Amelia's POV

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing, shattering the peaceful stillness of the morning. Groggily, I reached for it, squinting at the bright screen. It was Ethan calling, and something in his voice told me that this wasn't a casual morning chat.

"Amelia, we need to meet," Ethan said urgently, his voice tinged with concern. "It's important."

I could sense the gravity of the situation in his words. "What's going on, Ethan?" I asked, my heart beginning to race.

"I can't explain over the phone," he replied. "Meet me at our secret spot in the park, the one near the old oak tree. We need to talk privately."

I hurriedly got dressed, my mind racing with possibilities. As I made my way to the park, I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Every shadow seemed to hold a hidden threat, and paranoia crept up my spine like icy fingers.
