"The Lancasters and Leona are none of my business anymore." Amelia was deeply hurt but Charles's and Karen's attitude.

She even resented them now.

If they didn't care about her, why should she care about them? Would they help her in times of need if she helped them?

Liam was surprised by Amelia's answer. "I thought you would say yes to Karen."

Amelia was befuddled. "What makes you think that way?"

Then, she said, "Oh, I heard you acquired the Hamilton Group. Are they the Hamiltons I know?"

Liam's voice turned stern when the Hamiltons were mentioned. "Yes, Brandon's family business."

"Why? Isn't he a good friend of yours?" Amelia was confused.

"When you were kidnapped three years ago, he help
