Hi everybody. In light of the last chapter dropping tomorrow, I have so much that I want to say to you all before we wrap it up here.

I never imagined when I published the first chapter, it would get the response it’s gotten. I was shocked when so many of you responded when I confided in the notes about feeling like a failure as a writer. At 23, the world can seem so full of possibilities, and all of them unreachable. You all have been so kind, so encouraging, and I’m truly so grateful. Thank you so much for reading. You really didn’t have to, and you still did, and I’m so happy that you came along for the ride.

I’ve really been struggling with the knowledge that this thing is ending, even though I know full well that I’ve taken this story as far as it’s meant to go, at least in this chapter of the characters’ lives. However, it also allowed me to rediscover my passion for writing, and I’m so grateful. I am

  • SIR   EPILOGUE

*sighs* *marks this story as completed* *sits here and contemplates my life* ~  I kick my shoes off the second I walk into the apartment, groaning as my feet throb with relief.“I am never wearing those heels ever again,” I whine, padding down the hallway, dropping my bag and coat carelessly on the floor as I walk.“You didn’t buy them for comfort, Doll,” David teases the moment he sees me appear in the kitchen doorway, where he’s already pouring me a glass of wine. “In fact, I don’t think you bought them to wear outside of this apartment at all.”Smiling, I take the glass of wine, then kiss him, my hand habitually going to his neck and scratching lightly over his hairline.“Good day?” he asks.“Yeah. Busy. You?”“Nope. Harlan’s got everything under control. Doesn’t even need me anymore,” he replies, leaning back against the counter as I step back.Over the last six months, it feels like so much has changed, and nothing has changed at

  • SIR   SEVENTY-NINE: Now You're A Millionaire Like Me

“I swear to god.” David mutters angrily as I pull back in surprise from him, looking towards the hallway instead of focusing on him. “I’ll get them to leave.” He marches to the door, not caring that he is only in his boxers. It is probably Marcus or Theo, coming with something unnecessary that could definitely wait a couple of hours. He rips the door open, ready to shout at– Rhys. “Jeez, do you always open the door like this?” He scoffs, dramatically covering his eyes with his left hand. “What do you want? I said we’d–” “Talk in a couple days, yeah I know. But there’s some things that need more urgent attention.” Rhys says, holding up his right hand, which is holding a number of manila folders. David snatches them out of his hand, walking down the hallway, leaving the door open for Rhys to invite himself in. Which of course, he does. I come out of the kitchen, cradling my mug containing the half of the coffee that

  • SIR   SEVENTY-EIGHT: Too Much Before Coffee?

Author’s Note: TWO CHAPTERS LEFT!! I AM ~distressed~ ~ I relax into a full-body stretch as I wake up the next morning, the sheets falling from my arms as I lift them overhead. My muscles ache deliciously, and memories of last night flood my mind. Getting into bed. In the bath.Rhys’s house.I’m not left with my reminiscing for very long because suddenly I am very aware of the fact that David’s tongue is between my legs.Lifting the sheets to look down, David smiles up at me.“Good morning, darling.” He mutters, kissing up my stomach, across my chest and up my neck.It takes me a few seconds to sink into the bed, underneath his hands now running up my sides and pulling my body closer to his.“David…” I whisper, my brain not having the capacity to wake up fully, process everything, understand what my body is feeling.“Shhh, your coffee is on its way. Just give me five minutes.” His words dance across my skin, making it erupt in shivers.

  • SIR   SEVENTY-SEVEN: David Is All I Need

I kiss him back eagerly, the relief flooding through my body. He still wants me. He wants to stay. This is the chance to fix things. I rush to undo the rest of his buttons as his tongue delves into my mouth, his hands coming back to my face, holding me as close to him as he can. When I start to push his shirt over his shoulders, he takes his hands away to help get rid of it, then he stands and starts undoing his belt buckle. I run my hands through his hair as he works to remove his clothes as quickly as possible, and before I know it, he is leaning over me, making me sit back, each of his hands coming either side of the tub, crowding me, as he steps in. The moment he sits down, his hands are on my waist, pulling me forward onto his lap. I crash into his chest, the kiss not losing its momentum for a second. The water swirls around us, and I hear some of it splash onto the floor, but neither of us gives a damn. One of his hands comes to the back of my hea

  • SIR   SEVENTY-SIX: Did You Mean It?

Author’s Note: Hey fam! So remember when I gave a vague estimate for how many chapters were left? Well, I am here to confirm that chapter 79 will be the end of SIR. I get so emotional just thinking about it, and I am not even remotely ready for it to be over. But let's do the damn thing together. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ David leads me into his apartment, not commenting on the mess he has to guide me through. Or maybe he doesn’t even notice. Between Danvers and me rushing around to get ready and leave, I haven’t exactly kept things neat and tidy. But maybe he knows that is the reason why there are random pieces of clothing knocked off the coat rack, pieces of paper on the floor from when I was trying to find more weapons and emptied all the drawers. Maybe Danvers has already warned him somehow. Maybe he knows I had been here running around like a tornado. Maybe he just doesn’t care. He just leads me to the bathro
