DAISY'S POV

It was the first time in my life I heard Zordon scream. The pain in his voice — it was unbearable. I could feel it. It was as though his body was collapsing in on itself, bones breaking against his will, until suddenly, he was sent flying across the field.

I ran toward him, but I couldn't reach him. He was trapped. Bound by a spell. And the rage that surged through me was like nothing I'd ever felt. It was new. Raw. Explosive.

My feet moved on their own, and before I realized it, I was standing in front of one of the witches. She smirked like she was ready to quarrel with me, you know say something witty or cast one of her spells on me, but I didn't give her a chance to speak.

My fist drove into her chest. She gasped, her breath leaving her lungs as I pulled my hand back. Her heart was still faintly beating while I squished it in my palm. She dropped to the floor, lifeless. I looked at her body, then at my hand and smiled.

Maybe Zordon was right. Maybe I really was a powe

ZORDON'S POVShe held out her hand, and I took it. Her palm was warm, yet somehow lifeless. She led me down a hallway and then turned to look at me."What's the matter, Mother?" I asked."It's just so nice to see you," she said, smiling. "Watching over you isn't the same as being with you. It feels so good to see you and be able to talk to you. Tell me, how have you been? How has ruling the pack been so far?"I looked at her, confused. Why was she asking questions she already knew the answers to?"Where's Dad?" I asked, avoiding her question."Well, you're only allowed to see one parent at a time," she replied. "Your father and I thought it was best if it were me. He was always a little jealous of the bond we shared while we were alive."She smiled again, and for a moment, everything felt complete. The hole I'd carried in me for decades disappeared. Their deaths had devastated me, but now, it felt like I had found the missing pieces of myself. I didn't want to leave. I didn't want to

ISLA'S POVPacing around the entrance of the mansion wasn't ideal, but it was the only thing I could do. I wanted to get in a car and follow them, but I knew I'd be disobeying his orders. Zordon knew what he was doing, and he expected me to trust his judgment.Still, I couldn't reach them. Couldn't get a hold of anyone. And it bothered me.I didn't know if they were okay.Taking Daisy along had been a mistake. She was only going to be a liability, and I knew that from the start. It was almost 1 am when I finally heard the car pull into the compound. I rushed out of the house and met them on the stairs.Zordon was carrying Daisy in his arms.I glanced at Stefan. Blood covered all three of them. Zordon walked right past me without a word and headed inside.I followed, trying to keep up, but his long strides made it almost impossible."Somebody get me a doctor!" he shouted into the air, not to anyone in particular.I immediately pulled out my phone and dialled the family doctor. ZORDON'S POV The first day came and went. Daisy and Stefan were still in bed. By the second day, Stefan had managed to get out of bed. I had already reached out to Luna Evelyn and explained everything that had happened. She scolded me for putting Daisy in danger, then told me it was okay if we didn't attend the gala. I honestly didn't want to skip it, but I had no one to attend with, and I was certain that if I laid eyes on Dexter, I would kill him. So much time and effort had gone into planning this war. Soldiers were training twice as hard. Everyone was exhausted. But in the middle of it all, I was only worried about one person — Daisy. She had sustained the worst injuries. And even though she looked fine on the outside, she still hadn't woken up. I was in the study, going over paperwork, when a knock came on the door. Stefan poked his head in, and I looked up. "I don't think you should be on your feet just yet," I said, closing my laptop and pushing it aside. "I'm al

ZORDON'S POVI couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Ingesting the wolfsbane wasn't working for him anymore. The more he put it in her food and drinks, the more her wolf fought back. She kept resisting it until it was like she was becoming immune. When my father noticed this, he began injecting her with it instead, telling her it was medicine that would make her feel better. She trusted him with her life, and he abused that trust. But her wolf began telling her not to trust anyone, so that night of her first transformation, my father followed her in his truck and ran her over when her wolf attempted to cross the road to enter the other side of the forest where the stream was." "That fucking bastard!" I yelled. "I found out the truth after he got into an argument with my mother. She threatened to expose him. He killed her and said she died of a heart attack. He was a monster. And I wasn't going to let him kill Daisy the same way he killed my mother. I couldn't just sit back and do n

DEXTER'S POVI walked into the office and grabbed the vodka bottle on the shelf. I took a gulp before throwing it across the room. It shattered the moment it hit the wall. I growled, confused and angry, not knowing what to do."Now's not the time to throw tantrums. We need to find out what kind of wolf Daisy is and how we can take her down," Xavier said, walking into the office."Take her down? She moves faster than anything I've ever seen. She didn't even need to phase into her wolf form to defeat four witches, and you think you can take her down? I'd love to see you try!" I spat at him."You know her better than anyone. You know her weaknesses. If anyone can take her down, it's you. You were able to hurt her tonight because you know her, so it was easy for you to predict her moves. I need you to pull yourself together and think!" Xavier yelled."I can't give you what you want because I have nothing to give. I don't know her. She's a different person than the one I gave to Zordon. If

