Chapter 3

Sienna cross

The first shot of whiskey burned, the second completely numbed me, and the third....the third made me forget how to care.

I wasn’t even sure how I ended up at the Pit, it was some biker bar on the edge of the city, as I walked in the lights were flickering and there was something sticky on the floor, only God knows what it is..... I knows I shouldn't be here...but something about the neon lights and noise matched the chaos in my head.

when I was about to enter the bar, the guards didn't even ask for my ID, they just looked at me up and down, although I was wearing a suit, it was a mess, the tie was loosed, the sleeves were rolled up, some buttons of the shirt were opened.

They allowed me inside after that, I walked straight to the bartender a lady who seemed to be in her early twenties, she just looked at my smeared lipstick and tear streaked cheeks… and poured.

“Rough night?” she asked looking down at my shirt, I laughed It sounded hollow “I lost everything in less than ten hours,” I said. “So yeah, you could say that.”

She nodded like she has heard that a lot in this place, I took in seat and ordered my drink, she was fast she delivered in less than a minute....I stared at the glass in front of me, trying to forget everything, I just want to forget it all but every time I blinked, I saw the verdict again....not guilty. The smirk on his face as he looked at me and that fucking wink.

God, I hate him,I hate his confidence, I hate how he looked at me,I hated that I could still feel the way his eyes pinning me down across that courtroom, Gosh I hate everything about him.

That bastard is the cause of all this, he committed a crime and am the one paying for it, I just wanted justice to be served, I just wanted justice for all those innocent people....

“Didn’t expect to see you here, Counselor.”

My body froze.. that voice, that low, lazy drawl filled with amusement and danger I would recognize that voice among millions...

I didn’t have to turn around to know it was him, but either way I did, I Slowly turned around my eyes filled with venom and anger.

Maddox Kane stood behind me, he was towering over looking at me with predatory eyes he was dressed in a black Henley that hugged his inked arms and jeans that sat low on his hips, my eyes landed on his sharp jaw that made him look more dangerous and intimidating then up to his lip that was curled into a delightful smirk.

I swallowed hard looking directly into his dark, intimidating eyes. “seriously, why are you here.. Wait you stalking me?”

“This is my bar counselor ” he said, sitting on the stool beside me. “that means you are the stalker.”

I shrugged and continued drinking “I wasn't stalking you...I didn’t come here for you, I didn't even know this bar belongs to you.”

“oh really?” He muttered leaning closer to me, his lips brushing the tip of my ear.. I flinched at the sudden contact before I leaned back . “Then how did you end up exactly where you would find me?”

I rolled my eyes annoyed “Don’t flatter yourself maddox kane” i continued drinking not even sure how I feel anymore, Right now all I want to do is drink and drink till I completely forget all those problems.

“Oh, sweetheart,” he purred, “flattery doesn’t suit me I am more of a… full contact kind of guy.”

I turned immediately meeting his gaze, i pointed my finger to his chest. “You ruined my career you fucking made a joke out of me.”my head was already beginning to hurt from the loud music and looking at his face.

He smirked leaning closer “I didn’t need to do that counselor, you made a joke out if yourself, you came into that courtroom thinking you could send me to jail, and that... That was your first mistake.”

I laughed bitterly “And what this is fun for you? Watching me fall apart?” I questioned angrily, I don't even know why I am talking to him, I should have landed a hard slap on his face when he walked up to me, but thankfully I didn't do that... I already have enough cases on me, I don't need more.

“No” he said his voice low and dark. “Owning the woman who tried to put me in a cage? That's what will be fun”

My throat dried as my heart started pounding against my chest.

“You are disgusting” I said before I gobbled down the entire drink, it numbed me but I didn't really care anymore, the more I drink the more I forget it all.

“And yet…” He reached out and slowly brushed my hair off my shoulder “You are still sitting here still drinking and still letting me touch you”

I slapped his hand away,.breathing fast “Go to hell.”

“too bad,” he murmured leaning closer to me, his lips inches from mine. “I have already been, and sweetheart… you are standing at the fucking gates.”

I should have left, I Should have thrown the drink to his face and run away, I can deny doing.

But I didn’t, because there was a twisted part of me that wanted to continue sitting here and continue drinking.

He wasn't even making an attempt to move, talk less of leaving so I decided to just ignore him, I tapped on the table turning the bartenders attention to me.

She walked to where I was seated and poured me another drink before she greeted maddox, again I gobbled down the drink and ordered another one.

The last drink I took blurred my vision and suddenly everything was turning black

The last thing I remember was asking the bartender were the exit was, she showed me a door that had a sign "back door"I could hear footsteps behind me as I exited using the back door.

I remember a hand wrapping around my waist, guiding me through a door named private. The owner of the hand pressed me against a wall, his breath hot against my neck, and that was when I saw who he was....Maddox kane.

But instead of pushing him away I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"You came for justice, Sienna. But what you really needed… was someone to ruin you right?” he questioned.

"Then get to it already.” I whispered in his ears.
