Meeting the Family

Ella's POV

"I am David, your father," the man said, introducing himself to me.

When he finally pulled me out of his embrace and wiped at his eyes, I couldn't keep my mouth sealed despite the genuine love I saw in his green eyes.

"I am sorry, but how can you be so sure that I am your daughter?" I asked him in a small voice.

"You have the same red rose scent every royal member of the pack possesses and you are a spitting image of your mother..." He cupped my face between his palms as he spoke and I felt a lump rise in my throat.

"The connection I feel is so strong. It is the bond between a father and his daughter... There is no doubt within me," he finished.

A bubble seemed to form between us as I stared at him. I felt the connection he spoke about but it wasn't with him but with the other man on the other side of the room... Yet, I couldn't find it in me to tell him. His eyes were so full of joy as he held me, I couldn't ruin it.