DAISY’S POVI woke up and looked around. The sun hung high in the sky. I tried to make sense of my surroundings. The last thing I remembered was being on the battlefield with Zordon.Zordon!I tried to sit up but groaned in pain. I touched my stomach and noticed it was bandaged. The room was empty until the door opened and Zordon walked in, his aura and charisma following him. I tried to sit up again, but the pain was excruciating.“Don't do that. You shouldn't be up just yet,” he said, adjusting the pillow behind me and nuzzling me back down.“Where's my cousin? Did he make it out?” I asked, my voice trembling.“He's fine. You don't have to worry about him,” he assured me.“How did I get here? The last thing I remember was being on the field, trying to wake you up after… after killing the witches,” I said, my voice breaking with guilt.“Stefan said you put up a fight. KENDRA'S POVI had called Dustin, just as my father instructed. I didn't expect things to unfold in a way that would cause him to abandon Dexter entirely. But that was the plan—my father wanted to destroy Dexter, and to accomplish that, he had to isolate him from the pack, and more importantly, his beta. Anyone who could help him recover had to be removed. Once Dexter was alone and vulnerable, the final blow would be easy.My father was a beast in human skin, but he was still my father, and I had no choice but to follow his orders. They'd been yelling for hours now—Dexter and Dustin, but I wasn't about to interfere. Dexter had gone out tonight, thinking Daisy would return with him. That was all he cared about. Daisy. Always fucking Daisy.I was sick and tired of hearing her name in my own marriage. Every conversation seemed to circle back to her. Every action I took was compared to how she would've done it. It was exhausting. And what made it worse, I loved Dexter anyway.I know. Lov

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   108: Dustin’s Decision

DEXTER'S POVI couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was absurd that Dustin wasn't on my side in all of this. The one person I was certain would stand by me was the one telling me he didn't support my decisions. He was taking Zordon's side, of all things. I had already lost a fight, and now he was telling me to give up. To give up on Daisy? There was no way I could do that. There was nothing Dustin could say or do that would change my mind."So what are you saying? Whose side are you on?" I screamed at him."There are no sides here," Dustin replied coldly. "But if you decide to go ahead with this, I won't be going with you. And I won't let you drag the entire pack down with you. Whoever wants to follow you into this madness can do so, but those who feel the same way I do won't be coming along. Tomorrow, the pack will make its choice: stand with you or not. Whatever they choose, I'll accept it. Whoever stands with me will leave with me. I will n

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   165: Epilogue

DAISY'S POV The house was finally still. Zion was fast asleep in his own bed, curled up with his stuffed wolf tucked beneath one arm. He'd insisted he wasn't tired, then passed out mid-sentence while telling me his version of a bedtime story, which, naturally, included dragons, glowing swords, and a lot of heroic howling. Zahra, our six-month-old daughter, was tucked into her crib in the nursery. The faint sound of her gentle breaths echoed through the baby monitor beside the bed. She'd been fussy earlier, but a warm bottle and a lullaby had done the trick. Now her tiny hands rested over her heart, lips parted in a peaceful dream. For the first time in days, everything was quiet. And for the first time in weeks, we were alone. I stood at the foot of our bed wearing one of Zordon's oversized t-shirts. I had unbuttoned it just enough to tease. My body still hadn't completely returned to its pre-baby shape, not that I had I tummy, I was way curvier than I was before I got preg

ZORDON'S POVZion was supposed to be napping.Instead, he was orchestrating what I could only describe as a chicken rebellion, armed with a stick, a feather, and a very serious scowl.I stood on the porch, arms folded, watching as my son attempted to "train" the chicks like miniature soldiers. They, in turn, had formed a sort of panicked flock and were darting around in circles while he shouted instructions that made no sense whatsoever."Line up, soldiers!" he barked, tripping over his own feet and landing in the mud with a giggle.Daisy gave her running after him and came to stand behind me, she sighed lovingly. "You should probably stop him before he declares war on the garden."I didn't move. "He needs to learn about leadership.""Zordon."I glanced at her over my shoulder. She was glowing, in that maddeningly beautiful way she always did when she was pregnant. Her hair was braided back from her face, her dress loose and light, and one hand was settled protectively over her belly.

