تسجيل الدخولJacob’s POV:As Allison walked into the washroom, I observed Enzo and Dane following her behind and standing by the door. I once again moved towards the guy who spilled the coffee on Allison.“I’d have beaten you to death for this, you know,” I threatened him and his eyes widened in fear.“I – I didn’t do it on purpose. I’m really sorry.” He begged again while I glared into his eyes, my blood boiling in anger.“Jacob, let him go. It was an accident.” Enzo whispered from behind while I took a breath, calming myself down and stepped back from the guy. He took a sigh of relief and immediately walked away from there with the other person following him behind.“What happened to you?” Enzo asked me in confusion while I lowered my head, thinking the same.“I – I just want to get the work done as soon as possible.” I replied to him in frustration.“It’s okay. Once Allison comes out, we’ll go to her boss immediately.” Enzo whispered back and I nodded.“By the way,” he started again. “I don’t u
Allison’s POV:*Ten minutes ago*We continued walking toward my department, and my heart raced. I noticed the absence of anyone around, assuming they were all attending the presentation organized by Jacob. How did he manage this? How did he manipulate Josiah to arrange it? These questions swirled in my mind as we proceeded. Suddenly, my eyes sparkled as I saw Sylvie walking in my direction. I breathed a sigh of relief, and a ray of hope emerged. I stopped for a second, looking at her, hoping she’d ask me if I was okay and fortunately she looked up at me.“Allison,” she murmured my name and a smile approached her lips. I smiled too, as a surge of excitement filled my chest.“Sylvie,” I murmured when suddenly I heard Jacob, exhaling deeply, causing my heart to race and my excitement to wane. Sylvie immediately paced towards me, making me gulp.“Oh my God,” she started and pulled me into a hug. I wanted to take the opportunity to whisper into her ear, to ask for help but unfortunately, J
Allison’s POV:I couldn't believe my ears as Enzo asked Jacob about killing me. The thought of dying sent shivers down my spine; there were so many things I wanted to achieve in life. I wanted to become the Editor in Chief. I wanted to have a house of my own. I wanted to marry someone and have kids with him. All these dreams flashed before my eyes as the mafia boss contemplated killing me. Unable to tear myself away from the window, I anxiously waited for Jacob's response.“Let’s get in the car.” Jacob finally responded, and I immediately sat up straight. He didn't answer Enzo’s question, making me anxious. Would he really kill me? However, being killed seemed preferable to losing my virginity to him against my will. Distressingly, as the car door opened and Jacob climbed in, Enzo took the front passenger seat.Jacob, with his judgmental eyes, looked at me, making me feel like he was scanning me for the truth. To avoid eye contact, I immediately lowered my head and looked away.“You’r
Allison’s POV:After waiting in my room for a few seconds and pondering what Jacob might have on his mind, I finally managed to gather myself and take a step forward behind Jacob as he left the room. Once again, I felt anxious, scared, frustrated, and helpless. While Jacob began to descend the stairs quickly, I picked up a slow pace and began to follow him, constantly thinking about the note I received the previous day. I wondered if my so-called well-wisher was genuinely wishing well for me when suddenly something struck my mind, and my eyes widened. I left the note under the pillow last night, and it must still be there. Oh no! My left foot hung in the air as I halted in my tracks and gulped, turning my face around to look at the room. The staff would find it under the pillow and inform Jacob. No! I can’t let that happen. No!“Why aren’t you following me?” Jacob’s harsh voice brought me back to life, and I realized that I had been frozen in place while Jacob had already descended th
Allison’s POV:I was terrified by his warning because this time, I had indeed made a mistake. I lied to Jacob Hayes, on his face and I was now regretting that as he walked out of the room. He was powerful and he tend to know it all, which was making me more anxious since I feared that he might come to know about the note I received and then I would have to bear his anger and the agony he would inflict upon me. But it was what I was supposed to do. I couldn’t let my kidnapper know that someone might be trying to help me to escape. However, I also wasn’t sure if the person who sent me the note would actually try to help me escape and not have intentions of harming me in any way. It was confusing. I looked down at the tray which had food on it. It was once again a variety of things on that tray. And why not enjoy the delicious food today if you are worried for tomorrow? We shall see what happens tomorrow! I told myself and immediately went ahead to have something to eat and went to sleep
Jacob’s POV:I was running downstairs as I heard the loud noise outside the house when I saw Enzo running towards the door too.“Enzo.” I called out and he halted in his tracks, turning around, firmly holding a gun in his hand.“There has been a small blast outside.” Enzo informed me.“Okay. Let’s go.” I said and Enzo tossed a gun towards me while I caught it immediately and walked out with him.As we stepped outside, we saw our men and some of our staff gathered around the main gate and we ran towards them.“Jacob, you stay behind.” Enzo suggested while we were running.“No!” I replied and ran as fast as I could and reached the main gate.“What happened?” I asked loudly and some of my men immediately gathered around me with guns in their hands.“Boss, there was a small explosion at the main gate. When our car entered through the main gate, that explosive exploded. We’re all safe. I think it was just to scare us or something.” Mark said and I began to look at the car, which didn’t loo
