Kira's POV.

My eyes widened in shock as I stared at the magnificent wolf in front of me, "Our mate is a wolf Kira, can you believe this, he's a fucking werewolf!"

Morana pounced excitedly in me but I was too mad to acknowledge her, too mad and surprised at the same time, her constant shrill voice in my head made me cuss, " Shut your trashy mouth Mo, I can clearly see he's a damn werewolf, do you have to scream my head down?!" I fired angrily, hot unwanted tears leaving my eyes and I wish I knew why those tears were falling from my eyes.

The huge wolf before me stood tall, powerful, with sleek black fur that shimmered under the dim light. His piercing red eyes locked onto mine, and for a moment, the room seemed to shrink around us. It was Ashton. My supposed human bodyguard. My…mate.

Morana let out a gleeful howl in my mind. "Our mate is perfect! Look at him! So strong, so..."

“SHUT UP!” I screamed aloud, cutting her off. The sound echoed in the room, but Ashton didn’t flinch. He st

Kira's POV. "Pouring your anger on a poor dummy wouldn't change the fact that our mate is out there, doing goddess knows what, we don't even know where he is, you hurt him Kira, you really hurt him and I'll not forgive you if anything happens to him!" Morana growled angrily at me and I punched the dummy harder, I needed to unwind."He's gonna be fine, he's a damn werewolf, nothing will happen to him, besides, he's his own man, just like I'm my own woman, stop annoying me!""You're so frustrating, Kira," Morana hissed. "He’s not just a werewolf...he’s our mate! Do you even understand what that means? It’s not just about you, it’s about us!"I rolled my eyes, punching the dummy with even more force. "I’m not having this conversation with you. Not now, not ever. He’s fine, Morana. Probably out there plotting his next move or finding someone else to annoy."Morana growled in frustration, her energy pulsing within me like an uncontrollable storm. "You’re heartless! You know he’s hurting,

Kira's POV. I searched the weapon room for some of my weapons, I have no idea where I had kept them last, "Will you act fast, our mate is in danger!" Morana screamed angrily and I just sighed, I was confused and didn't even know what to do. Suddenly, the door swung open, "we're ready ma'am, we're waiting for you." Jonas informed me but I just nodded."Where are my favorite daggers and guns?"Jonas raised an eyebrow, his expression a mix of urgency and confusion. “You left them in the training room last week, ma’am. I’ll have someone fetch them if you’d like.”I let out a frustrated huff, my patience thinning. “Forget it. I’ll find them myself.” I brushed past Jonas, my focus solely on preparing for the mission.Morana was a storm in my mind, her growls and snarls relentless. “He doesn’t have time for your disorganization, Kira. Move faster!”“I’m moving, Morana! Stop pushing me!” I snapped back internally, clenching my fists as I stormed into the training room. There they were...my

Kira's POV."Can I tear them apart?" Kira pounced excitedly and there was anger in her too. "Calm down my love." I chuckled and began to move forward, my sword gleaming, halting, I looked at the men with weapons pointed at me and sigh softly."You idiots never learn not to mess with me, how many more examples do I have to make? How many will I have to kill?!" The men hesitated, their guns trembling slightly as they aimed at me. I could see the uncertainty in their eyes, the flicker of fear that even their bravado couldn’t mask. I took another step forward, dragging my sword along the ground, the sharp sound grating against the silence of the room."Drop your weapons," I ordered, my voice cold and commanding. "Unless you want to join the corpses outside."One of them sneered, his confidence faltering. "You're just one woman," he said, but his voice wavered. "We outnumber you."I let out a low, humorless laugh. "And yet, you're shaking." I pointed the bloodied tip of my sword at him.

