The news of Elena's mom shocked Amanda and Bridget. Digesting this new information was quite unsettling for both girls.
“Sharon? What does she want this time, doesn’t she like, have a new family now?” Amanda asked infuriated.
“Yes she does. Do you remember what happen the last time she came?” she asked, checking if they could still recall the event that transpired when Sharon last visited.
“Huh, yeah that should be three years ago.” Bridget replied, vaguely remembering what actually happened. Scratching her forehead gently, she said “She came by to return all the photos she had of you which was wired because every mother should want to keep something of their child as a memento."

*******Amanda was so furious, she felt the urge to go over there and confront Bridget. “She knows how I feel about him, how could she do this to me?" she wondered sorely "What could she be doing with him and why will he ask me to meet him here?” Not caring about the answers to her painful questions, she was most interested in their discussion even with the thought of what she would hear might hurt her, she still didn’t care. Amanda gently and quietly took few steps backward and then finally made her way behind the burger truck. She made sure she could clearly hear them as she squat down, resting her back on the truck.

*******The girls rushed into the theater, it was almost empty the receptionist had said the show ended two hours ago but Amanda asked if she saw any teenage boy standing alone probably waiting for someone. "How could she have?" Amanda thought. "This is a theatre. Of course there could be a million people, including teenagers standing and waiting for someone." “Not exactly," Amanda leaped in hope hearing the lady's voice "But there was one teenage boy pacing back and forth the lobby. If that was the boy you wanted to see, you just missed him. He just left few seconds ago with an older guy, who looked like his elder brother, I presumed. Although she had convinced herself that he wasn't real but, anytime she goes over his letter, some part of her still believed he was. Sharon felt she was splurging her precious time on her ex husband. Derek was never going to comply. She had come to realize, even then, she still had to try knowing Elena was his only weakness. Sharon was so angry that she attempted to leave when an elderly man approached them, forcing her to land back on her seat. He was dressed in a black suit and his gray tie tugged firmly around his neck.All the years Sharon spent married to Derek, she had known he had many tricks up his sleeves. This time, she was curious on what new trick he would display. But, seeing this elderly, cooperate dressed man holding a suitcase, she said to herself "So, he's eventually going to give in." **********Margret helped Elena set the table for dinner. Arranging each delicacy accordingly on the long, rectangular, glass dining table. It was indeed the best moment to celebrate. Elena was very happy with the news her dad came back with, she couldn’t imagine how her life would be like leaving with Sharon. To her, Sharon was her mother by nature and not by heart and she was replaceable. “Margret, can you finish this up while I go get ready?” Elena asked politely. “Yes ma’am. ************That day tagged graduation was finally here, holding so many mixed feelings in the air. Although many of them would miss their days in high school, as many couldn't wait to leave, they still all could not avoid the feeling of facing the new phase of their lives. For Amanda, her story had only just begun. She may not have found her secret admirer to feed her curiosity but, she believed that she had time on her side or so she thought. High school was just a phase of her life, looking forward to better days ahead.
