JADE’S POV

I stood in my spiritual space, the air fresh now, the grass alive and green after my blood had restored it.

The little dragon sat beside me, its silver eyes glowing with warmth. In front of us, the old chest waited. The barrier that had once blocked me was gone. My hands shook as I reached forward and lifted the lid.

Inside, wrapped in dark cloth, was the spell book. My heart raced.

“I finally found it,” I whispered.

Lotus’s voice hummed in my head. “Yes, Jade. Open it. The book belongs to you.”

I unwrapped it slowly. The cover was black leather, heavy, carved with strange markings. The moment my fingers touched it, warmth spread through my whole body.

I whispered, “It feels alive.”

“Because it is bound to your soul,” Lotus said. “Go through it. Find what you need most.”

I turned the pages. Each one was covered in ancient letters, glowing faintly. Some words shifted like they were moving. My eyes darted over spell after spell until one line made me stop.

JADE’S POV:The air around me was gray, empty. The ground was dry and cracked. No sound of water, no breeze, no life.I turned in a circle, whispering, “This… this is my spiritual space?” Lotus’s voice came softly. “Yes, Jade.”My chest ached. “It looks so… dead.”“Because you have not merged with your dragon spirit yet,” Lotus explained. “And because you have never watered it. A soul that is not fed with power will always look lifeless.”I hugged my arms, shivering. “So I need to fix it?”“Yes. But first, find the book. That is why you are here.”I nodded quickly. “Right. The book.”I walked forward. My feet crunched on dry ground. Even the leaves had withered. The trees were no longer alive. Only silence. I whispered, “It feels like a graveyard.”Lotus didn’t answer, but I felt her sadness inside me.After a long walk, I stopped. My heart beat faster. There, at the far end of the space, stood a stone platform. On it rested a small chest, dark and heavy-looking. My eyes widened.“Th

JADE’S POV:The night was quiet. Everyone was asleep in the villa, but I lay awake, staring at the ceiling. My chest felt heavy, my mind was also not at rest.“Lotus,” I whispered. “Are you there?”Her gentle voice answered inside me. “I am here, Jade.”I sat up quickly. “You told me before that I can remember everything… if I find the spell book. Where do I begin?”“There is a place you must go,” Lotus said. “The Mirror of the Mist. Only there can you see the truth of where the book lies.”I frowned. “But how do I leave the villa? Everyone will notice.”Her voice was calm. “No one will see you. I will make you disappear without a trace. Trust me.”I hesitated, while glancing at the door. “And Kieran? Should I tell him?”Lotus’s tone grew firm. “Not now. If you tell him, Alvina and Hardin will know. This must remain a secret. Come, Jade. It is time.”Before I could argue, light surrounded me. My body felt weightless.“Ah!” I gasped as the room vanished. The next second, I was standing

KIERAN’S POVI slammed the door of my chamber behind me after I left the garden. I almost laughed out loud watching Alvina believe the act that me and Jade created. I will definitely save you sister.. I have my plans in motion already. Melanie won't know what hit her. As for Hardin, I am aware that he has been working with Melanie secretly but I know the reason for it. I sensed a familiar scent and looked towards where the scent was coming from.Someone was sitting on my bed.Pearl.She leaned back against the pillows, her silk gown slipping low, almost baring everything. Her golden hair spilled over her shoulders. Her lips curved in a smug smile.“You look tense, Kieran,” she said sweetly. “Come, I can ease your pain.”My blood boiled.Dark energy whipped around me in an instant. My shadow chains shot forward, wrapping tight around her throat. Her eyes widened as she choked.“You dare sit on my bed?” I roared. “You dare show yourself here after what you tried to do?”She clawed a

JADE’S POVI sat in front of my mirror, wiping away the last of my tears. My heart was calmer now because Lotus showed me the truth. But suddenly, I heard footsteps outside. My chest tightened. Kieran…The door opened and Kieran walked in quickly. His dark eyes searched for me.“Jade,” he said, his voice breaking. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere.”I wanted to run into his arms, but then I felt it—that strange chill in the air. Someone was watching. I remembered Lotus’s warning. Alvina could be close. So I forced my face into a frown. “Why are you here?” I snapped.Kieran froze. “I… I came to explain. What you saw, it wasn’t what you thought.”I crossed my arms, trying to look cold. “I don’t want to hear your excuses.”“Jade, please,” he said, stepping closer. “Pearl—she tried to touch me. I pushed her away.”My heart leapt, but I kept my mask on. “Enough, Kieran. Leave my room.”His jaw tightened. “You don’t mean that.”“I do,” I whispered sharply. “Leave.”Silence stretched bet

After everything?Suddenly, a hand caught mine.“Ah!” I gasped, trying to scream. But in a flash, the world spun. The villa walls disappeared. Darkness surrounded me.When I blinked, we stood in a quiet grove.A tall figure appeared in my view, this guy should be Hardin.Kieran once told me about him when we were alone.Hardin’s golden eyes stared into mine. His hand still clutched my wrist. His other hand covered my mouth.“Shh,” he whispered. “Don’t scream. If I hadn’t taken you, Kieran would’ve caught you.”I pushed his hand away, gasping for air. “What are you doing? Why did you take me?”Hardin smirked. “Saving you from more pain.”Before I could reply, another figure appeared from the shadows.“Jade,” Alvina’s voice called.I froze. “Alvina…?”She stepped forward, her face calm, but her eyes sharp. “I told you,
