Chapter 54 Violet's pov 

I felt horrible for being such a bitch to the vampire king and thought that perhaps he needed a mate to bring back his joy. Sierra was whimpering within my subconscious telling me he could find another and not our pup. I smiled slightly and glanced over at Grayson. His demeanor was so stiff and serious as they discussed the other Alpha that I felt the need to stretch my legs. I leaned toward him and tapped his shoulder.

"I'm going to go out back and get some fresh air while I stretch out my legs," I said softly and he nodded and told me to stick close to the patio.

"Of course," I replied and asked them to excuse me as I weaved my way out to the kitchen. When I entered Mabel was showing the king's staff where items were located in the large room.

"I'm going to the patio," I growled firmly and she nodded as she watched me slide open the door. I stood in the warm sun and hugged myself as I closed my eyes. I smiled, feeling the sun's rays on my face. I stepped off the patio and strolled
