LOGINKehlani's POV
Trevor's eyes widened and I'm exhaling deeply to catch my breath. He must have practiced for his game that's why he looked like a hot demigod on this towel.
“Uhh, Kehlani. You do realize you're on top of me.” He whispered. Then it dawned on me I truly was on his body. I raised my head slowly. Bunch of heads staring.
“Oh my gosh!” I screamed in embarrassment and ran out to the girls locker room this time. “Oh jeez. What are you thinking?” I slapped myself, complaining and stomping my feet angrily. After wasting minutes there, I decided to run to class.
“Where did you run to?” Olive scolded me quietly while there was a teacher in our midst.
The fact that Olive doesn't know what's going on especially with the advice she gave me bothered me alot. I just didn't know how to tell her yet.
“Uh, I had to go throw up.” I lied.
“Throw up? What? Are you pregnant?”
“No.” I rolled my eyes. “Maybe it's gastritis. In the morning I lay after eating. I'm fine now.”
She gives me a lingering stare before murmuring ‘whatever.’ and continued writing. Trevor enters the class and I make sure my head is facing my book. He shouldn't see me yet till our meeting spot at the oak tree. Then I swallowed, heart heavy as he actually sits on the empty seat close to me.
I turned my neck slowly and he's casually folding his arms, chewing a gum which pronounced his jawline. Olive nudged me, whispering to me why Trevor is sitting besides me. For all I know, she doesn't like him. I shrugged and told her to face the board.
“What?” I whispered to Trevor and he smirked.
“I'm just sitting. Do you have a problem with it?”
“We're not supposed to talk like this in class. We'll meet during lunch at the oak. Go away.” I shut my eyes.
“Okay.” He stood up and moved. I wasn't expecting that. I thought he would argue and argue but thankfully he did leave.
“What was he telling you?”
“Uhh, he was asking some questions about the classroom. Anyways? What does Mrs June mean by diction?” I quickly changed the subject. My eyes roamed around the class and I saw Maddie resting her head on Elliot's shoulder. I clenched the biro on my hands, almost breaking it. They'll pay for hurting me.
At lunch time, I managed to escape from Olive and I bet she would be so suspicious. I'm staring at my watch non stop. At the relaxation spot. Finally, I see him from afar and he finally sits down.
“Took you long enough.” I fold my arms
“Sorry.” He grinned. “I had to take care of something.”
I rolled my eyes. “Why are you smiling?”
“Because we're gonna talk about what you said earlier at the boys room. Firstly, why did you storm in?”
“It was a mistake. I don't know. I just didn't mean it. And yes, I said yes.”
He leaned closer. “So, Kehlani. I see you made up your mind.” He nods in appreciation or satisfaction. “Good one.”
“Hold on. How about your promise to make me win the scholarship.” I furrowed my brows.
“I got it. Where's your document? Do you have it here?”
“No. It's at home.”
“Yeah, I'm going to make you win. So, now that you've said yes. It means a lot.” He held my hands placed on the table and I broke the bond.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you doing?”
“What? Am I wrong for holding my girlfriend's hands?”
I blushed at first, then rubbed my neck and looked away. “Jeez, that title is a lot. And besides, we should have done this like a contract or something. There has to be something that proves all this is a win-win beneficiary type of deal!” I hissed assessingly.
He chuckled. “I’m not involving a third party, a lawyer. Because I want this only between us both.” He brings out a printed paper from his bag. “But I did bring this.”
“What's that?”
“Rules. Rules we follow now that we're boyfriend and girlfriend.”
“Fake.” I corrected, laying emphasis. I collected the paper from his hands and read through. “The fake relationship contract.” I laughed and continued reading while he relaxed back, watching the surroundings.
“Rules we follow. Number 1. No intimacy, strictly platonic.” I laughed. Of course. We're not doing that. My eyes went back to the paper. “Unless Sharing kisses and hugs in front of everyone in the rink and in the classroom.” I gulped. “Two, always display PDA to make the relationship look real. Three, Must follow Trevor to the rink to snap and cheer. Four, Always be together especially in front of staff. Five, Trevor would always follow her to club meetings and Academic review meetings so they can see he's slowly changing from his bad ways and believe he's no longer that criminal goalie but a good guy.”
I stared at him and smiled. “You, good guy?”
“Yeah. I want to change for my parents sake.”
“Okay. Six, Never miss his match and always there in every inter or intra school games. She must not be shy
She must smile and hold hands
She must put effort to make him the best player with her photography club team and feature him in magazine and school activities
She must support his team and
She must do everything to bring down Elliot's team by opening an anonymous account to bring Elliot down after he manipulated her.”
My eyes widened and I wanted to feel pity but I remembered all he had done so I clenched my jaws. “I like that one.”
Now, reading the ‘Rules we mustn't break. “We don't have to make love anywhere that isn't school unless it's in front of both our parents. Must not develop feelings.
Must not kiss unnecessary..
Must not have any right to get jealous.(It's a deal relationship)
Must not limit one from doing what they want to do. I, Trevor, must help her win the scholarship. If I don't, she has every right to do whatever she wants. Hmm. Interesting.”
He takes the paper from me and signs it on the box and gives me to do the same. I took a deep breath and drew my signature.
He hands me the paper. “Keep it. Safe. I'm following you home after school to collect your document so I will start working on it and give you information.”
I giggled, kicking my feet. “Yes!”
“Now, we're officially fake partners.” He stands up and gives me his hand.
“What?”
“What do you mean? Let's go…girlfriend.”
“Kehlani is better.” I pursed my lips.
He smirked. “Or babe.”
