Alessandra.

I’d been itching to leave the hospital.

I stayed an extra week after the girls visited, mostly because they wanted me to , Uncle wanted me to stay at his place afterward, but I turned him down. After what happened with Attorney Chen he went back to Australia with Liam.

Shockingly, Jeremy asked if I wanted to stay at his place. I didn’t even have time to say no before he blurted out another option....Killian’s.

Well… mostly because I kind of redecorated the place and the greenhouse was finally finished.

That offer, I accepted.

When Jeremy and I returned, he dropped me off and stayed a few days.....mostly because that asshole wasn’t around. I still haven’t seen him, It’s been almost a month.

Joyce and Jeremy have been coming over a lot for wedding planning which by the way, has turned into chaos because now we’re also juggling the engagement party.

So that’s been my week.

Right now, I’m in the greenhouse covering the sunflower seeds I buried with rose seeds .....t

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Fifty four - Father's new best friend

Alessandra's POV. “We’re here" Stella says. I blink finally registering my environment... Killian’s place. “Thanks so much… I’ll see you soon.” I grab the door handle about to step out when it hits me. Wait Killian’s place. Why are we at Killian’s place? I turn slowly to look at Stella. She’s glued to her phone again, thumbs moving fast. She’s been doing that a lot lately “Why would you drop me off here?” I asked, trying to keep my voice calm but it still came out tight. She doesn’t even glance up “Don’t you live here" Not a question. A statement. That pulls the air right out of my lungs. Stella finally looks at me her expression unreadable.....until she gives me a look......that look. saying she’s known for a while. My mouth opens but nothing comes out. I search for a reply an excuse, anything..... “When did you know?” I manage. She shrugs“I had my suspicions have you seen the way he looks at you in every room?” I looked away from her “It pretty m

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Fifty three - Voices in the Fountain

Alessandra's POV I finally decided to read Mom’s journal—mostly because her death anniversary is coming up. It’ll be the first one I’ve attended in years. I don’t even know if Dad has anything planned… not that he’d involve me. But I’ll be there, standing in the corner, playing my part.....I have to Still, I need backup. I roll over in bed, grab my phone and dial the one person who always picks up. He answers on the first ring "Hi, Bean." "Hi… Uncle. You’re not still mad at me, right? I’m sorry about that day." "It’s fine, Bean" he said voice soft "Like I told you.....you're no one’s toy." I hesitated, then asked "So… would you be in Italy any time soon?" "Translation: will I be at your mother’s death anniversary?" he said, already reading me like a book. "The answer to that would be no. as much as I’d love to be there for my girls, I’ve got a company to run and I have to make sure Liam doesn’t run it into the ground." We both chuckled. "And more importantly,"

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Fifty Two- The Princess and the Beast

Killian 's POV "Aren’t you guys married? Why... just why? And haven’t you been married for like twenty years?....is this necessary" I said, staring at Ronan and Lia, who had clearly just finished having sex and in the hospital no less . Her hair was a mess and Ronan was helping her with her zipper. If I’d walked in here a minute earlier, I would’ve needed therapy. "Twenty-five years," Ronan corrected, like that explained anything. "What are you doing here?" "Being your designated cock blocker " I replied, dropping onto the couch like I owned the place. Lia rolled her eyes, then looked behind me. "Where’s your brother? .....Where’s Jeremy? I asked both of you to be here." "He’s on his way," I said, stretching out and getting comfortable. Ronan had passed out last night and given that he’d already battled cancer once upon a time , Lia took his health a hell of a lot more seriously than he ever did. So when he collapsed again, it didn’t take much convincing for Jeremy and m

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Fifty one- Too Much and Not Enough

Alessandra's POV Last night was… well I don’t know how to feel about last night. Honestly, I really don’t and maybe I don’t even want to know. After the texting and his refusal to help me look for my ring, his phone rang—and just like that, he left. Literally stepped away from between my thighs, told me to go to bed like I was some kid with a bedtime and walked out. I don’t know when he came back. I must’ve been asleep. But I did see him this morning. Well... see is a generous word. Gawked. Stared. Maybe even drooled a little. Take your pick. He was working out in the courtyard like he had all the tension in the world to burn off. Shirt off. Muscles flexing like they knew what they were doing. And me? I was standing behind the blinds like a creep with a front-row seat and no shame. I didn’t have any plans today—for now at least. Killian left the house not long after his workout. It was almost two o’clock and if he went for a Brotherhood meeting.... he would be back

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Fifty - Let's just call it foreplay.

Alessandra's POV I waited. For something…anything. But nothing happened. I turned to him, my heart knocking in my chest. He was staring at me. Not smug. Not smiling. Just... watching. Then, without a word, he let go of my throat. Took my hand, placed the gun in my palm and then he walked away. Just like that…..Like he hadn’t spent the last ten minutes holding me hostage in my own skin. But I heard it...... I know I did. The click. The sound. The gun went off. So why—? I opened the chamber with trembling hands, expecting blood ,smoke…..anything. But it was empty. It was fucking empty. The gun had been empty the whole time. My jaw dropped. I stared at it, then at his retreating form and something inside me snapped. Forget panic. Forget tears. His stupid, reckless, manipulative ass…. I was going to kill him myself. I threw the gun at his retreating form but it the wall instead I walked into the kitchen and found him having a glass of water. Li

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Forty nine - Dead

Alessandra's POV. I braced for the pain.....for the darkness that never came. Instead, there was just breath in my lungs and the sound of my own racing heart. I opened my eyes, still blinking back the haze. “Well, since you didn’t answer,” he said, stepping in closer “this is my last one.” Panic hit hard. We both had one question left… One bullet. If I could end this....if I could just get away....we’d both live. There had to be a way out. I aimed my knee at his groin, but it was useless. He trapped my legs, held me there like I was nothing more than a puzzle he was almost finished solving. How the hell did I even end up on his radar? Then he reached under my dress. My eyes widened in disbelief as I felt the cold press of the gun between my thighs again. No threat could’ve been more deliberate. “You have scars on your back" he said. “How did they get there?” My breath caught in my throat. “Accident ” I managed. “That’s not exactly an answer.” “It was an acc