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   163: Three Years Later

DAISY'S POVThree Years LaterZion was barefoot again.I could hear his laughter before I saw him, high and wild, the kind that only belonged to children who had never known fear. His little legs darted through the tall grass like he belonged to it. Thick, dark curls tangled in the wind, dirt streaked across his cheeks, and a dandelion stem stuck behind one ear."Zion!" I called, not really trying to stop him.He spun once, arms flung wide like wings, before he took off running again this time toward the coop. A dozen chicks scattered in every direction, their little peeps rising in alarm.Zordon stood on the porch, arms crossed over his chest, a familiar scowl tugging at his mouth. "That boy is menace to our livestock."I stepped up beside him, one hand resting on the curve of my belly, the other slipping into his. "They adore him.""They fear him.""They follow him," I said, leaning my head against his shoulder. "There's a difference."Zordon snorted but didn't argue. Instead, he ki

DAISY'S POVA few nights later, the palace felt almost too quiet.Just the hush that comes when everyone else has gone to sleep, and you're left alone with your thoughts.Zordon lay beside me, already half-asleep. One arm was draped across me and our son, the weight of his hand warm and steady. He always slept that way now. Like he thought he could protect the baby even in dreams.I wasn't tired. Or maybe I was, but the exhaustion felt too big to settle. Like my body didn't know how to turn off yet. My brain kept replaying the day on a loop, our vows, the sound of the crowd, the gold circlet still pressing faintly into my forehead like it had left a mark.A crown. A child. A future I could barely begin to understand.Eventually, I drifted off. Not gradually. It was more like falling, like one blink and the world shifted beneath me.******I was standing in a field I'd never seen before.Moonlight poured from the sky like rain, so bright and clean it made everything shimmer. • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   161: The Birth

DAISY'S POVThe forest had changed since the war, but only just.New green pushed up through old ash. Flowers bloomed where fire once scorched the earth. Trees whispered again, not in warning, just in welcome.Zordon and I walked hand in hand along the narrow path, the one we'd taken long ago when everything between us had been tension and doubt. Back then, I wasn't sure I believed in fate. I wasn't sure I believed in us.Now?His hand was warm in mine, steady and strong. My feet moved slower than they used to thanks to the weight I carried, but I didn't mind. The baby kicked every so often, reminding me that time was short. That soon, we'd be three."You're quiet," Zordon said softly, brushing a low-hanging branch out of my way."I'm thinking.""Dangerous."I gave him a sideways look, but I smiled. "What will we name him?"He paused. "I don't know. I thought you should do the honors, since you are the one who will birth him.""I see," I said, exhaling. The wind stirred through the le

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   160: The Ceremony

DAISY'S POVThree days after Zordon proposed, I stood at the edge of Mooncliff Summit, dressed in white and shaking in my boots.Well, technically I was barefoot. The seamstress had tried heels, but I had nearly broken my ankle so we settled on soft, woven sandals that I'd kicked off somewhere near the top of the cliff. My feet pressed into the warm stone now, grounding me in a way nothing else could.I kept my hands over my belly, partly out of instinct, partly because it helped me breathe. The baby was quiet this morning. Still and peaceful. Maybe he sensed the magnitude of today. Maybe he was waiting, just like the rest of the world.Thousands had gathered below. Wolves from every surviving pack. Elders. Witches. Seers. Even some humans who knew of our existence. People who had once hated each other now stood side by side. I wasn't sure if it was unity or just exhaustion, but either way, they came. They came to see us.To see me.I still couldn't wrap my head around it.Zordon stoo

DAISY'S POVThe morning after Luna Evelyn's visit arrived with golden sunlight and the smell of cinnamon drifting through the air.Zordon had already left the bed by the time I woke up. I stretched, my hand resting lightly on the curve of my belly. A quiet flutter reminded me that our little one was growing stronger every day.Slipping on a robe, I padded into the sunroom and stopped in my tracks.Zordon was there and he was shirtless, barefoot, and standing over a small table set for two on the balcony. Steam curled from two mugs. Plates of fruit, eggs, fresh bread, and that cinnamon I'd smelled were perfectly arranged. Wildflowers in a simple jar sat in the center."You cooked?" I asked, blinking in surprise. He shrugged. "I bribed someone to help. But I did stir the eggs."I laughed and moved toward him, kissing his cheek before sitting down.We ate slowly, talking about everything and nothing. For a while, it was just us again. No Luna Evelyn. No war. No titles."Come take a walk

DAISY'S POVTwo months had passed since the war ended, yet the air still carried the scent of smoke and death. We had won. The bloodshed was over. But peace wasn't as quiet as I thought it would be. It pulsed beneath the surface like the earth was still bracing for another storm.Dexter's trial had finally ended. He sat alone in the depths of Pine Hollow, sealed away in a cell built for the worst of our kind. Silver-lined walls, enchanted locks, constant guard rotations. But the Council and the Pinewood people had chosen something far worse than death for him.He had been stripped of his wolf. The bond to the moon, the magic in his blood, the power that once made him Alpha, it was all gone. Just like that. No more shifting. No more heightened senses. No more pack. They carved the beast out of him and left only a man behind. And his sentence? To live as the man he truly was. Weak and cruel and hollow. Then I topped off his sentence by sending him to work in the very barracks he once se
