Chapter 63Celeste’s pov.I breathed a sigh of relief on seeing Christian. Astrid immediately let go of me and fell to the floor, and she began to scream.“You pushed me! CHAPTER 62.CELESTE:I sat on the sofa in Christian's room, nervously biting my fingers. I was so worried about it. I was worried about the convent finding out about it, Sister Theresa precisely. Christian:I walked to the garage, where I found Matteo waiting in the driver’s seat with a blank expression on his face.“How’s she holding up?” He asked, and I let out a sigh as I unbuttoned my wrist button.“I have no idea. She isn’t handling it so well.” I admitted it, and Matteo placed his head on the armrest.“She shouldn’t have found out. I expected this.” He replied.“Yeah, I was careless. But it doesn’t matter anymore, does it?”He was silent for some while before speaking. “We should get going. I have Zed’s work schedule here with me, and he’s got a business meeting in about an hour, which means we should be on our way now.” I nodded before getting into the car.Zed’s home was about twenty minutes away; he lived within the estate as well. Chapter 60.Celeste: I watched as Christian exited the dining room. He said it was nothing. I tried to force myself to believe that, but I just couldn’t. So, I went after him. I know I didn’t fully know my way around the house, but I knew that where he was going was definitely not the exit. It was a completely different block. Did he keep captives here too? I felt a little scared. Was this the work he was talking about? I wasn’t even sure I could trust Christian anymore. I don’t know if I feel safe. I saw some of the staff I could recognise, and then I realised it was the staff quarters. Before I could process further, Christian kicked open the doors of one of the rooms. I was frightened by his actions; I waited for some minutes before heading there as well. On getting there, I wished I hadn’t come at all. I tried to leave, but I felt glued to the spot. Chapter 59Christian:I wasn’t even leaving my home; I headed straight to the staff quarters. The last time I went there was months ago. I wasn’t the boss that would want to know what they were doing every time; I was too busy for that. Chapter 58.Christian: Spending the night with Celeste next to me was something I’d always enjoy. And for the first time ever, she actually snuggled up with me. Her soft snores sounded like music to my ears. The next morning, we were having breakfast together in the dining room when Matteo walked in.
