****LOUISANA'S POV***

The flight home felt endless.

None of us spoke. The silence inside Christian’s private jet had settled like a third passenger heavy, unspoken, stretching with every hour that passed. Whatever had cracked open between us the night before still hung in the air, too sharp to touch and too raw to ignore. So we sat in our seats, eyes closed or turned toward the dark windows, pretending the distance was only physical.

It was a little after five when I drifted awake.

LOUISIANA'S POV The entire floor was alive with chaos. Phones rang incessantly, the sharp clicking of heels echoed against the polished floors, and employees hurried between offices with armfuls of documents. Somewhere nearby, two people were engaged in a heated debate over the final product designs, their voices rising above the surrounding commotion. It was the kind of corporate madness I was slowly getting used to, but today, I needed a moment away from it all. I pushed back my chair, grabbed my phone, and headed for the third floor. My destination was the cafeteria, where I intended to grab a cold drink before retreating to the break room for a few minutes of peace. Tomorrow's event occupied most of my thoughts. Everything had to be perfect, from my appearance to the way I carried myself in front of the guests. As Christian's brand ambassador, I couldn't afford to show up looking anything less than exceptional. I wanted to make an impression, and preferably one that would

**LOUISANA'S POV** I woke before the light had fully decided what kind of morning it wanted to be. The guest room was still half in shadow, the sheets cool against my skin. I lay still for a moment, listening the way I always did in this house habit, caution, something sharper than either. Then I heard them. The soft, wet rhythm started first. Steady. Unmistakable. A low, broken sound from mom followed it, half-swallowed, the kind of noise a woman makes when she is being filled and cannot quite keep quiet about it. I sat up. My bare feet found the floorboards. I told myself I was only going to make sure nothing was wrong. The lie tasted thin even as I thought it. I moved down the short stretch of corridor without turning on any lights, heart already climbing into my throat. Their door was closed. A narrow bar of warmer light leaked from underneath. I knelt carefully, one hand braced against the wall, and brought my eye to the old keyhole. The lock gave me almost everything. Chr

LOUISIANA’S POV The jet touched down just after nine. Christian didn’t speak as we drove back home. He didn’t speak when the cabin door opened and the cool night air rushed in. He simply stood, collected his jacket, and waited for me to go first down the stairs like the gentleman he still pretended to be when other people were watching. The drive home was quieter than the flight. City lights slid across his face in short, sharp flashes. I kept my eyes on the road and tried not to notice the way his hand rested on the gearshift, close enough that if I shifted even slightly our fingers would touch. Mom’s car was already in the driveway. Of course it was. Christian killed the engine and sat there for a second longer than necessary, staring at the front door like it might open on its own and save us both the trouble. Then he exhaled, low and controlled, and got out. I followed. The house smelled like her perfume the second we stepped inside, something expensive and clean that neve

The unmistakable press of him against my ass was firm, almost aching morning desire, quiet and insistent. His cock rested heavily along the cleft of me, hard enough that every small shift I made, had me feeling it more. His breath brushed the side of my neck, no longer the even rhythm of sleep. Heavier. Closer.I shifted the smallest amount, only enough to ease the pressure, telling myself it was nothing more than an adjustment. He felt it.A

CHRISTIAN'S POV "What the hell were you wearing tonight, Louisa?" She stopped near the bedroom door, one heel dangling from her fingers. Slowly, she turned to face me. "My dress. Why?" I shut the hotel suite door behind me. "Don't play games with me." "I'm not. You asked me what I was wearing, and I answered." She glanced down at herself. "Unless you've suddenly developed an interest in fashion, I suggest you get to the point." I loosened my tie, fighting the urge to say something I'd regret. The entire evening had been an exercise in self-control. I'd sat through conversations with investors while watching men find increasingly pathetic excuses to approach her. Every compliment, every lingering glance, every smile she'd returned had chipped away at my patience. I'd managed to keep my expression neutral throughout the seminar. I wasn't interested in maintaining that pretence anymore. "Did you see how those men were looking at you?" Louisa set her heels on the console table

  • SUCCUMBING TO MY LUSTFUL DESIRES    Chapter 29

CHRISTIAN'S POV By the time we arrived at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the afternoon was fading. The East River lay before us, mirroring the pale gold sky, with Manhattan’s skyline rising on the opposite shore. People filled the waterfront children played nearby while couples wandered hand in hand. Louisana leaned on the railing. “This is one of my favorite views.” I stood beside her and looked where she was looking. From there, the city seemed breathtaking. Its skyscrapers looked almost unreal against the sky, and the bridges stretched across the river like giant ribbons of steel. “I can understand why,” I said. She turned to me, surprised. “Really?” “Don’t look so shocked. I can appreciate beautiful things.” She gave me a playful, narrowed look. “Like what?” I faced her. She smiled, waiting for my answer. I could have mentioned the skyline, the river, or the architecture. Instead, I took her hand. “You.” For once, Louisana was speechless. Her cheeks flushed pin
