MasukChapter 2: His Cruel Behavior
Jasmine Reign's POV "Well, shall we meet at nine?" Chris asked, grinning at us like he already knew the answer. I nodded, that happens to be my free time for today, so it worked out perfectly. "How did you know nine is our free time? Did you… sneak a peek at our schedule or something?" Aby asked, suspicion and curiosity mixing in her tone. Chris just smirked at us, all casual, like it was the most normal thing in the world. Aby lightly punched his shoulder, playful but firm. "You got our schedule, but we don’t even know yours! That’s so unfair. Hand it over," she demanded, holding out her hand. Chris raised an eyebrow, giving a slow, dramatic sigh. "Here, bitch," he said, tossing his schedule toward her. I leaned closer to Aby to glance at his schedule. Two free periods. Lucky bastard. Seriously, life’s already unfair sometimes, but that’s ridiculous. "Oh, I have English class at eleven this morning too. Reign, you have it as well, right?" Aby asked, peeking at me. I nodded, confirming her suspicion. Chris and Aby both grinned, clearly pleased. "Looks like we’ll be stuck together at eleven every Monday and Friday. Perfect," Abigail said, excitement lacing her voice. I just nodded again, quietly resigned to our fate. Chris is chasing his dream to become a fashion designer, while Aby is studying to be a stewardess. Perfectly practical, ambitious, and… completely different worlds from me. Abigail is tall, with light brown hair and sparkling green eyes. Honestly, she’s stunning, like someone walked straight out of a magazine. Chris… well, he’s ridiculously handsome. Deep ocean-blue eyes, sharp features, a smile that makes everyone swoon. And of course, he’s gay. Everyone knows it. Everyone accepts it. Everyone except the occasional hopeless girl who still dares to fall for him. I can’t blame them. He’s attractive, ridiculously so. Looks like a woman trapped in a man’s body sometimes. He’s said himself we can’t do anything to change him. The only choice is to accept it. And accept it, I have. "So… we head to English class after our free period?" Chris asked, snapping me back into reality. "Yeah, nine it is," I replied, shrugging casually. His grin widened, ridiculous and victorious. He clapped his hands three times, like a conductor signaling the start of a concert. "Great! I’ll head off now. First professor is a terror, haha, so goodbye for now! See you soon, bitches!" He spun around and strutted away, completely unapologetic. "Good luck to you too, bitch," Aby called after him, laughing softly. I just shook my head, smirking. "I wish you luck, Christian," I teased. He shot me a middle finger over his shoulder and chuckled, leaving me shaking my head. Mission accomplished, apparently. We watched him disappear into the crowd, and once he was gone, I glanced at Aby. She looked at me, eyebrows raised. "Shall we go now?" I asked. Her first class was close to mine, so we walked together. The hallway was packed with students, all jostling, chatting, and doing their own thing. A few groups were giving one unlucky student a hard time. My eyes widened slightly. Poor guy. I silently hoped no one would notice me and make me the next target. That would be a disaster. "I’ll stop here. See you later, and Reign… loosen up a bit. Good luck today," Aby said, smiling warmly. "Thanks, you too," I replied. She nodded and slipped into her classroom, leaving me alone in the crowded hallway. Just me, my books, and the sea of students around me. I clutched my bag tighter, mentally repeating, Don’t let anyone notice you. No one will look at you. No one will bully you. Just blend in. I took a deep breath, wishing this school year would be as peaceful as last year. Good grades, minimal attention, zero drama. The way I liked it. But peace never lasts long. A sudden scream pierced the air. A girl’s voice, loud and sharp, cutting through the crowd. I froze. What now? People were running, chaos spreading fast. My eyes widened as students barreled past me. "They’re here!" someone shouted. Before I could react, someone bumped into me. My books tumbled to the ground, luckily I didn’t. I knelt quickly, gathering them, muttering under my breath. Crazy people. When I finally looked up, I saw them. Him. Walking like he owned the hallway, surrounded by students desperate for attention. His friends followed, grinning, feeding off the chaos. The attention seekers. They lacked respect, self-control, and apparently a moral compass. I was about to walk past, ignoring the spectacle, when my eyes caught something. A girl, holding a small gift, standing nervously in front of him. Oh no. Bad move, girl. "Please… this is for you. I really, really like you, Draven," she said, voice trembling but brave. The faintest edge of a smile lifted his lips. My heart sank. This was not going to end well. He smirked, taking the gift, holding it for just a moment before tossing it straight into the trash. The girl’s smile disappeared instantly, replaced by shock, hurt, and disbelief. "Find someone lower than me. Don’t dream of someone you can’t have. And one more thing…" He scanned her from head to toe, his gaze cold. "You’re not my type." And just like that, he walked away, leaving her standing there, humiliated. His friends laughed, congratulating him, but I felt sick. That was cruel. That wasn’t “cool,” that was heartless. I hesitated, then stepped forward. "Here." I handed her my handkerchief. She looked up, eyes blazing. "I don’t need your pity," she snapped. "Take it. I’m not pitying you," I said firmly, placing it in her hand. "I said I don’t need your pity—" "Whatever you say. I don’t have time to argue. You’ve done enough already. You deserve someone better than him." I started to walk away, leaving her to process it. Why did people even fall for him? Handsome, rich, famous, charming—but heartless. You can’t force someone’s love. Ever. I shrugged and walked toward my first class. Lucky for me, I arrived just on time. I slid into my chosen seat, exhaling in relief. And then our professor arrived. Yeah… today is going to be long. Very, very long.Chapter 10: DinnerJasmine Reign’s POV“Yeah, right. I still cannot believe they were that nice too,” I said with a small laugh. “Anyway, let us continue working.”I nodded my head at my own words and smiled faintly.