48. "The Day of The Festival"

Etizia's POV

"My friend didn't return anymore," I said to Timothy inside my new apartment.

It was the time before Timothy broke up with me and probably returned to Renoir to marry his mate.

Timothy looked at me and said, "You know, you always talk about that friend. Do you like him?"

My eyes widened. I was startled. Timothy was my boyfriend, I couldn't believe he's asking the question.

I grumbled, "Why are you even asking that? You know I love you."

"It's because you're always talking about him. How miserable you are now that he's gone. Maybe if we both vanished together, you'd miss him more than me," he remarked.

My heart raced as I refuted, "No, that's not true! The only wolf I care for is you, Timothy. Even without the mate bond, you'll always have my heart. That's the truth."

But deep down, I wasn't completely convinced.

Regardless, I kept that to myself. I tried my hardest to push away thoughts of the wolf I had grown close to while with Timothy.

Yet fate had other plan