Kira's POV. "Open the damn door or I'll break it down!" Ashton threatened as he banged at my door and I let out a loud sigh."I've told you Ashton, I don't want to talk to you, for goodness sake, I'm busy, go away, do something... Anything but being with me." I shouted, trying hard to keep my temper in check but he was making it so difficult, I don't want to talk to him but he won't have that. "I know you're mad at me for allowing myself to get taken like that but look on the brighter side mate, we're together, allowing me close to you, what are you so afraid of? Scared of loving me?"I rolled my eyes so hard it hurt. “Scared of loving you? Ashton, don’t flatter yourself. I’m not mad, I’m just busy, and frankly, you’re getting on my nerves.”The banging stopped momentarily, and for a second, I thought he’d finally listened and left. But then his voice came again, quieter but no less persistent. “You’re lying, Kira. You’re always pushing me away, but it’s not because you’re busy. You

Kira's POV. "Happy birthday my darlings." I mumbled, hugging the picture of my children tightly. My heart was heavy because with their growth in years, so do their powers, the blood moon is just few months away and I can't even touch the Triplet, I've tried all I could to get them but I failed miserably and the last time they kidnapped me shows just how weak I am. I don't know what to do... I feel so lost and... I don't like this. "You can ask Ashton for help, he's hiding his powers but if he joined forces with you, you'll have a chance against those monsters." Mo suggested and I just sighed, trying to think of other ways. "I don't want to involve him in such a deadly game, he might get hurt, I just need one weakness on their part and I'll work on it, let's hope the private investigator bring something useful this time around." I mumbled, checking the clock on my office desk, "he should be here any minute." "He won't get anything, it’s going to be the same old disappointment, Kir

Kira’s POV I paced my vast room, my whole body tensed as I waited for some news. I need good news, I've heard enough of bad news. "Good news," Jonas said, striding into the room, a triumphant gleam in his eye. "The spies you and Lord Ashton planted are working. We’ve intercepted some intel...seems the triplets are arguing among themselves. Your plan is destabilizing them.” My breath caught for a moment. “The spies…” I murmured, recalling Ashton’s insistence on planting two weeks ago. I hadn’t believed it would work. “What are they arguing about?” Jonas hesitated. “We’re still gathering details, but it’s clear they don’t fully trust each other anymore. The cracks are forming.” A flicker of hope ignited in my chest. I nodded, dismissing Jonas with a wave of my hand, and he left me to my thoughts. "You see, together with Ashton, you achieved something you haven't been able to achieve, only if you'll trust him fully." Mo said and I just shrugged and dropped on my bed. She's right an

Author's POV. "That bitch! She's ruining everything, if those stupid rumors she's spreading keeps up, we'll lose a lot of allies, they think we'll betray them because we sold off our Luna, dammit!" Nicholas snarled angrily, flinging the tablet which shattered everywhere. "Calm your horses, they're just rumors, I don't know what Kira hopes to achieve with it but in the next few months, we won't be needing allies, we'll be immortals, we'll be like gods and everyone would bow to us, so I see no reason you should worry about mere rumors." Christopher, the ever calm one stated, his gaze firmly on the women magazine he was reading. He knew already that Kira wouldn't be able to do anything to them, her rumors about how they betray her, sold her off and some deep dirty deeds they've done in the past have surfed the internet and she wasn't stopping, he was mad and so were his brothers but there was nothing any of them can do, Kira can't be killed, they've tried many times and failed so they

Nicholas’s POVThe heavy scent of incense filled the air as I stepped into the lavish apartment. The walls were adorned with ancient tapestries depicting wolves, battles, and celestial bodies. The Shermans had made themselves at home, their presence a mix of eerie calm and unshakable authority. The elder Sherman, a gaunt man with silver hair and eyes like molten gold, sat cross-legged on an intricately woven rug. Beside him was his sister, a woman shrouded in black, her pale hands resting on a massive tome that radiated an unsettling energy.“Alpha Nicholas,” the elder greeted, his voice a deep rumble that seemed to vibrate through my chest. “You’ve come seeking answers, and perhaps...salvation?”I hesitated, my jaw tightening. “Kira. She’s growing stronger. Every attempt we’ve made to weaken her has failed. I need to know how to stop her.”The sister smiled faintly, her voice a melodic whisper. “Kira, your ex mate is not just strong, she is becoming...unstoppable. With each passing d

  • The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!   Chapter 137: Trust and Claws… Bound and Owned

