Chapter 11: Lucian's Offer

JADE'S POV:

I cleaned my tears and followed him to avoid being attacked by a rogue again.

It took almost thirty minutes for me to find my way out of the woods.

I saw a car ahead and I presumed it was his. I got into the car without even seeing the face of the person inside the car.

But the scent of the car wasn't the same. I turned to see a different person entirely.

“Lucian?”. I exclaimed as I saw whose car I'd gotten into.

“Long time, little doll”. He smirked at me and at the same time chuckled.

“What are you doing here?” I asked with shock still displayed on my face.

“I should be asking you, what are you doing inside the woods at this hour? It's dangerous, you know”. His facial expression showed that he was concerned for me.

“I got lost in the woods”.

He laughed out loud at me. I was so embarrassed.

“Who gets lost in the woods? You are always magneting trouble and danger”.

“I should go, my family is waiting for me”. I replied timidly.