“Oh my goodness.” I sighed and took his hands. “Wait, so, everyone's gonna know now?”
“Yes.” He nods.
“They're gonna see us.”
“Uh-huh. And after school, we're going to the rink. I got you a new camera.”
“No way.” I stared at him, surprised.
“Let's go. Brookstone latest couple.”
“Oh my gosh. What's Olive going to say?”
Trevor pushed me forward as I'm reluctant to go. He's stronger than I am. And I can't help but panic as we stepped onto the door of that cafeteria.. “Trevor, please. Not today. I think we should go back on our deal. I don't want to do this anymore.” I cried out gripping the door while he pulled my hands out.
“Relax.”
His hands slid around my waist pulling me so close as he walked in. His touch sent shivers to my spine.
The room froze. Every head turned. Silence tore between. Even the sound of plates and fork wasn't heard. Deep down, I wanted the floor to swallow me.
Before we turned a corner, I see olive. Our eyes met. Her jaw dropped as she stared in shock.
Her tray of food dropped from her hands.
Kehlani. “I'm sorry to piss you off. I didn't….”He laughed. “I'm not angry. I'm just shocked how you suddenly climbed on me.”I sat back at the edge. “Sorry. I was startled and didn't see that coming. That is never going to happen ever again. In fact, pretend I never did that. Never. Ever. This is your fault. You wanted to stay.”“Oh, wow.” He crossed his arms. “I wanted to stay, I never mentioned Netflix. You decided that and picked the movie yourself.”“Uhh. Whatever.” I continued to focus on the movie. “Whatever too.” He lay comfortably on the bed. I watched him with a side eye. An hour and minutes later, we were done at just 7pm. “Well, that was nice.” I turned the lights back on and rolled up the curtain. “Thanks. I wanna ask you something and please, do reply to me. Alright?”“I'm all ears.”“Whatever you and Elliot discussed, was it about me? Right before the fight started before the blow.”“Don't worry, you don't need to know.” He kept on repeating this and I didn't give
Kehlani. The moment everyone had left school, I was still waiting for Trevor outside his coach's office. I'm still reeling from shock while he fought with Elliot on the ice. I saw it all. How Elliot had started the fight before Trevor threw a punch. The moment the door opened and he came out, I ran to him. “Uh, are you okay?” I maintained eye contact and I saw his coach stepping out too. Trevor slowly took my hands and sighed. “Yeah. I am.”“Mhm-mhm” His coach cleared his throat and I pulled my hands away. “Mr Trevor's coach.” I greeted nervously.“Kehlani right?”I nod. “Of course sir.”The air was thick with tension as he stared at us. I knew he's shocked. “One of the brilliant students in school.” He praised me. “I'm surprised how the both of you are together. I never knew you too were close.”“Actually, we're dating. Kehlani is a good person. She's helping me become a…. I don't know…the change y'all want to see?” Trevor shrugged.“Wow, really?”“Haha.” I chuckled, nervous. “Tru
Trevor's POV I cleaned the stain on her cheeks and we're still in the same position. “Get off of me.” She says. I'm back to my senses and came off immediately. “You pushed me with you. That's why I fell. Gosh. Don't reduce the aura I have. People can't see Trevor falling to the floor.” She chuckled. “Please.” We're both walking to the rink now. Arguing and complaining. I watched keenly how Kehlani viewed the rink. She's looking like she's been here in a while. Of course, she hasn't been here since what Elliot did to her. She sighed, feeling disturbed. We're the only ones here. Early before the rest would come in and the game would start. I could imagine how the memories would flood through her head. The humiliation and crowd and heartbreak. Honestly, I felt for her that day. I just couldn't do anything. “You're good right?” I asked, while we looked down on the ice, hands on the rink. “Um, yeah. I guess.” She played her hands on her chest, that feeling of melancholy. I took he
Kehlani Jeez. I couldn't handle the tension, I just couldn't but anyways, Trevor still made me sit down. “Stay here, I'd get us food.” He walked to the counter and I nod shyly. Oh, wow. Now, he's suddenly the supportive boyfriend. Everyone seemed to have concentrated back on their business and my stomach couldn't help but clench when I saw Olive gaping at us. I turned and she's already sitting far away with some people. Her eyes didn't leave mine. Oh, I know that look. That look of ‘you owe me an explanation.’A tray is set before me and I'm back from drifting. “Thank you.” I forced a smile. “Don't thank me. Bare minimum by the way. And I know you don't mean it.” He sips his juice. “You know, the…atmosphere feels so threatening here.” I shift my eye balls to glance at Olive. She's looking dead right at me. “I know, you're nervous. Relax.. people are gonna talk. In fact, they're already doing that. And what's with it and your friend?”“Huh?” I raised my brow. “What's that?”“That

Kehlani's POV“Oh, here we go again.” Elliot muttered. “The fucking police.”A policeman stepped out while the car drove towards the house party. It becomes a mess as people fly from windows and such. Busted. “We're responding to the nearby complaint from a neighbor. You kids part of the party?”His eyes narrowed at the three of us and I bowed my head, wiping the smeared tears on my cheeks. Trevor rolled his eyes, with his hands in pocket. “Officer, we were just walking by.”“At 11?”“Because we have free will.” Elliot shrugged, casting a challenging look at the man. He looks at us keenly, knowing fully well Elliot had said it all, he sighed. “And you. You good?”Trevor's hands dropped over my shoulders. “She's very fine. We'll be leaving now.”The patrol car glide down and some people from the party were seen inside. We were dismissed and the officer leaves with his team. Trevor immediately grabs my hands gesturing we leave that spot…I don't care. I just wanted to go home after wh
