"WHAT’S HAPPENING TO HER?!" Morbius coldly boomed as soon as he reached the room.
"We don't know, Master. I can't check her without burning." the family doctor answered in his worried tone.
"Burning?" he wondered what does it mean.
Morbius looked over the bed and Natasha's body was shivering. She was groaning in pain as she hysterically moved harshly on the bed. She was not possessed but she was steaming hot and nobody could touch her or get near the bed. She was like a sun on how hot her temperature was.
"She's hot like a sun." Sandy, the lady vampire servant who carried Natasha answered.
"Is she in heat?" Rizal wondered. The family vampire doctor shakes his head.
"No, I don't think so, Master because if she was, every mateless vampire and wolf alike will be here as well." The family vampire doctor cleared it out when they heard her groaning again.
"M-mate...argh..." Natasha groaned in pain and harshly her to get up from the bed and go to the corner of the room. They watched her carefully and worried what she might do to herself.
Natasha was on her knees groaning as she slammed her claws on the floor leaving some stretch marks. She growled as her angry veins started showing up and her bones were like breaking the old ones but she was not shifting. When she looked over them, they gasped but when her eyes found Morbius’s, her glowing deep sunny eyes stared at him.
“M-mate…” Natasha muttered as her groan began to lower down making the three vampires with Morbius look at him in wonder. Morbius didn’t speak and just curiously watched his beloved.
"W-what she's doing?" Rizal wondered and Morbius curiously watched his beloved mate action before them.
Her breathing and groaning started to lower and her heart rate calmed down. Even her sharpened nails were also turning back to the usual ones and the angry veins were nowhere to be found. Three vampires could not believe how much control she had in her.
"She's calming herself..." Dr. Ross commented while Morbius began stepping closer to where Natasha was calming herself.
Rizal was about to stop Morbius but Dr. Ross and Sandy stopped him. They sensed something that only Morbius could calm Natasha down. At every step Morbius did, the raging sun heat that Natasha was releasing was not affecting Morbius at all.
"Does the rain affect you this much?" they heard their master's question making them look over each other before looking at them again.
“What do you think after witnessing what just happened to me?” Natasha was firm but her weak voice was still noticeable as she fluttered her eyes open again.
Deep sunny eyes were no longer visible aside from dark hazel meeting the silver-grey ones. Having their eyes meet for the third time, Morbius was being headbut. Technically, Morbius was about to get punched again but when he held both of her hands, Natasha headbutted him.
"AW!" Morbius covered his face once again since he was hit again by his beloved mate.
"MASTER!!!" his three servants shouted and were about to help their master when Morbius spoke.
"Why do you have to hit my face twice in one day?!" He coldly glared at Natasha who was not being affected by it.
"REFLEXES!" Natasha exclaimed while trying to hide the fact that she was blushing.
"Reflexes?!" Morbius sounded like he was not buying Natasha's reasoning.
"YOU'RE BEING TOO CLOSE THAT'S WHY!" she rolled her eyes before shouting in embarrassment. Morbius smirked from within while his cold expression was still imperious like usual.
"As if you didn't like me being close to you when you've been calling for me." He shouted like he was teasing her. Natasha blushed more.
"W-WHAT THE F! I AM NOT!" She exclaimed and got up harshly yet it was a wrong move. She almost lost her balance if Morbius hadn't caught her. She was not fully recovered.
"Oh really...how about I remind you of how you call me...shall we test that, my lovely wolf lady?" Morbius coldly teased her forgetting that they weren't alone in the room. Three witnesses were watching them with confusion as to what was happening between them but could not utter any word to disturb their moment there.
"Wha-NO!" Natasha was caught off guard and blushed as her heartbeat was ringing through her hearing.
'He is being too close again...wolf, calm down...'
"Fascinating..." Morbius smiled through his mind before pulling away.
"Master?" Rizal coughed fakely but Morbius pretended that he didn't hear it.
"Be strong because you're not just any wolf that I've ever met." He mumbled which only Natasha could hear before he turned his tracks leaving the room as if nothing happened.
Feeling her heartbeat calm down from being ecstatic about being close to Morbius, she sighed in relief. It was like she'd been holding her breath even though technically she wasn't. She just headed back to the bed wobbling causing Sandy and Rizal to help her rest back on the bed.
“Thanks but was he always like that?” Natasha thanked them but wondered about Morbius.
“Once. Anyway, rest for more and better to eat your meal this time.” Rizal answered with a genuine smile.
“Hopefully, you won't run away this time…” Sandy, the vampire servant hopefully told her. Natasha smiled apologetically at her as she could sense that she was a good vampire.
“I don’t think I can for the meantime…my body was too tired,” Natasha told them and even admitted how her body needed some rest.
