Ruby’s POV

I screamed as he pushed his cock into me roughly. I tried to push him off, but he gently caught my wrist and kissed the back of my hand.

“Relax. Just breathe.”

“No… it’s too deep. It feels like it’s going to tear me apart.”

He smirked and kissed me hard, as if trying to make me forget the stretch of him inside me. Then he began moving slowly, kissing me the entire time, until the pain started melting into something warmer.

A few moments earlier…

I was going to celebrate my boyfriend Ethan’s birthday. We had been dating for two years, and I loved him more than anything. He was my light in the darkest moments.

I decided to surprise him. I went to his house without telling him, if I called ahead, it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore. Using the spare key he had given me, I let myself in and started setting everything up in the living room: his cake, a T-shirt in his favorite color, and the other gifts I had bought.

While I was arranging everything, I heard a sound coming from his bedroom.

Not just any sound.

Moaning.

I followed it, annoyed. The last time I had called him and heard something like this, he claimed it was just his friend bringing a girl over. I was starting to get tired of them ruining things.

I stopped in front of the bedroom door.

“Ahh… fuck…” a girl’s voice cried out, louder this time.

I was about to call Ethan and tell him his friends were at it again, when I heard a voice I knew too well.

“Fuck, babe… your pussy looks delicious today.”

Ethan’s voice.

There was no mistaking it.

I pushed the door open, and my heart stopped.

My boyfriend was fucking my best friend, Lisa.

“Ethan…” I whispered, covering my mouth as tears filled my eyes.

He quickly pulled out, yanked his boxers up, and rushed toward me, sweating and panicked. Lisa just sat there on the bed like she hadn’t done anything wrong.

“Babe, it’s not what you think,” he said.

I almost laughed at how pathetic that sounded.

“You told me you would wait until I was ready,” I said, trying to hold back the tears. They fell anyway.

Lisa let out a mocking laugh.

“Come on, Ruby. This is the Gen Z era, not your grandparents’ time. Ethan couldn’t wait forever. He wanted to fuck, and you should be glad I helped him out.”

I looked at Ethan, hoping, praying, he would say she had seduced him, that it was a mistake. But he just stood there, staring at the floor, too ashamed to meet my eyes.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I turned and ran out of the house.

I ended up at a bar, ordering drink after drink until the world started to blur. Until I couldn’t feel anything clearly anymore.

How could he?

I had loved him. I had been ready to give him everything. Did I really have to give him my body just to keep him?

Every time I had called and heard moaning… it hadn’t been his friend.

It had been him. Fucking my best friend.

I stood up, intending to find the bathroom, but I wasn’t walking straight. I bumped hard into someone, my face landing against a solid chest.

I looked up and met a pair of striking blue eyes.

God.

He looked like an angel who had fallen straight out of heaven.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

Even his voice was deep and beautiful.

“Wow… you’re so handsome,” my drunk self blurted out.

My hand lifted and pressed against his chest before I could stop myself.

“Are you a male model?” I asked.

He raised an eyebrow, slightly amused.

“Do I look like one?”

“You look like everything,” I said shamelessly. “Just tell me how much for the night. I can afford you.”

He smirked and gently lifted my chin so I had to look at him properly.

“Are you sure you can afford me?”

Something in the way he said it sent a strange chill down my spine, but I was too drunk to care.

“Yes. So come on—two hundred? Three hundred? Five hundred?”

He smiled.

“You’ll find out soon enough.”

Then he lifted me into his arms and carried me out of the bar.

Little did I know that this one decision would ruin me forever.

Zane’s POVI looked at the silly girl standing in front of me, pretending she had no idea who I was. Acting like nothing had happened between us.“That’s not how you sounded when I was fucking you,” I said again, watching her carefully. She froze.“I… don’t know what you’re talking about, sir,” she tried to deny it.I gave her a mocking smile. “Really? I think I still have the video of you screaming until you fainted.”Her eyes widened. “You… you recorded us?”I nodded slowly. Of course I was lying. I wasn’t that kind of bastard. I just wanted her to stop pretending.I stood up and walked toward her. She immediately started backing away.“You even had the nerve to leave five hundred dollars on my nightstand,” I said, closing the distance until I had her pinned against the wall, my arms caging her in.“I… I thought you were just some male model,” she stammered. She wasn’t completely wrong. She had been drunk and clearly going through something that night.“And were my skills in bed rea

Ruby’s POVThe next day, I started my first official day at work. I woke up earlier than usual, my stomach tight with a mix of excitement and nerves. For the first time in a long while, I felt like I had something to look forward to. I got dressed carefully, checked myself in the mirror more times than necessary, and left the house with a small smile on my face. When I arrived at Blackwood Holdings, I made sure I was on time. Honestly, no one in that building could have been more excited than I was. This job was my fresh start. After everything.I was shown to my desk by one of the staff members. It was neat, simple, and positioned near a large window that overlooked part of the city. My first task was straightforward: make copies of some documents for the CEO. Apparently, he had been busy the day before, which was why his assistant had handled my interview instead.I didn’t really understand why the CEO couldn’t just ask his assistant to do the copying, but who was I to complain? I w

Ruby’s POVThe next morning, I woke up with an ache all over my body. That man had been wild. If I hadn’t blacked out last night, I honestly don’t think he would have stopped.I turned my head and looked at him. He was still asleep, looking almost unreal. Handsome wasn’t the right word. He was too beautiful for it.I carefully got out of bed so I wouldn’t wake him and quietly got dressed. When I checked my phone, I saw twenty missed calls from Ethan. What did that bastard want now?I pulled five hundred dollars from my purse and left it on the nightstand.“You performed well,” I whispered to his sleeping form, then walked out of the bedroom. As I moved through the house—no, the mansion, I was stunned. How could a male model afford a place like this? Maybe because he looked the way he did. People would pay anything for him.I needed to get out of here.I hurried toward the exit and almost crashed into a young man coming the other way.“Sorry,” I muttered, then kept going without lookin
