~Olivia~

“What the hell did I just do? I didn’t just sign those papers, did I?” I could feel my palms sweating, my stomach churning and my heart hurting as I wanted to pretend I wasn’t just slapped in the face.

I didn’t spare his secretary any glance and walked back to my cubicle like I wasn’t in pieces already.

My hands shook. I couldn’t concentrate. Everything in me was crying except my eyes.

Ryan sold me to his friend for money? It was still very unbelievable and the fact that I wasn’t crying yet was killing me so bad.

I didn’t know how to react, couldn’t go to Emily’s office right now because the pain would double as she warned me multiple times.

My hands shook as I couldn’t hold anything or even type, I beat my chest as it felt tight and painful.

I just couldn’t hold back anymore and walked all the way to her office.

One step in and the tears flowed freely, as if to protest that I had been holding them back for too long.

I let out a whimper as it hurt real bad. This was beyond heartbreak, it was brutal betrayal while I still lost everything.

She stood immediately and watched me crawl to sit in her corner, my hands still clutching to my chest as I couldn’t explain how this felt.

Her eyes held pity in them but it disappeared almost immediately. “I’m still not changing my mind Olive, don’t put on this act for him.” She looked away, thinking I was putting on a freaking act for Ryan.

Her words broke me even more.

So I was this pathetic for him? She actually believed I would do this for him, go through all lengths to give him what was mine.

I was definitely stupid.

“I was stupid, I’m sorry.” I managed to let out amidst everything that was going on in my head.

My voice was a silent cry for help as I was drowning in pain.

That made her move and I watched her come close, my chest heaving heavily as I wished I listened to her when she warned I kept something for myself or even when she pleaded that I left the relationship.

“What happened olive?” Her eyes settled on me.

“You’re not here to plead for him.” She said it like she just read that up from my crying face.

I nod slowly.

“You didn’t get into trouble with the boss?” She asked again, her eyes twitching like she was scared if that would be a yes.

How do I tell her I didn’t get into trouble but actually got married to him. “No” I mouthed this time around, trying to stop myself from crying, it won’t change anything right now even though it hurts real bad.

She clears her throat, takes a seat beside me with her hands on my back. “So what happened?” Her voice was calm as she was definitely happy I didn't lose my job.

I couldn’t blame her, she was a true friend as she knew the last thing I wanted to happen to me was losing my job and she didn’t want that for me.

“Ryan.” I mentioned slowly, as his voice and all he said to Nathan came up again in my memory.

She rolled her eyes in disgust like nothing good could ever come out of that.. and for once i was agreeing with her but it cost me everything already.

My trust, my money, my time, my money…

Her voice suddenly had a sharp edge but she didn’t make it too obvious. “What about him?”

I sat still, wiping tears away from her eyes as I told myself that he wasn’t worth it.

I cleared my throat, trying my very best to maintain a calm demeanor as people passed by her office.

Her eyes glued to me as she waited for an explanation of what was going on.

“Ryan sold me to his friend.” I broke out.

“For money” I added and I didn’t miss the way her face almost lit up with an ‘I told you so’.

But she was my friend so she held that in.

“So he broke up with you?” She asked as if she was double confirming, failing to hide the happiness in her voice.

He chose the darndest way to do it and didn’t say it straight to my face but “yes he did.”

He humiliated me and limited me to something he could sell, calling me naive all because I chose to support a dream I couldn’t see happening for him.

That’s it Olivia, it’s not the end of the world, it’s only the beginning and no one is walking over us ever again.

“Wait.. did you say he sold you? Like he gave you to someone else and how are you getting all this information after coming back from the boss office?” She asked, her gaze overly serious right now as the real scare was about to happen.

I returned the look she gave me not knowing where I was going to start from too.

“He didn’t involve you into mafia shit, did he?” She asked pretty scared.

I nodded her a no, watching her sigh, relieved that this wasn’t the case.

Only it was way worse as I was fucking married.

“Explain faster olive, you know I have little patience for these kind of things.”

“He sold me to Nathan.”

It takes her a lot of time to realize who Nathan was as she was fond of calling him boss.

I didn’t break it to her yet that I actually did sign marriage papers.

Her shocked expression sits wildly on her face as she mouths no way.

A message from an unknown number comes at the same time she says something.

“So you have to like pay back what Ryan took or what’s the deal?” She’s pissed but doesn’t say a thing.

I read the message calmly, praying secretly that this would all be a dream and time could go back and I wouldn’t have signed papers without thinking.

I could have stayed with Emily, you know. Quick thinking Olivia.

“I signed marriage papers, Emily.” I broke it out to her as I stood up.

Her face in disbelief and in utter shock.

