“Can you wiggle your toes or gently move your ankles?” I asked without glancing up at him.

I'd rather be anywhere else than here right now.

No, scratch that, I'd rather be in Zander's arms than here and that thought alone showed how much I've grown.

When Chase didn't reply, I glanced up at him and he had a smile on his face as he stared at me.
