I had to lay low for some time after the incident with Vito. I won’t easily get caught; in fact, I never get caught. But I just needed to be sure my surroundings were safe. Matteo was making sure things were okay back home; I could trust him on that.

After two days of hiding in my private Airbnb, I had to go back home. I already got a call from Matteo that the pilot was on the ground.

On occasions like this, I preferred to drive myself; I couldn’t trust people so easily, especially with my rivals around.

Just less than one kilometre into my trip to the airport, I noticed a car behind me. A cautious feeling enveloped me, and I suddenly had the hunch that the driver was stalking me.
