“Julian, what the fuck is happening?” Moretti whispered, tired and angry.

“The guy I called,” Julian paused, sniffing silently, “he said Sean’s system was hacked.”

Moretti threw me a sharp gaze, “your husband wants you back, right?”

“I’m not married to the bitch.” I hissed, bitter in my spirit.

“You fucking moll!” Julian slammed the car seat. “Either you lam or you go back to kissing their ass because nothing and dare I repeat, nothing!” His eyes widened, looking like a horror movie, “must happen to my daughter.”

“How is this my fault?” I shivered, confused at to why Ricci wants me back.

“Mamaluke… mamaluke…” Moretti heaved, disappointed.

“So you’re just going to throw me out. Really?” Squinting, I tried to sound confident.

“Ricci is fucking Teflon Don, ain’t no police alive can get to him so if something goes wrong with my daughter, the whole fucking country will feel it. I swear.” Julian’s sniffs became louder and louder.

“I thought you were going to come out

“You got it.” Jonathan sighed, almost regretting his decision. One tap on his screen and the call ended, leaving the car silent once again. “So, what next?” Matteo chewed his words quickly. Moretti took him time to stare intently at Matteo and I before proceeding to say anything. “We’ll be dropping you both here and now. You will find your way to the manor and you must use your head. Those people already know you both will be on to something so you must keep your head down and make calculated moves only.” With that, the car stopped. Matteo and I got down and waved. Julian simply kept his hand suspended in the air and Moretti couldn’t care less… having a time of his life with his cigar. The car zoomed off, throwing stones and dust at Matteo and I. The silence stretched minute into minute into minute. Damn. Like a Hollywood movie where you get dropped off on a long one lane road surrounded by forest and a tacky gas station in the far end. “Star,” Matteo began. “What are we

“You know what, Chelsea,” Moretti chuckled silently, staring deeply into the depths of my being. “I like you. I love how audacious you think you are. You’ll be useful to me but, of all the things I tolerate, as little as that list is, the one line no living thing should cross is my daughter. Except you are tired of your freedom and life in general, do not ever speak on my daughter in that manner. Olivia Moretti is a name you do not speak on. Am I understood, Miss Chelsea?” His voice had darkened, angry and venomous. His eyes fixed intently on me. A shrill shiver ran down my spine; goosebumps covered me whole. “I’m sorry,” I sighed with my gaze buried deep in the ground. He is the male version of Nathara. “Now, I want us to map out something, a plan that we must know by heart and must always work with because if anyone goes against the rule books must eat from the devil’s plate.” Moretti announced, so casually. His stare never left me, deep into my soul, I was being wat

  • STUCK WITH THE MAFIA TWINS   THERE WE GO

“Oh it’s so nice to-“ Julian’s stern frown caught me off guard and I instantly remembered his words ‘shut the absolute fuck up’… well can’t I say ‘hi’ anymore? “Chelsea,” Moretti called, coldly after staring intensely at me for a good five minutes. “What are you here for?” Oh great! Just great! Am I keep repeating why I hate the Rutherfords to everyone? Couldn’t this jacked monster Julian have explained in my stead? I don’t even know if I’m supposed to reply or if this is one of Julian’s ‘shut the absolute fuck up’ moments. “Can you hear me?” Moretti asked, his voice as subtle yet maniacally. I gently glanced at Julian for approval and he nodded subtly; so subtly I couldn’t tell if he nodded or if I imagined him do it. Either ways, here goes another narration. “Mr Salvatore, Ricci and I got married after I had sex with him. He was this mysterious masked man; him and his entire family were mysterious masked people. I decided to sleep with him because the mask and his

“Oh thank goodness,” I sighed in relief, thankful for how the wind moved me here. “Ohhh, you’re the one with the crazy ambition.” Sean laughed like he has known me since I was born. “What do you mean?” I hissed, folding my arms under my breasts. “I’ve dropped my ambitions on the Rutherfords. Those people are crazy; but my cousin on the other hand, he smokes too damn much, he hates the Rutherfords as much as he loves his cigarettes. He could be of help to you. I’ll give you his card so you can find your way to the house because I won’t be leaving this place for a while.” Julian explained, searching his pockets for a card. “I don’t think she can leave either.” Sean breathed, holding his phone so close to his face. “Why?” I asked, hiccuping my way into further anxiety. “You’re wanted in Chicago, Chelsea.” Sean explained, causing my feet to go cold. “I didn’t even shoot her chest, I shot her wrist. How is she dead?” Panic set in, real time. “Chelsea, you left a gun a

  • STUCK WITH THE MAFIA TWINS   ON THE RUN AGAIN

Taking sharp breaths, I continued to my new apartment. As expected, my pulse picked up so damn fast; my heart thudding heavily against my chest. My goodness. What did I just do? Does she deserve it? Yes. Do I feel bad? No. Am I scared? Yes. Do I give a fuck? No. You know what? That stranger was right. Maybe I do need a gun. Maybe I do need more guns; one for every member of Ricci’s family. I stood up to grab an apple and realized; the cops might come here, hell the cops will come here. Screw that; I’ll figure it out. I took a huge bite off the apple and flopped down on the couch, heavy sleep swelling in my eyes. *FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER* “Chelsea Star Ambers! Come out with your hands up!” A loud voice barked from my door. I jumped to my feet, too scared to breathe loud or stagger too much. What the fuck is going on? “Chelsea! Come out with your hands up!!” Another voice sounded, thicker with more firmness. I tiptoed to the door and peeked through the hole, catching wind o
