The rays of sunlight hit my face warmly I slowly started opening my eyes, I shifted beneath sheets I didn’t recognize I looked at the sheets there were bviously expensive.The fabric was so smooth against my skin too smooth, too luxurious.

I have never seen this sheets before, and that was when it hit me.....bare skin.

Wait....

My eyes flew open and I started looking around the room, the room was dimly lit, but the rising sun still managed to shine through the half drawn blackout curtains,The room was well furnished mostly with leather, the room smelled like wood and leather… and a strong scent of musk.

The strong scent of musk was making me feel a bit dizzy, I looked down at the black sheets again confused before my eyes landed on him.

Maddox Kane.

The man I had sworn to destroy was laying beside me in the massive bed, his bare arm flung lazily across his chest, his head tilted just slightly toward me, lips slightly parted in slow, even breaths, even while sleeping he still had that dangerous aura that surrounded him.

My eyes widened when it landed on his naked bod,...he was naked, completely naked.

My heart slammed hard against my ribs , I couldn't breath, my head suddenly feels heavy, my entire body went still as if any movement would wake the monster lying next to me.

I quickly pushed myself up, my head was throbbing and my throat burned like I had swallowed sandpaper, and my mouth… my mouth tasted like whiskey.

The sheets slipped down, I looked down and my breath caught in my throat, And suddenly it feels like the world is spinning.

No no, no, no.

I was also naked, completely naked, I was naked and lying next to maddox kane who also happens to be naked....

“Shit,” I whispered under my breath, clenching my hands into a fist.

Suddenly the memories of what happened last night came rushing back...the bar the taste of whiskey on my tongue. When suddenly his voice came low and dangerous, the way he wrapped his hand around my waist like it owned me.

Then...then his lips where on mine.

I slapped my hand over my lips as if I could erase it. I could still feel heat of the kiss there, I couldn't remember anything that happened after the kiss, I don't remember what happened next.... I don't remember how I end up here in an unknown room with my enemy lying naked beside me.

Why did I even go to that bar? I thought a couple of drinks will make me forget my problems, I thought I would just drink away the pain, I didn't thought it will add to them, I have already lost everything. Now this.

I placed my hand on my head as if it could stop the pain, I knew I had to get out of here before he wakes up, cause if he wakes up... No no he won't wake up... He can't wake up.

I quickly scanned the room looking for my clothes.

I spotted them on the ground right next to the door, I released a sigh of relief, and slowly moved about to get down from the bed when maddox moved a bit, he released a deep lazy groan and every muscle in my body froze.

Please don’t wake up, please don’t wake up. Please don't wake....

His Eyes fluttered opened looking directly into mine “Morning counselor,” he purred his voice hoarse, rough and laced with smugness “slept well?” he questioned completely turning his body to face me.

I immediately looked away, my breath hitching “I...I...We didn’t…” My voice broke halfway, I don't even want to imagine it talk less of saying it out loud.

“Oh, we did counselor.” I didn't need to look at him to know he is smirking, but I did, I looked at him angrily, he slowly stretched, like a predator who was not in a hurry to chase down its prey cause the prey was right in front of it, my eyes landed on his chest, he had a lot of tattoos, and scars of gunshots and cuts mostly the tattoos were on the scars.

“You were too loud though,” he said casually like we were talking about the weather “And surprisingly flexible.” he said his lips curving to a smirk.

“You jerk.” I spat out, yanking the sheet up to my chin like it could protect me from him or it could completely erase what happened.

“You weren’t saying that when you were screaming out my name” He rolled onto his side, his hand brushing the mattress too close to my thigh I flinched shifting back a little, his grin widened “Or when you begged me not to stop.”

My stomach twisted so violently I thought I might be sick, I swallowed hard “I was drunk.”

“Not that drunk counselor ” His voice was smooth but sharp enough to cut, His eyes slowly dragged over my body.. like he was savoring the memory. “You knew exactly what you were doing.” he whispered.

His mouth curved in something darker than a smile “And damn, sweetheart…” He whispered slightly leaning in, his voice sending chill down my spine. “You did it so fucking well.” he murmured.

I wanted to scream at him,I wanted to shove him away, grab my clothes, and run until I couldn’t breathe.

But my traitorous body refused to move, I can't even think straight.

All I could do was sit there, naked, humiliated, with my heart hammering itself against my ribs as the full, cold weight of the night crashed down on me.

I still can't believe all this happened to me in a day, in a day I lost everything, I lost my career, my reputation, and my not so perfect life, now everything its completely ruined, I wished all this is a dream, I wish my mom will just shake me awake, then I will tell her all about this nightmare, she will comfort and advise me then everything will go back to normal.

I would get ready and go for work, win some cases, read some books, chat with my colleagues then back home again.

But no, this isn't a nightmare its the reality.. Just that my life has turned into a nightmare.

And now…

Now, I had given the one man who had ruined me exactly what he wanted.
