CHAPTER 1 {Anya}

{Author's pov}

-Two months ago-

Dragged by the hair she weep in pain screaming her lungs out for mercy, her toes scrubbed hard the rock floor causing lots of bruising on her fragile skin and toes, her clothes were tore due to how she forcefully dragged Anya by the hair.

“Pl-Please..I won't run again!! I beg of you!!! Please” she cried her eyes out, her swollen eyes strain her eyes up her step mother but as usual she played deaf ears and curse more on the innocent girl. 

“You witch!!!!... Your time will soon be over” maria her step mother curse at her, she settled for awhile trying to catch her breathing before tossing That of Anya's body into a small dark room she indicated for her.

“You can't run from this.. you'll suffer and no one will save you!!..” she sallowed in every liquid that filled the bottle, her eyes roamed on Anya's body and all she wanted to do was kill her at that point in time but she couldn't.. why? Because she had much bigger plans for Anya.

Shutting the metallic door hard , Anya flinched hard as fresh tears fell untop her muddy face, she couldn't attend to the little angry cut that was found on her thighs due to how weak she had become from her struggles, she yelled in pain.. this wasn't the life she wanted or had ever wanted for herself 

A life of fake, betray, hurt and revenge.. maria wasn't like she was now, back then when Anya's dad married Maria off the family were still happy unbreakable and strong, filled love throughout and because of that there collect every little gift in the town 

Then strategy decided to show up out of no where, something deadly happened to Anya's father, he fell ill. After a month or so maria's care for Anya faded slowly, at age 15 every love maria offered to little and innocent Anya became a full waste of time soon she drown herself to a life of drunk, she hated Anya for everything that kept happening to her.

**Present day**

"Make sure you do all I asked you to do before I get back,if you don't, Then get ready to sleep in the darkroom tonight,"maria said as she was about to leave the house.

"yes mother,"Anya replied shakingly.

"I am not your f**king mother," maria said angrily and landed a hot slap on anya's face making fall flat on the floor. Anya stood up immediately even if she still feels pain all over her body.

"Yes ma'am," she replied with tears streaming heavily from her eyes.

"Don't ever think of leaving the house," maria said then she left the house. 

     Anya started her chores immediately she make sure everywhere in the house was sparkling clean when she was done she head straight to the kitchen to find something to eat but there was none,she feels sharp pain in her stomach making her kneel down on the floor. Anya have not eaten for days now because maria refuse to prepare anything in the house,maria only allowed her to eat when there is leftover food in the house.

"Please, please stomach you need to stop," anya cried in pain from the continuous stomach ache. She stood up from the floor and went straight to the fridge to take some bread from it. Anya munch the bread hungrily without worrying about the punishment which awaits her when maria comes back.

***THE BLOOD CLAN***

   

 *TRAINING GROUND**

      A gunshot was heard making everyone stop what they are doing,it happens to be Cardo the second in command of the clan.

"You dare betray the boss," Cardo said angrily still pointing the gun at the man.

"I swear it wasn't me boss," the man pleaded.

"You still have the guts to lie to my face,"Cardo replied and shot him angrily. 

"this is just a warning to those who is a betrayer and also a liar,"Cardo said. One of the rules of the blood clans is that they hate lies and betrayers and anyone who does will be killed with cruelty.

"The boss requires for your presences immediately," one of the guards interupt Cardo's speech.

" Get back to work,"Cardo shouted and left the training ground heading straight to the torturing room.

**AT THE TORTURING ROOM**

"Were is my money?" Grayson shouted angrily.

"I swear boss,she escape the moment I found her," the man replied shakingly.

"A fucking woman was able to escape under your watch," Grayson said then he shot the man without giving him a chance to explain himself.

"You should have allowed him to explain himself," Cardo said immediately he step into the room.

"He's a weakingly who allowed a woman to escape under his watch," grayson replied.

"You called for me gray," Cardo said.

"We are leaving in five minutes," gray replied.

"Okay," Cardo said. Grayson left the torturing room while Cardo asked one of the guards to prepare the car.

    Some minutes later they left the clan.

"Where are we going to?"Cardo asked.

 "It's time to hunt down my debtors," gray replied.

**AT MARIA'S APARTMENT**

      Maria just came back and asked anya to pack all her belongings.

"we need to leave,go and pack your clothes,"maria said and left for her room to pack her bags hurriedly because she needs to escape before they find out about her location.

      Anya packed the little clothes she has,she was curious to know why her stepmother want to them to leave the house again. Few minutes later,maria was done packing her clothes and they were about to leave when a voice stop them.

"Why do we always have to leave..

Anya's voice trailed off as a cute manly voice interpolated.

"Going somewhere," the voice said with a smirk on his face making maria gaphs in shock...
