Back in my room,I took the only thing valuable to me,a pendant, the last piece of item my mother left me.

As I walked across the pack territory, whispers from a far : some filled with pity others with pure curiosity of how the outcast would survive all alone.

''I never knew the Alpha would go to this extent.''

''For you own good, better keep your head down and your voice lower.''

Not even one person tried to stop me not like I expected it.

As I got closer to the pack ,the pack hag approached me,out of instinct,I increased my pace.

"Down the stream, two roads lie ahead ,follow the one on the left.''She said as she disappeared in the trees.

''What does that mean ? ''Isa popped the question.

''I wish I knew better,what do we do Isa ? ''

''Apart from discovering that your father is an asshole .I'm stuck .We better find shelter soon.''

As we got closer to the forest entrance, I could feel the trickle of water, probably the stream that separated our territories.I never got this far after the incident.

The river flowed peacefully, the ripples formed by the dragonflies trying to land on the water surface giving a calming effect. The moisture on my cheeks becoming a norm I should get accustomed to.

''What was that the old woman said ? '' came Isa.

''Down the stream, two roads lie ahead, follow the one on the left.''

''What If she meant we should follow the stream,I mean what could go wrong ?''

''It's not like we have a better thing to do.''

''I suppose you are right.''

The stream ran a straight terrain, everything was going perfectly fine till I caught a copper like scent.A cold chill ran down my spine.

''Rogues! ''

'' Run !''

The pain in my sides made running a strenuous task. The panting slowly turned into blurred vision and eventually a black object lunging towards me.

The world was spinning when I woke up,I could feel the blood rush in my head.

''Finally ,you're awake ,''Isa came. ''We have been walking down the stream and past the fork road .''

The sky was plastered with orange hues, the crickets being heard from far welcoming the dark coming from a far.By the time the moon was up,we had crossed over to another territory.

''What brings you here Droco ? '' boomed a voice from behind.

''Caught a little bunny, the boss will be well pleased.''

''Fine proceed.''

The swaying motion made my situation worser, soon we came to a standstill. The air had shifted.

''Droco, why are you back so soon ? ''

''Alpha,I came across a little bunny I saw it best to gift you .''

''Since when did you become a hunter ? '' boomed a another voice this one had a stronger tone in it and his accent was foreign.

''Well,it came to me and  what  better way  honor the great Alpha of the North than to present it .''Droco came.

Droco dropped me on the ground ,pulled a piece of cloth off my mouth and whispered huskily in my ears.

''Speak only when spoken to''

Few minutes later ,an overpowering presence was next to me,the blindfold roughly pulled off my eyes.It took some few minutes  to adjust to the light.

In front of me,was a perfect pair of mismatched irises,a scar running across his cheek that did little to no damage on his face. The stubble on his face added  on the power his face held.

''I smell Saltbridge on you.''He grunted. ''Better answer fast while am being nice.''

''It was the pack I belonged to .They took me in after my mother died.''

''And they just let you go ?''

''Yes ,my time over there was up.''I spouted bitterly.

He chuckled as he stood up and went back to his chair.

''Droco,you caught a fresh one .''

''Only for you.I best be leaving now.''

And with that I was left on the floor, the cold sipping through my bones as my new capturer eyed me as a smirk crept its way on his face.

''So of what use can you be in my pack ? ''

There was no need for playing tough ,that was the fastest route to get killed.

''I  can cook and carry out house chores,''

''I have people who do that ! ''His voice boomed across the room as he got up from where he was previously sitted.

As he got closer a musk  scent with a hint of mint filled my nostrils as he bended to my level ,the words that came out of his mouth were enough to give me a heart attack.

''You'd look prettier next to me in my bed naked.''

He laughed as he got up from his position.

''Loosen up little bunny ,my women come to me free and consented.''

''One of my members will show you the room you'll be staying in until I know what to do with you.''

And with that I was left all alone with my own thoughts, calming my heart from all that had transpired.

''Hands ! ''

A rough looking man,cut me loose from the ropes and held my arm as he directed me towards a room furthest into the hallway .

When I was finally all alone .Tears that I held in flowed freely.

''So this was my new life, submitting to an Alpha I know nothing off.''

''Oh Ryker! Ryker ! ''

''I'd prefer If you're quieter,I mean I recently acquired a new pet and I'd love it if it got proper rest.''

''Fuck my life ! '' This was the last thought on my mind as I curled in the bed.

Atleast I got a roof over my head,It was much better than sleeping in the cold.

That night a beautiful woman, one with the same eyes as me visited me.Her ever healing smile lulling me to a peaceful world.

Next morning,I could feel eyes on me.

''For a stray ,you sleep too peaceful.''

The huge hickey on his neck was enough proof that he was the ''Ryker '' in question.

''So I guess you already found my use to you ? ''

''Feisty, that aside you'll be in charge of taking care of me.Everything that concerns me  I expect you to attend to it .''

And with that he was gone.

I probably should be glad he gave me a reasonable duty but I had a feeling ,I was in for a ride that would crack the little sanity in me.

