Chapter 26 Alpha Grayson's pov 

I couldn't believe Harkin saying what he had to Violet. She surprised me with her answer and even more when she appeared in the basement of Martinez's home to rescue me. The silver in my bloodstream was concerning and causing my flesh a grayish tinge. The doctor was drawing my blood to test how badly I'd been poisoned.

"Your Lycan half should fight and clean your blood if the infection isn't too far," he said firmly and ran the red substance into his Theranos machine. As we waited for the results Violet sat next to me holding my hand. Instead of nervously wringing her own she would periodically squeeze mine. I thought it was cute.
