Roy turned to look at her expression. It was still cold, still sharp. He muttered under his breath, “You want to kill Calvin and the hunters… are you really going to do it?”
“Yes,” Ruth said, emotionless yet firm.
“Can you not… for Alex’s sake?” Roy asked hesitantly.
“I did… and I almost died. That feeling wasn’t pleasant. It’s either I die, or they do,” Ruth replied.
“Alex… make a choice,” she said, glancing toward him from behind Ray.