“Care to tell me, young lass, how long you have been controlling your wolf?” Dr. Ross, the family vampire doctor asked her directly.
“I don’t remember but I think when started studying college at the human dwellings…wait, do you know that I’m…” she answered honestly and wondered causing the family vampire doctor to smile pleasingly.
“Yeah, I’m Doctor Ross. The family vampire doctor of Draven household.” He introduced causing Natasha to nod in understanding.
“That’s understandable. You’re the only one who can tell that I’m not human, right?” she even managed to guess and the doctor nodded for confirmation.
“Is it because of your self-control?” the doctor asked again carefully.
“I am not sure when I started having a hard time whenever there’s a heavy rain or heavy storm. All I know is that I have to control myself from shifting since I’ve been surrounded mostly by humans.” She answered.
“It's good to have self-control but now that you’re here, release your wolf. It needed to be free,” he advised to her but Natasha sadly smiled at him.
“Only if I could, I already did…” she sadly smiled at them since she really could not shift for some reason that she didn't want to reveal to anyone.
“You mean you can’t shift anymore?” Rizal could not believe it. Natasha shrugged her shoulders.
“You already witnessed what could happened to me when my wolf tried to get out in the stormy heavy rainy season.” She informed them slightly and the family vampire doctor, Ross could tell that she was hiding something about it.
“In time, you’ll be able to shift soon.” Doctor Ross smiled genuinely at her as if he knew something that would make her shift again.
“I hope you and Master will get along since we’ve never seen him being too close to anyone he just met.” Rizal sounded hopeful for a better change around their master.
“But be warned that whenever he loses his cool and anger takes over, you better hide because he’ll do his tantrum and kill anyone beside him.” Doctor Ross chuckled as he warned her.
“Oh, that’s interesting.” Natasha chuckled as well and was intrigued about it.
“Seriously, we’re warning you for your life since he summoned you to go to his chamber when you’re fully recovered.” Sandy friendly chuckled.
“Well, I am fine but I need food.” Natasha sighed while holding her tummy she had been complaining as soon as her body touched the mattress.
“Here.” Sandy handed the tray of food for her breakfast.
“I’m Rizal, and this is Sandy, she’ll be with you wherever you go aside from getting inside Master’s chamber.” Rizal finally decided to introduce themselves to her. She chuckled at their late introduction but didn't comment.
“Oh, I’m Natasha. Just call me Nat.” She just introduced herself in return before she started digging her food. She could sense that she was not in any danger around these vampires, plus, she found her mate and Morbius was not pushing her away. Yet, he was cold.
Meanwhile, in Morbius's chaotic chamber, he sighed as he placed his hand over his chest feeling the beating of his heartbeat. He took a deep breath and carefully released them.
"She's really my second beloved mate..." Morbius sighed as he went to his small pantry to get his blood wine.
"...but what really made her weak on this rainy day?" he wondered while looking outside the window.
"Well, I will learn it soon or maybe later." He continued before drinking his blood wine.
Morbius was lost in his thoughts when somebody bragged inside his messy chamber. He sighed because he knew the light but rash footsteps of the twins. But before they could even hug him, he was gone already on his spot at the window.
"Daddy!" the young boy exclaimed when they saw Morbius standing by the opened door.
"That's unfair." the young girl pouted. Morbius sighed,
"Quit whining and didn’t I tell you to knock or not even enter my chamber?" he coldly reminded them.
"Sorry..." They flinched. Morbius might hate it but he doesn't know how to act around them.
"We miss you, Daddy!" the young girl pouted as they went to his side.
"Leave." Morbius sighed as he closed his eyes as he tried to control his temper.
"But Daddy, play with us." the young boy pleaded and even Morbius wanted to, he didn't know how.
"DO YOU THINK I HAD TIME FOR THAT?! LEAVE!" He snapped. The twins flinched and started crying.
“Dammit! I don’t want to hurt them…please, my wife…” Morbius suddenly thought of his deceased wife as he prayed not to hurt them physically.
"You don't have to shout at us." the young boy honestly said making Morbius's heart start aching from the sight of their cries.
"Attention and love are enough." the young girl wiped her tears and Morbius gritted his teeth. He hates when the twins cry because of him.
"I can't give you that...just go..." Morbius looked away and ushered the twins to leave his chamber. They went on running while crying.
"...I’m sorry...I’m still lost after your mother died…" he sadly muttered as he watched the kids run away from him.
Meanwhile, Natasha was rolling and tossing around the bed after being reminded by the family vampire doctor not to be stressed out and just rest but she couldn’t. She sighed heavily before she got off the bed and started doing some exercises but she was still getting bored.