She was dumbfounded and couldn’t say a word and I walked out quietly as Nathan somehow already got my number and messaged that I could get off early alongside a note of his house address.

  • SOLD BY My BOYFRIEND, MARRIED TO HIS BILLIONAIRE BESTFRIEND    Chapter 005

~Nathan~ I thought I was going to have to do a lot more than calling her boyfriend in front of her to get her to sign those papers. I watched her walk away just as I expected. She was heartbroken and I hated to see that. Because that only meant he had a special place in her heart. Her beautiful face stained with tears but her phone ringing stopped her dead in her tracks. I didn’t know how to comfort a woman. Hell I haven't ever done that. But just when I was thinking of what to do to make her sign the papers before she likely gets to confront her shitty boyfriend.. ex boyfriend and find out the real truth. She backs up immediately like she was fueled by something. She stood in front of me, her eyes teary and red. She was fighting tears. “You have a lot of money and a place for me to stay right?” She asked, taking me aback. I nodded, knowing she knew the exact answers to her questions. She just wanted to confirm again. Before I could spill any more words as I was care

  • SOLD BY My BOYFRIEND, MARRIED TO HIS BILLIONAIRE BESTFRIEND    Chapter 004

~Olivia~ We both stood there, looking at each other. My thoughts are certain that he was definitely high on something but he maintained his very creepy smile. “He did say you were smart, beautiful, full figured and obedient but I don’t think he was right about the last part now was he?” He said lightly, putting no effort as he leaned back into his chair, reading something from his phone. I was confused and definitely wasn’t here for that. Or should I directly just ask him for the advance since he has gone crazy. I wasn’t smiling anymore, wasn’t pretending to be polite or professional. “I think you have the wrong Olivia sir.” I managed to somehow still be respectful, looking past his eyes that were looking straight at me like I was a prey. He laughed. It was rich and a mocking one. “Olivia Lane, Ryan’s ex-girlfriend, an only child with no surviving family members. Finished her first degree a year ago, no sexual experience.” His eyes looked at me tauntingly when he mention

  • SOLD BY My BOYFRIEND, MARRIED TO HIS BILLIONAIRE BESTFRIEND    Chapter 003

I was trying to think of reasons why I would be called to “the boss” office. I clearly haven’t done anything. I made sure no one was passing when Emily raised her voice, so please what’s going on? “I’m here to see Mr Harold.” The words left my mouth and only then did my palms start sweating again like it did in the elevator. I couldn’t have done anything wrong, could I? His secretary doesn’t help matters either as she gave me a rather rude once over, looking at me like I shouldn’t be wearing what I was wearing right now. It was just a knee length skirt and a work blouse that had a small opening at my upper chest region. Just a little opening that showed a little skin and maybe a little view of my tits. But that shouldn’t be any issue. It’s Nathan and I’m pretty sure he’ll remember whose girlfriend I was. “He called for you first thing this morning?” She said, though it came out more like she was asking me to confirm what she was likely seeing in her system. I was confuse

  • SOLD BY My BOYFRIEND, MARRIED TO HIS BILLIONAIRE BESTFRIEND    Chapter 002

~Olivia~ I didn’t know what to think. Didn’t know what exactly to say. It must be the rough patch. I muttered countless times to myself as I took myself to work. No plan or money for rent. I’ll even be lucky to survive food bills for another week if I give him my salary. I was under a monthly salary payment with my workplace and my rent is only a dire issue right now because I signed a six months lease agreement. I could have easily sorted it out with this month's pay if my rent was a monthly payment plan but no everything just had to backfire at once. “The supervisor is calling you in.” Jane walked to my cubicle and forced me out of my thoughts. She was gone in the next second, hurrying like she had something to do. Sighs confusingly. Literally everyone had something to do, I just happened to be a little lost today. Okay maybe a lot lost but it was only expected after all that happened this morning with Ryan and something tells me that our supervisor had caught on

  • SOLD BY My BOYFRIEND, MARRIED TO HIS BILLIONAIRE BESTFRIEND    Chapter 001

I knew that my rent was due, the message popped up three days ago, but here I was standing in front of the mirror. Thinking about my life choices as it really now felt like I was alone and lost. Even though I had a boyfriend, Ryan. Ryan was recently all about himself and it was precisely he who saddled me with a heavy financial burden, sucking my blood, even when I never wanted to truly admit it. After that came my girlfriend’s suggestion that he should refund the money. Yet I have always trusted and loved him. A deep stare into the mirror to fully understand why I had nothing even though I had a good and stable work. I was about to be freaking evicted from my house and he still didn’t care, didn’t send back the money he owed me. Emily’s words floated freely in my head as she told me to confront Ryan and ask for my money back. I opened my phone and went through all the messages without reading the other ones in particular until his name came up clearly. I don’t know why I w
