Chapter 11

"Mother how have you been?" She asked after her mother calmed down a bit. They were now seated at the wooden bed.

"How else would I be my daughter, your father seemed to have gotten worst as he no longer gets any coins from me".

"He had sold off all my valuables and dowries, squandered them all on gamblings and drinks. I am just living with hope that the gods would make my daughter wipe my tears" she concluded and Galene's heart shattered as tears stream down her eyes. Her mother was been suffering in the of her heartless father.  

"Everything would be fine mother, let's trust and believe in the gods for even my destiny and future, he knows them all" she breathe out and her mother nodded.

She knew she couldn't even believe her own words. Even though she had lost hope in her future as she had been sold off, she would not let her mother see through her eyes, the pain and anguish they held.