The fire crackled low in the hearth, casting amber light across the den walls. Outside, the forest had settled into its nocturnal hush - wind threading gently through the trees, the occasional call of night birds echoing from the canopy.Inside, it was quiet. Not the stillness of absence, but of fullness ,the kind that followed a day well-lived.Trixie stood by the window, cloak shrugged from her shoulders, her tunic loosened. Moonlight spilled across her collarbone, catching faintly on the still-glowing mark at her neck. She didn’t speak, just watched the stars beyond the treetops like they might whisper something back.Behind her, Ryker moved closer, barefoot and shirtless, arms folding gently around her waist. He pressed a kiss to the curve of her shoulder, his voice low, threaded with something quieter than pride.“Tell me,” he murmured, “what does it feel like - your first day as Luna?”Trixie let out a breath, long and quiet.“Like wearing something that finally fits,” she said

  • SILVER IN THE SHADOWS   Luna Walk

Dawn came softly.Golden light filtered through the high windows, dappling the stone floor and furs with warmth. The air in the den was still, the fire burned low, and outside, the forest murmured its quiet rhythms , wind through leaves, the distant stir of pack life beginning anew. But inside, time had slowed.Trixie stirred beneath the heavy blanket of fur and skin, warmth wrapped around her like a second skin not just from the covers, but from Ryker’s arms, still snug around her middle. One of his hands rested at her waist, the other lay over her heart as if to guard it even in sleep. His breath moved gently against her shoulder, even, content. She smiled to herself, not daring to move yet. Her body still ached pleasantly from the night before, marked not just by the bond, but by the way he had held her like something sacred. She turned her head slightly, gaze drifting to the burnished mark on her neck still faintly golden, warm to the touch, as if pulsing with shared life. She was

  • SILVER IN THE SHADOWS   Moonlight and oath

The moon hung low and golden, full as prophecy, as if blessing the valley itself. Lanterns strung between ancient pines cast flickering light across the clearing, where the entire pack had gathered-fur brushed, hearts full, voices hushed in reverence. Tonight was not just a wedding. It was a promise. A culmination.Trixie stood just beyond the firelight, cloaked in silver and dusk-blue, her gown a weave of soft wolf-spun fabric gifted by the elders. Her hair was crowned with moonflowers, each petal kissed with dew. Eric stood beside her, offering his arm.“You ready?” he asked quietly. She turned to him, and for a breath, he saw the girl she had once been ,the slave with fire in her eyes and wounds on her spirit. But now she stood tall, luminous with dignity. Her gaze didn’t flicker.“Yes,” she said. “More than ready.”Music began ,soft flutes, a low drum, and the harmonic hum of the pack’s oldest women, weaving a melody of blessing older than memory. As Trixie stepped into the cleari

The pack’s dispensary smelled of healing—mint, lavender, and the faint warmth of stewed roots. Shelves lined the rock walls, heavy with jars of dried herbs and tinctures. Soft morning light filtered through a small window, painting the room in muted gold. It had always been Will’s domain, a space both safe and sacred.Trixie stood at the threshold, the moonstone ring on her finger glinting faintly in the glow. Her pulse throbbed not from fear, but from the weight of what she was about to do. She drew in the aroma of healing before stepping inside. Will was bent over a workbench, carefully mixing crushed basil with honey. Nearby, Eric lounged on a stool, reading a ledger. He looked up as she entered. His eyes were steady, warm—an unwavering anchor. He and Will had a relationship rooted in years of trust a

The first light of dawn crept through the frost‑rimmed windows, painting the cabin in soft, golden hues. Shafts of sun warmed the wooden floorboards and scattered across the bed where Ryker and Trixie lay tangled skin still slick with memory, breaths shallow but steady.Trixie stirred, eyelashes fluttering as she came awake in the familiar press of his body. Ryker held her gently, his chest rising and falling in rhythm with hers. Their night together had been both reverent and wild, a merging of hunger and safety, passion and devotion. Now, in the hush of early morning, their bond felt like something ancient being woven anew.He watched her sleep—observed the delicate rise of her shoulder, the stray tendrils of hair along her jaw and something in him rose too. A tide of certainty, gentle yet insistent, moved through him. This night had unveiled everything he felt for her, and as the dawn deepened, he knew he had to ask.Ryker shifted, careful not to disturb her too much. He curled a p

The Ridge howled differently now.Gone were the ceremonial chants, the proud footfalls of soldiers in polished armor. Gone, too, was the voice of Silas—Alpha King of The Ridge, feared and revered in equal measure. All that remained now was the echo of power drained too quickly, and the daughter left behind to carry what she thought she had earned.Trisha stood before the council with her hands clasped tight behind her back, nails biting into her own skin. Her crown—a circlet of silver and onyx—felt heavier by the hour.“The people are unsettled,” said Elder Merrin, his tone as sharp as his narrowed eyes. “Three moons have passed since the siege. They want a voice. They want strength.”“T
