There were so many reasons I started building and making those weapons as K but truthfully I never designed them my mother did ... after she died I came across her work book and then dad sent me a way ..I had access to his money so it wasn't difficult to get myself the proper equipment and supplies a place i could work too ... I'm the daughter who learned to shop online before I could bathe myself so he thought I was spending the money on luxury goods .. well at the time uncle Diego covered that aspect of my life ...

but this man in front of me...

“So, what...you know so much about me now?” I asked, my voice quieter than I meant it to be.

He hummed like he was thinking deeply.

“I only know what you let me know.”

I folded my hands tighter in my lap, eyes on a crack in the floor tile.

“Was my sister ever here too? you mentioned her ” I asked carefully.

He leaned back in his chair. “Once or twice. But nothing like yours. She came in just to talk. Nothing serious.”

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Hundred and seventeen - Grief 2

Alessandra’s POVLia had passed out not long after Killian disappeared. I should’ve gone after him sooner but....“Will you be alright by yourself?” I asked, my voice low, unsure.Ronan didn’t look up. His hand moved over Lia’s cheek in slow, repeated strokes, like he wasn’t even aware he was doing it. It wasn’t comfort. It wasn’t affection. It looked like muscle memory, like his body needed something to do to keep him from shattering.“Yes,” he said.He didn’t blink. Didn’t breathe, it seemed. He was lying. Of course he was lying. But what could I do? Some people needed silence more than company, and Ronan was one of them.So I nodded and opened the door to leave but I came face to face with someone who shouldn’t even be here .....but of course he was.My father. He wasn’t surprised to see me here do did he look like he came here to comfort me and since Ronan was too lost in Lia to notice anything outside the woman in his arms, he didn’t see it—the smile. My father’s smile. The one

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Hundred and sixteen - Grief that Will never go away.

Alessandra's POV All I could hear was the ringing in my ears. A sharp, high-pitched hum that made everything else feel far away....muted, like I was underwater. My eyes stayed fixed on the blood smeared across the front of my wedding dress. His blood. We rushed him here. Killian drove, breaking every law regarding traffic regulations that ever existed. I don’t remember speaking...I just remember holding Lia upright, helping her walk when her legs wouldn’t work right. She hasn’t said a word since we got here. She’s just sitting there now, completely still, staring at the floor like if she moves, she’ll fall apart completely. Killian is in the corner of the waiting room. Not standing, not pacing. He’s on the floor, his back against the wall, knees pulled up, head down, like he’s trying to hold himself together. I’ve never seen him like that before. Not even close. Ronan has been pacing. Restless. Angry, maybe, but not in the usual way. His eyes are red not from anger but from tear

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Hundred and Fifteen

Alessandra's POV My eyes were wide, fixed on Jeremy. And he was still smiling. The priest cleared his throat, clearly unsure what to do. He leaned back into the mic. “Do you take—” Jeremy let out a sigh and gently took the mic from his hands. “I said no,” he repeated, then glanced at the crowd. “Do you want me to say it in Italian? No.” A ripple of murmurs spread across the guests. Heads turned. Whispers followed like a wave. I scanned the faces—Lia looked frozen in place, eyes wide, hand to her mouth. Ronan sat back, completely indifferent, like he’d seen it coming. I leaned closer, my voice low enough only he would hear. “Jeremy, what are you doing?” He turned to me, calm, almost amused. Then he chuckled and lifted the mic again. “Well,” he said, “I have a story. A funny one, actually.” His gaze dropped to me, and this time, his smile was sharper. “You’re not quite my type.” What? My stomach turned. The whole world felt like it had gone quiet just to hear

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Hundred and fourteen

Alessandra’s POV “Uncle?” “Let’s go, bean. Everyone’s waiting for you.” His voice was calm, but his eyes never touched mine. They were locked on Killian—and if looks could kill, Killian wouldn’t be standing right now. I tried to pull away, but Killian didn’t move. He kept holding me, eyes fixed on mine like the rest of the world didn’t exist. Please. I begged him with just a look. My throat felt too tight to speak at first. But then I did. “Let me go,” I said quietly. “You’ll find someone one day. Someone who chooses you. I’m sorry that someone wasn’t me.” Each word scraped against my chest as I forced it out. I could feel something breaking.....cracking open between us. His eyes darkened. Whatever he was thinking, I didn’t want to know. I just knew I wouldn’t like it and things wouldn't go well for me if he goes through with it. “Please,” I whispered again, “let me go.” And for the first time in a long time, I saw him blink like it physically hurt. I begged him....and fin

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Hundred and Thirteen

Alessandra's POV. For a moment, I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t move. I just stood there, staring—like my brain needed time to believe what my eyes were seeing. It was him. Really him. My gaze drifted lower, down to his abdomen. The spot I’d aimed at. The spot where I .... My lips began to tremble, the breath in my chest catching like it didn’t want to be released. Something inside me cracked, just barely holding together. Stella gave my shoulder a gentle tap. “I’ll tell makeup to be on standby,” she said, her voice lighter now. “And please…..let yourself be happy.” I half-turned toward her, but I didn’t take my eyes off him. I couldn’t. I was terrified that if I blinked, he’d disappear.. Stella was already heading for the door when she called over her shoulder, “And for the love of all things expensive, please don’t have sex in that dress. We don’t have a backup.” A tiny scoff escaped my throat....barely there. And then it was just us. I looked back at him. Killian. Alive.

  • Ruin Me: Falling for My Best Friend’s Fiancée   Hundred and Twelve

Alessandra's POV I stood by the window, my fingers brushing the cold glass.Wouldn’t it be better if I just died?I may have killed the only person who truly cared about me. And now, I had to go on like nothing happened ....I still have to acknowledge Alex as my sister and Luke Castillo as my father, Marry Jeremy and have children for him within the year.I was dying slowly anyways ...why not just But then.....there was Mum.Her face flashed in my mind, and I stepped back from the edge. I couldn’t do that to her. I couldn’t break her that way..... If I die here she'll be in that prison ,that hell hole for the rest of her life, So I did what I always did.....shoved the pain down and moved like it didn’t exist.I threw my hair up into a quick bun, pulled on jeans and a top, and opened the door to leave.Only to slam right into someone.Lia.Her fist was lifted, frozen mid-knock. I stared at her, heart racing, unsure if she’d come to finish what I started.Would she slap me? Scream at
