Chapter 96: The Oath

LUCIAN'S POV:

I opened the book to take a look at it and I found all the pages all blank.

“Why would you give me a blank book?” I called Jake to ask him.

“I was expecting you to open it when I gave it to you but you didn't, so how is that my fault?". Jake replied rudely.

"You've got some nerves, Jake. What's in this book?". I asked, my patient running thin.

"I think it's best if you come back for us to have a proper talk about the book”.

Jake has never talked to me this way before. He is always careful not to offend me, now he talks to me like he is the boss?

I drove back to the restaurant to meet him again. When I arrived, I gave him the peace of my mind.

I lifted him up by the neck and suspended him in the air. What surprised me was that he wasn't even fighting back.

I threw him with force to the ground. He smirked at me, then stood up and sat down like I haven't done that to him.

“Are you done venting your anger?". He asked me.