"I need books...and tea perhaps..." Natasha groaned and looked around the room but there was nothing to read or even to do in her room.
"Am I a prisoner here as well?" she wondered and decided to check if the door was locked. Surprisingly, it wasn't.
"That's...odd?" she was confused about how they left her unguarded.
"Did he tell them that we're mates? Well, I don't think so...he's cold and intimidating..." she kept mumbling and was about to get out of the room when two light but rush footsteps caught her attention and halted.
Two young kids around ten passed her causing Natasha's heart to feel a pang that she had never felt to anyone before. The pain was something new to her and when she looked over where they came from, a glimpse of sorrow reflected from Morbius's face before he closed the door of his chamber.
"So, he could express something like that, huh..." Natasha thought but then she was worried about the kids crying reaction as they ran away from Morbius.
"What did you do to them to make them cry like that, my dear mate?" she got curious but she slapped her face to snap her from thinking about it and decided to check around the castle.
Time skipped from days to weeks to months and to years and yet nothing seemed to change. The sky was clear and serene even the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte was indeed filled with peace after some annoyance and rebuilding of the land. But among the peacefulness, the local farmers finally found their other half and built their own families yet, still busy doing what had been assigned to them by their lady and master. Speaking of their lady and master, something seems to switch as soon as their youngest hits five. "MORBIUS, OFFICE NOW!!!" Natasha's fuming voice began to echo throughout the entire land alarming everyone especially her husband, Morbius. Ever since the youngest turned five years old, Morbius started doing more outside field work than usual. He trained with the newbies and youngsters including their
Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain make noise outside the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte land. There was a newly built barn house next to the hilltop castle where faint groans echoed as if there was a sick animal around. But like the old burned ones, there was a secret trap door leading to a basement filled with dust and rust, smoke, and blood from a captive creature. "KILL ME NOW!" A very loud scream echoed throughout the entire basement. But it was followed by a sarcastic laugh that echoed well throughout the walls of the basement. The lights around the space were flickering and the wall was filled with stains of random bloods of animals or traitors. The sounds of groans and moving chains were making the creepy space more eerie like a haunted space. But the further it went, a tormenting conversation began to
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and yet, Natasha was not speaking terms with everyone. She rarely went out of the room without Morbius beside her. She walked like a hungry zombie whenever she walked alone in the hall of the castle. Everyone was a bit skeptical but when they learned about her being pregnant, they were trying to be understanding. She just has a different way of having a baby. "Wifey, I heard from Rean that you and our baby are doing great." Morbius was drying his hair after a very long day of work throughout the entire land. He was used to it before but when Natasha came, his hard work suddenly got lightened. But not for a couple of months. Natasha just watched Morbius carefully while wearing decent night clothing. She wanted to speak to him but due to her weird pregnancy, she lost her voice like it
It's almost a month already since they handled Lupo's situation on their hands. Everything seemed to move freely once again and peacefully but behind the wall of the castle, everyone was trying to be happy and move forward yet, not that well. "I hope Lady Nat is okay now..." one of the servants hoped for the better well-being of their lady. "She'll be...Master is there to help her this time." another one commented while cleaning up inside the kitchen. "Hope so." Another servant agreed with a hopeful sigh. Everyone was worried about their lady's well-being ever since Morbius managed to put Natasha to sleep, she hadn't woke up for three weeks already. It was almost four weeks and there was no sign of waking up and it was worrying Morbius.
As anger was taking its toll on Natasha, she was not a doctor that everyone knew about. She began to be a merciless alpha who overly protected her pack and the land that she owned alongside her mate. Lupo wasn't exempted from her wrath. Nobody does. "This is for my lost pack and for killing my mother, Thalia." She gave two tormenting lightning strikes from the sky making Lupo howl in pain. "And this one for endangering and manipulating the innocent desire of every creature you crossed with." She was growling deeper and full of hatred. She even gave her enormous punch causing Lupo to stumble like a bouncing ball on the earthly ground before crashing and smashing two old pine trees around the training field. Natasha was empty and cold yet the heat from her anger was releasing her
The night just unfolds the strongest storm that ever hit the land of El Mezannotte. The rain was even falling heavy and the wind furiously made everything not just sway but dancing wild as if it was ripping the greenery around the woods. Even the thunder was clapping furiously and the lightning didn't stop from slicing the sky in anger. It was indeed a furious typhoon. 'MASTER, THEY WERE PRESSING ON.' 'The flames around the perimeter were now gone.' In annoyance, Morbius clicked his tongue when he heard the report from his men over the castle's perimeter. He glanced over at his beloved who kept fighting with her bear fist against Lupo. 'GO! I'll handle him.' "Please be sa