“Alright,” Aby replied.Time passed quickly, and we had plenty of customers before nine o’clock in the evening. Just like my mother instructed, we closed the shop exactly at nine.“You really have the tongue of an angel,” Aby said happily as she removed her cap and placed it on the counter. “You said this café would be crowded tonight, and it actually happened.”I smiled softly and let out a tired sigh. I did not expect it either, but it would definitely be good news for Mom, and I knew it would make her happy.“It has been a tiring night,” I said gently. “We should go home now, Aby.”She nodded. “Yeah, we should.”“Ladies, are you going home now?”We both turned toward Jefferson when we heard his voice. I honestly thought he had already left.“Yes,” Aby answered cheerful
Chapter 09: JeffersonJasmine Reign’s POV“Hey, Mom,” I greeted my mother as Aby and I stepped inside the café we owned. The familiar smell of coffee beans and baked pastries wrapped around us the moment we entered. She stopped wiping a table and looked up at us in surprise.Aby stood just behind me. When my mother saw the two of us together, her face instantly softened. She smiled warmly and walked toward us.“Hey,” she greeted back before hugging me tightly, then pulling Aby into a hug as well.“Hello, Aunty,” Aby greeted my mom politely while returning the hug.“It’s good to see you here,” my mom said with a gentle smile. “Are you helping again today?”Aby nodded eagerly, her smile genuine and bright.“Yes, Aunty. I am willing to help.”“Oh, that is lovely,” my mom replied happily. “Do you two not have homework?”Aby and I both shook our heads at the same time.“No,” we answered in unison.“Great,” my mom said, clearly relieved.“Mom,” I called out, and she turned to look at me.“Y
Chapter 08: GazeThird Person POVThe three of them glared at him without restraint, their eyes sharp and unyielding.“Did you just warn us?” Draven asked venomously. This son of a bitch really had the nerve to mess with them so openly, as if he did not understand who he was standing in front of.Mr. Landers smirked and slowly began to approach them, his shoes echoing faintly against the classroom floor.“I just did, Mr. Green,” he answered bravely, his tone steady despite the danger written all over their faces. They stared at him with amused disbelief. Was he even aware of what he was doing? He could lose his job in a matter of seconds, maybe even less if they truly wanted it.But no. Before he lost his work, he would suffer first in their hands.Ryder looked at him intently, his gaze cold and unreadable.“Do you know the consequences of your actions?” Ryder asked seriously, his voice low and controlled.Mr. Landers met their eyes without hesitation and answered firmly, “I am comple
Chapter 07: The DevilsThird Person’s POV“Did you see her face? Damn, that was hilarious,” Rocco said, laughing hard as he spoke to his friends, clearly entertained by what had happened a few moments ago. “Haha.”Just like in the old days, they had humiliated someone again right in front of everyone. It felt familiar, almost routine, like an old habit they never bothered to break. In their minds, it was never their fault anyway. That girl had a big ego, too much confidence, and clearly did not know her place. She was desperate, craving their attention like it was something she needed to survive. Sadly for her, they had no interest in her at all, not even a tiny bit. So who was really at fault here? Definitely not them, at least that was how they always saw it.“Right,” Ryder agreed, shaking his head with amusement. “Now I regret not bringing my camera with me. That would have been gold.”Draven continued walking ahead of them, silent and detached, his boots hitting the pavement in a
Chapter 06: CafeteriaJasmine Reign’s POVWe finally reached the cafeteria, and all I could say was one honest thought running through my head. Damn, it was crowded. The place buzzed with noise, laughter, and the scrape of chairs against the floor. The moment I took it all in, a small wave of discomfort settled in my chest. Too many people, too much movement, and not enough space to breathe.“Choose our seats. I’ll be the one to order our food,” Chris said confidently, already rolling his shoulders like he owned the place. Honestly, that worked perfectly for me.“Alright,” I replied, offering him a quick smile.“What should I order? Type A or Type B?” he asked us. Aby and I both chuckled at the same time. He was still using those ridiculous food codes of his. Type A meant lasagna, cheeseburger, and a can of Coke. Type B stood for salad, soup, and fruit juice, which he clearly judged with his soul.“Type B for me. I really need to diet. I’m getting fat,” Aby said dramatically while exa
Chapter 05: RudeJasmine Reign’s POVI just shrugged my shoulders and moved my gaze away. Focus on yourself, Reign. There should be no problems, just keep yourself away from trouble and stay out of unnecessary drama. That is the best way to survive today.“Look at her reaction. She didn’t even giggle or smile,” Aby whispered, her voice dripping with disbelief. I cringed at her words. Why should I smile? What’s so good about them staring at us anyway? I find it really creepy. I can already feel it—like they’re just waiting to make fun of us, and we’ll probably be their next target. Geez, I really hope that doesn’t happen.“Stop, Aby. That’s not making any sense at all,” I told her firmly. She just sneered at me and leaned over to whisper something in Chris’ ear. After she spoke, they both burst into soft giggles. Are they keeping secrets from me now? Of course they are. I can tell.“Care to share what’s so funny with me?” I asked, looking between them, but they just shook their heads a
