"In the world of shadows, loyalty is bought, love is a weapon, and once the mafia claims you, you're ruined—body, soul, and everything you once believed in." Enzo Mezzesalma was cold, aggressive, ruthless, and grim. He had no weakness until he met her and once he got a taste of her, she became his new addiction, now he couldn't let go and she became his only weakness and now, they all wanted her just so they could ruin that perfect facade he had built over the years but only if they knew he was worst than the monster they had never heard of, he was just too good at hiding it. There had to be a reason for Rule Number 3, right? *~* It was summer and Anastasia thought the rest of her days would be sunny but she was dead as she stepped into her home for the first in two years after moving to the university campus to be exchanged for her parent's debts and just like that, Anastasia was thrown into the Mafia world, working as a maid to pay off her parents debts and then she met Enzo Mezzesalma and rule number 3 said: Stay Away From Enzo Mezzesalma. Anastasia didn't know when she started breaking that rule and got herself buried in a hole she wouldn't be able to pull herself out. "My own death does not frighten me, but yours? Oh, that's my greatest and deepest fear," - Enzo Mezzesalma "Being his slut and being a slut are two entirely different things," - Anastasia Martin

I remembered the day it all unfolded like it was yesterday, the day my life took a dramatic and unexpected change.
Sitting there in the backseat of a moving taxi, My attention was riveted on the open window cab, earbuds stuffed in my ears, gazing as buildings passed one after the other in the lively metropolis of New York since it was the holidays.
The clouds were clinging to the endless sky, the July afternoon sky was a brilliant blue, and the air was energizing and invigorating as I inhaled through the window.
I grinned as the breeze stroked over my golden-brown hair and caressed my molten cheeks. I repositioned my spectacles on the bridge of my nose. I could feel it in my bones that this was going to be a wonderful season for some reason.
"We've arrived, Miss,"
I took out the earbuds from my ear when the driver broke my train of thought and I realized the car had finally stopped in front of my home.
Nodding, I stepped out of the car, went to the back, and took my suitcase, and instantly, the driver drove off while I stood in front of the white fence that led to the front porch of the home I once lived in before I moved to the university dorms.
Reaching the front porch, I realized how peaceful the neighborhood was which was an odd sight since it was only pm but I shrugged my shoulders and knocked on the door, beaming as I waited for my dad or mom to open the door but it was anything but anticipated as the door unbarred and I found myself staring at the tallest and bulkiest man I've ever seen.
He stared down at me, making me feel so ant-like. Who was he and what was he doing in my parent's home?
Before I could voice out my discomposure, a fastidious and predominant voice with a thick Italian accent articulated from the inside.
"Who is it Eagle?"
The galactic man known as eagle resorted without looking away from me. "I believe it's their daughter boss,"
"Bring her in, I'm sure she'd love to join the party," the same authoritative voice continued and suddenly, I was seized roughly by the wrist and was being tugged into my home with my suitcase left forgotten.
However, the scene inside made my stomach twist and seethed and my heart plunked down to my stomach at the sight of my parents on their knees, hands, and ankles bound while their heads were held down forcefully by two men with queerish and frightening tattoos.
Finally, my eyes ducked on the man in a black suit crouching on the couch, leg crossed over the over, lips clashing around a stick of cigar while his domineering and caliginous gaze was fixed on me. I gulped at the dominion that raged off him, the sovereignty that haled one to their knees.
He pulled out the cigar from his mouth and let the smoke into the air. "Welcome home sweetheart, your parents missed you a lot," his tone dipped nocuously.
What was the meaning of this, what was going on? I wanted to speak but words hooked on my throat. "Mom, Dad," I managed out perplexed and frightened to the core. Who were these intimidating people? "What is going on?"
"Ana!" Mom suddenly sobbed, wanting to lift her head but the force pressing her head down was stronger.
"Let go of her, you are hurting her!" I exclaimed when my mom wailed in pain.
The man laughed. "You see sweetheart, your parents owe me millions and thought they could run away, I've decided to return the favor,"
Millions? "That's not true,"
He sneered, taking a drag of his cigar. "You can ask them yourself, sweetheart,"
I looked over at my parents. "Mom, Dad, please tell me that's not true,"
"We are sorry Ana, we are so sorry!" Mom hollered.
"What did you do with the money, just return it!" I demanded since I didn't remember receiving money from them in school.
"It's gone!" Das clamored.
"Gone? I don't understand, were you robbed, what did you do with it?" I demanded and the unknown man laughed in his heavy Italian accent.
"Drugs, drinks, gambling, every felonious game, you name it darling," he smirked while his eyes scintillated with diversion before taking another tow of his cigar.
I shook my head. "No, that can't be,"
Suddenly, he was rising from his seat, standing tall and mighty. He let his cigar drop to the floor and he crushed it underneath his shiny and polished shoes. "I've entertained you enough. My boys are impatient you see, they want to play,"
Play? What did that mean?
I didn't get to voice out my thoughts as one of the men pulled out a gun from the back of his pants and pressed it against my dad's nape. My eyes nearly hurled out of my sockets while my heart galloped in trepidation.
"Let's stain their carpet, shall we?"