Kira’s POV“And you trust him enough to tutor Trisha?” Ashton asked, voice calm, too calm, the kind of calm he used right before someone got mauled.I didn’t flinch. I knew that tone, knew him.He was pissed. But trying to be polite about it.I leaned back in the armchair, swirling the champagne in my glass lazily before taking a sip. “Yeah, I trust him. Enough, at least.”Ashton’s jaw flexed. His eyes hadn’t left me once since I’d finished explaining everything. The kidnapping. The rescue. The healing. The werewolf reveal. And finally… the part where I decided to make the walking mystery our daughter’s personal tutor.“I’ve run every kind of scan on him,” I added, keeping my tone light. “Magical, physical, blood lineage, you name it. He passed them all. Even his memories were clean. No ties to the brothers. No curses. No shady backdoor deals with witches or warlocks. Just a regular lone wolf trying to live a boring life teaching about ancient wars.”Ashton didn’t blink.I pressed on.

Kira’s POV"Well, he's telling the truth, ma’am," Jonas reported, his voice crisp as he tucked the clipboard under his arm and stepped back. “His ID checks out. Staff records confirm he’s been here for years. No known criminal affiliations. And… Yes, he’s a werewolf, but he’s registered under the neutral pack treaty. Low threat level.”I exhaled through my nose, glaring at the man slumped on the infirmary bed like he personally offended me by existing. My jaw ticked as I crossed my arms, hating the way he just laid there...alive, breathing, and smugly intact despite nearly bleeding out an hour ago.Alex glanced over at me with a faint grimace, one side of his mouth twitching in what might’ve been a sarcastic smile if he wasn’t half-dead. “You always treat your heroes like this, or am I just the lucky one?”I narrowed my eyes. “You’re not a hero. You’re a man I badly want to kill.”Jonas looked like he wanted to evaporate from the tension in the room, but I waved him off. He gave me a

Kira’s POVI checked my wristwatch for what had to be the fiftieth time in the last ten minutes.Any second now.Trisha would come bursting through those classroom doors, ponytail bouncing, cheeks flushed, her little feet thumping excitedly against the polished floors. She’d scream “Mommy!” like we hadn’t seen each other in years, threw herself into my arms, and talked a mile a minute about every crayon, cupcake, and classmate she encountered.I missed her.A lot."You're just being silly," Morana grumbled in my head. "It’s barely been four hours since she left. Stop being stupid."I smirked. “You miss her too.”"I do not."“You cried last night when she hugged us goodnight.”"I sneezed. Shut up."I chuckled softly, arms crossed as I leaned against the school’s outer wall, blending in with the other parents.Well, not entirely. Most of them wore business suits or yoga pants. I wore a black leather jacket over a pastel-pink sundress (thanks, Trisha), and combat boots. One mom looked at

Kira’s POV“Where are those bloody rascals?” I snarled, my voice sharp and cold as I shoved open the reinforced door to Ashton’s office. It slammed against the wall with a satisfying bang.Ashton didn’t even flinch. He was leaning against his desk, arms crossed, like he’d been expecting this exact explosion.Probably had.“Three attacks,” I hissed. “Three. On her first day. If you think I’m going to sit here and let this slide, Ashton.. ”“You’re going to kill them, aren’t you?” he asked, calm as ever.I grinned. “Why the fuck wouldn’t I?”Because really, what kind of idiot tries to attack my daughter, inside a warded, high-security school, within hours of her arrival? The kind who doesn’t value their life. That’s who.“They were intercepted before they got close,” Ashton said, pushing off the desk. “She doesn’t know anything happened. The guards did their job.”“I don’t care,” I snapped. “She shouldn’t have been a target to begin with.”His gaze met mine, serious now. “You knew this

(Few Weeks Later)Kira’s POV“School?” I repeated, blinking as I stared at Ashton across the kitchen table. He nodded casually, sliding my favorite coffee mug toward me like he wasn’t currently suggesting one of the biggest, scariest decisions of my life.“Yes,” he said. “I’ve done all the necessary arrangements. All that’s left now is your approval, and she’ll be in school by next week.”I curled my fingers around the warm mug but didn’t lift it.Instead, I just stared at the swirling steam like it held the answers."I don’t know, Ashton," I muttered, my voice low. "Trisha going to school with all these dangers hovering around… I’m scared. I was thinking of home-schooling her."He leaned forward, his voice soft but firm. “I know you’re scared. I am too. But she needs more than just protection. She needs normal.”I scoffed. “There’s nothing normal about our lives.”“She’s not just your daughter, Kira. She’s a child. She deserves to experience childhood.”I flinched.Damn him.He alway

