ANMELDENAuthor’s POV:As usual Zara woke up with uneven breathing and profuse sweating. The nightmares won’t let her sleep. Every time she thinks she is about to have a peaceful sleep, the nightmare occurs and very forcefully she has to wake up.Zara sat on her bed and checked the time. It was 6:30, she sighed deeply and went to bathroom for her morning routine. Today she opted to wear baby pink fur sweater which she paired with blue jeans and sneakers. Letting her hair fall freely she gave herself a final touch and made way out of the room.“Mom, I don’t want breakfast. I’m running late…Bye” Zara said while running out of the house. By the time her mother bid her a goodbye from the kitchen, Zara was already in the car putting it in ignition.The weather was good. The early winter days were cold but the sunlight spread a warm feeling. Zara’s POV:“Zara save me…Help…help…Zara…” I opened my eyes immediately, and found myself drenched in sweat with rapid breathes and heart fluttering insanely inside my chest.Another nightmare!I sat up, resting my back against the headboard and wiped the sweat off my forehead. I saw the time. It was 10:30 in the morning. I let out a deep sigh and let my head fall back. These nightmares never let me sleep. Every night I see Charlotte injured and running for her life. Calling for my help, it breaks my heart every time and leaves me hopeless.It has been six months since Charlotte was gone and my once quiet and peaceful world turned upside down.I became more attentive towards home and mom. I stopped practicing early in the morning and only practiced in the college. As I was too sacred to leave mom all alone at home. The very thought of killer being around mom, scared me and I don’t want to lose her too. Although there was not another note from the killer, but I can’t let my guard down.
Author’s POV:Zara and her mother were devastated on the news. Arlette cried her heart out the whole night. After her divorce her kids were the only reason she made it through the ups and downs of the life. With Charlotte gone, a part of her died with her daughter.On the other hand Zara was as much in grief as her mother. Her sister, who was also like another mother to her was no more. The whole night she kept on hugging her mother as if she will also lose her mother if she let go.Next morning; the house was completely quiet. Zara and her mother didn’t slept as they kept on crying.