"NO!" I screamed and so did Mom.
"Please, take our daughter and spare our lives!" She continued and my jaw dropped and my throat went dryer than the desert.
What?!
"Yes, you can have her do whatever you want, she would be of good use to you than the cost of our lives!" Dad added.
I stood frozen but when the austere man looked back at me, I felt like running and when I took a step back, my back hit something solid before arms grabbed me. A scream mangled out of me.
"Indeed, she's a pretty one. She would fetch in good money with her legs open,"
I shook my head while tears streamed down my face. "Please no, I don't want any part of this, please let me go!"
Again, he smirked and walked closer, grabbing the side of my mouth and digging his fingers in. "I trust you heard what your parents said, they are exchanging you for the millions they owe me," then he reeled my head towards the direction of my parents. "I am not the monster here darling, they are and you should always remember that," he roughly let go of my aching jaw and stepped back.
"Andiamo soldati. Our work here is done,"
And then, everything went black.

(KHIONE'S POINT OF VIEW)I locked my gaze on the pregnancy kit, which returned my gaze with two bold red lines.I was pregnant.I sighed and dropped my hands to my lap, making no attempt to rise from the toilet seat."Khione, Khione, Khione. "How can you let yourself get pregnant again?"The guilt of losing my first pregnancy was still swollen on my chest, and it had no intention of leaving anytime soon. and now, another baby was on its way."Khione, are you okay in there?"Giovanni's voice came from the other side of the bathroom door. When I finally stood up with the pregnancy test, my legs wobbled. I felt drained when I shouldn't be.I stepped out of the bathroom and into my bedroom, where Giovanni waited with a worried expression."Are you okay?" He inquired before his gaze was drawn to the pregnancy kit in my hand. His pupils dilated as they met mine. "You're preg-""I am afraid of having another child, Giovanni." I interrupted him before he could continue. "Wha
(ENZO'S POINT OF VIEW)I tried to stop myself from pacing, but I couldn't, not when Anastasia's loud screams were coming from behind the door in front of me. She was calling for me; giving birth to our child, but I couldn't go in; I wasn't allowed to, and she had to bear all that pain alone.I despised the feeling of being useless and helpless.I was about to become a father. The thought both excited and terrified me. I knew nothing about being a Father. It had always been drugs, guns, and trying not to go insane. I never imagined bringing a child into my chaotic world, but this child was on its way. Would I make a good father?Damnit!"Did you know that the longest English word contains 189,819 letters?"I turned my head, glaring at Kai, who was leaning against the wall. He shrugged. "I was trying to cheer you up, but that'd be a badass word, isn't it? Fortunately, I dropped out of school." He chuckled."Be quiet." I snapped."You worry too much. It is not flattering on you. It tarn
(ANASTASIA'S POINT OF VIEW)"We are here, Ma."The sound of the driver's voice made me turn my head and look out the window. We were in front of a dilapidated apartment building in a busy and active neighborhood. I cocked my head to the side as I observed kids running around and laughing heartily. There were a few men carrying objects and three tattooed men smoking outside the corner.I noticed two neighborhood stores right next to the building. I averted my eyes as I fixed them on the tall, old building. Would I really find my parents here?Max had better not mislead me. I told the driver to "wait here" before getting out of the car without thinking, and fastened the buttons on my coat to cover my growing stomach.Yes, I was four months pregnant, and despite my concerns, Enzo had been exhilarated about having a child.I felt like everyone was looking at me the moment I stepped out of the car, but I chose to ignore them as I heaved a sigh and entered the building.I
(KHIONE'S POINT OF VIEW)A few days passed, and I'd avoided Giovanni like he was some plague and struck Charlie's side like glue; he even wanted me gone, but Giovanni seemed to have taken it as a hint that I'd chosen Charlie over him and decided to leave on his own.I remembered the tears in his eyes as he told me to be happy, and I wished I'd stopped him when he walked out of my home, but I was a coward. Even Charlie scolded me for it, but I was scared.I was afraid of giving in again. What if everything went wrong again? What if something happened to separate us again? I couldn't help but feel insecure. I sighed for the nth time that day, glancing at the door again and again, hoping Giovanni would appear with the smile that melted my heart and the smirk that created a pool of wetness between my legs, but I knew it was wishful thinking. I knew that no matter how many times I looked at the door, he would never appear; after all, it had been two weeks since he had given up and walked
(KHIONE'S POINT OF VIEW)When I walked out of the school and into the parking lot, I was surprised to see Charlie and Giovanni talking with their backs to me.I paused, my mind telling me to turn and walk away before they noticed my presence, but another part of me told me to get closer, especially when I heard them say my name.I did not move any closer when their words became clear, and fortunately, they had not noticed me yet."Don’t you think you have been a nuisance lately? If I were Khione, I would have gotten rid of you." Charlie spoke.Giovanni scoffed. "Since you're not Khione, that's not your call, and I'm going to be around for as long as she wants me to be.""But she is not interested in you. Isn’t that self-evident? She is already in love with me, and your presence only adds to her pain from the past she wishes to forget. I believe Khione is being overly nice and is unable to say no when she clearly wants to." Charlie stuffed his hands into his pants pocket.I averted my