Kira's POV"You need to stop already, do you want to kill yourself?!" Ashton’s voice rang out, laced with a mix of concern and frustration as he jogged to match my pace, he was shirtless and sweaty but still managed to look annoyingly cute.I didn’t break stride. My legs were burning, my lungs on fire, but it didn’t matter. The rhythm of my feet hitting the ground, the pounding of my heart, the rush of wind in my face, it helped drown out the thoughts. After I put Trisha to sleep, I couldn’t shut my brain off. It kept replaying the damn attack over and over, the way I’d felt when those wolves came charging at us, and how close I’d been to losing her. The thought of her in danger... It made me sick to my stomach.I had to run. I had to burn it out of me.But no matter how much I ran, no matter how much I pushed myself, the thoughts never stopped."Stop being a stubborn idiot and listen to me!" Ashton continued, his footsteps falling in sync with mine as we circled the field. "You're no

Kira’s POV“Hurry it up, girl! You’re delaying us!” Ashton’s voice boomed from outside my door, full of playful irritation and absolutely no sense of personal space.I stood in front of the mirror, scowling at my reflection like it had personally offended me.Because, honestly? It had.The dress I was wearing was pastel pink.Pastel. Pink.It had tiny floral embroidery, soft frills around the hem, and a stupid little ribbon around the waist.I looked like I was about to star in a cupcake commercial.“You look beautiful,” Morana cooed in my head, annoyingly smug. “And less dangerous. Be happy Ash got you a similar gown with Trisha.”I bit the inside of my cheek, hard.“Less dangerous?” I muttered under my breath. “I look like a demoted fairy godmother.”Morana laughed like this was the best thing that had happened all century. “Admit it. You don’t hate it.”“I hate it.”“You don’t.”“I do.”“You don’t.”I growled low and grabbed a leather belt, cinching it at my waist just to feel some

  • The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!   Chapter 130: Trisha’s Day Out

Kira’s POVThings have been going well...too well.So well, I’m starting to get nervous. It’s that quiet-before-the-storm kind of feeling that creeps in when you least expect it. The kind that whispers, "Brace yourself, it won’t last."But I refused to let that fear take over. Not today.Today was for Trisha.I pushed the thoughts aside and rolled out of bed, stripping off my shirt as I made my way to the bathroom. The cool air kissed my bare skin, goosebumps rising as I stepped onto the tiled floor.Today was Trisha’s day. Her rules. Her smiles. And I planned on making every second count.Even if her idea of “fun” meant subjecting myself to glitter slime, rainbow pancakes, and some god-awful children’s movie with way too many musical numbers. As the water turned hot, steam filled the room. I stepped under the showerhead and let the heat soak into my skin, muscles relaxing as I tilted my head back."She deserves this," I whispered to myself. "She deserves everything."“Ash is coming a

Kira’s POV "Morgan Lycan?" I repeated, my voice barely above a whisper. The words felt foreign, unreal, yet they echoed in my bones like they had always been a part of me. I narrowed my eyes at the old witch...though calling her "old" felt ridiculous. She looked no older than a teenager, her skin smooth, her features delicate and flawless. But I could feel the ancient energy pulsing from her. She had lived for centuries. And she knew things. Things about me. "Yes," the witch confirmed, folding her hands in front of her. "Your kind were believed to have gone extinct long ago. But... Well, it seems you survived what wiped out your entire clan. Which is strange because the force that eradicated them made sure no one was left alive." I exhaled sharply, my hands balling into fists. I was finally learning about my origins. I should be thrilled. I should feel something. But all I felt was...hollow. Like I had just opened a door to a past I wasn’t sure I wanted to wal
