I open my eyes to the brightness of the room, my head banging too loud, and a hiss slips through my parted lips as I sit up on the bed; resting against the headboard.
With one hand on my head, I gaze around the room. It smells of wealth. And in a different situation, I would have been awed, but right now; I'm so angry. I'm precisely fuming as I look around for any sign of Darren.
I knew there was something off about him, but I stopped doubting him when we got closer, and how stupid could I have been?
Does this explain how he got to know my house, and Sinclair? No one knows about Sinclair. Not even my best friend, so who the hell is this guy really? And how long has he been stalking me?
A hiss slips through my lips as I look around for my phone, but of course, he took it. He wouldn't be dumb enough to leave the mobile with me.

RALPH. "You're here. " I smile, moving from my seat to give Ashley a hug before she slides into the seat across from me, while I settle back on mine. "Hey, Ralph. How are you?" She smiles, removing her glasses and leaning forward. "I haven't heard from you in a while. A surprise you called. " "Yeah. We've all been busy, haven't we?" I say and she nods, keeping that gentle smile on her face. "Do you want to order anything before—" I start and she shakes her head. "No. I'm good. Are you?" "Sure, I am. " I respond and she hums, narrowing her eyes at me when I say no other word. "You wanted to meet?" "Yes. " I nod, linking my fingers and dropping them in front of me. "I want to talk to you about something important, and I don't know if you've heard it from Lucy or—" "What's it?" She asks and I take a breath before I continue, "You know she's pregnant, don't you?" Her eyes widen. "She is?" I push my head back. "You don't? I thought she'd tell you about that. " "No, she didn't.
