council immediately held a meeting. It included Sir Pantelis, King Dysmas, Prince Alexius Nikoloudis II, Elias Catheles, Lefter Stratigos; an elder as well as Commander Athan Manousakis the young strong leader of the Acamas army. They had also been joined by a messenger from France ; Henry Sylvestre.
