Chapter 90

The pack house was massive, but inside it felt suffocatingly tense. Warriors moved through the hallways in pairs, locking down windows and securing every entry point. The air smelled of burnt sage, ozone, and old leather.

Zephyr led me up the grand staircase to the Alpha suite. The room was huge, with a king-sized bed, a stone fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the pine valley. A wooden crib had already been set up near the bed, crafted from dark walnut wood.

  • SURROGATE MOTHER TO THE ALPHA PUP   Crowned in Silver

Two weeks passed in a peaceful, quiet routine that felt almost unreal after everything we had survived. The physical damages from the heavy battle were steadily being repaired by the pack members. Broken fences were fixed, stone walls were rebuilt, and the life in the Silver Moon territory finally returned to normal. On a bright, crisp Tuesday morning, the warm sunlight washed over the estate grounds. I sat quietly on the sunny garden terrace, watching the pine trees sway gently in the breeze. Baby Zephyr was resting peacefully in a soft stroller beside my chair, his tiny chest rising and falling in a deep sleep. Mrs. Lloyd stood near the glass table, carefully pouring hot tea from a silver pot into delicate porcelain cups, her hands steady and her face calm. A few feet away, Callum was leaning against the stone pillar, reviewing routine guard reports and border schedules from his thick folder.Zephyr walked out onto the terrace, looking rested and regal despite wearing just a casual

  • SURROGATE MOTHER TO THE ALPHA PUP   Dawn of a New Era

The grand hall of the pack house was decorated magnificently for the coronation evening. Crystal chandeliers hung from the high ceilings, casting warm light over hundreds of pack members dressed in their finest attire.Flowers lined the center aisle leading up to the dual thrones made of carved oak and silver.I stood behind the heavy wooden doors, wearing a floor-length dark red velvet gown that covered the bandages on my shoulder. My hair was styled in soft waves around my shoulders."You look breathtaking," Mrs. Lloyd said, teary-eyed as she adjusted the back of my dress. She was holding baby Zephyr, who was wearing a tiny black velvet outfit."I'm nervous," I admitted, taking a deep breath."You have nothing to fear, my dear," Mrs. Lloyd said warmly. "You've proven yourself a true Luna ten times over."The heavy doors creaked open. The trumpets echoed through the hall, signaling my entrance.Every eye turned toward me as I began walking down the long carpeted aisle. I kept

  • SURROGATE MOTHER TO THE ALPHA PUP   Blood on the snow

Chapter 96I launched myself into the air, shifting back into my black wolf mid-flight. I hit Rowan hard in his side just as he brought the silver blade down. The blade sliced harmlessly through the air, missing Zephyr's neck by inches. Rowan crashed hard against a boulder, dropping the weapon into the snow.He roared in fury, grabbing me by the nape of my neck and throwing me against the frozen ground. Pain shot through my spine, but I scrambled back up to my feet immediately.Zephyr surged up from the ground, his eyes glowing blindingly gold with pure Alpha rage. "LEAVE HER ALONE!"Zephyr slammed into Rowan with terrifying power. The shockwave of their collision seemed to shake the very trees. Zephyr drove his claws deep into Rowan's shoulder, pinning him against the rock face.Rowan thrashed violently, clawing at Zephyr's face, but Zephyr didn't back down. The bond between us flooded my mind with his strength and determination. We were fighting for our child, for our pack, fo

  • SURROGATE MOTHER TO THE ALPHA PUP   Clash at the Nothern gate

The forest was dark and choked with heavy fog as we reached the northern perimeter fence. Snow was falling in thick white flakes, dusting the ground and obscuring vision.Suddenly, the silence was shattered by bloodcurdling screams and howls. Out of the shadows of the pine trees, dozens of massive rogue wolves burst forward, their eyes glowing red and gold in the dark."HOLD THE LINE!" Zephyr shouted. The two forces slammed into each other with terrifying violence. Snarling, snapping teeth, and crashing bodies echoed through the trees.I shifted instantly, my sleek black wolf bursting through my skin. The familiar rush of heat and wild energy filled my veins. A large brown rogue lunged at my throat, but I ducked beneath his jaws, coming up fast to bite hard into his front leg. He yelped and crashed into the snow.Beside me, Zephyr was a terrifying force of nature. His massive gray wolf form towered over the rogues. With swift, deadly strikes, he threw two attackers aside, his powerful

  • SURROGATE MOTHER TO THE ALPHA PUP   Gathering of the pack

That evening, night fell heavily over the valley, bringing a thick fog that rolled off the mountains. I couldn't sleep. Every creak of the old pack house made my pulse race.I walked down the quiet hallway toward the security control room on the second floor. Callum had been working continuously, monitoring camera feeds. As I approached the door, I noticed it was slightly ajar. A low whispering voice came from inside."He's planning a sweep of the eastern ridge tomorrow morning," a voice whispered. "Send the rogues to the western border instead. Zephyr won't be expecting it."My blood ran cold.I pushed the door open slightly and looked through the crack. Standing by the central communications console was Marcus, one of Zephyr's most trusted guard captains. He was holding a small silver satellite burner phone."I'll have the rear entrance unlocked at midnight," Marcus continued into the phone. "Make sure Rowan brings enough men to finish this."I didn't wait. I snapped.I kicked the d

The baby stirred, opening his tiny gray eyes for a moment before closing them again with a small sigh."He's safe here for now," Mrs. Lloyd whispered. "I'll be in the adjoining room if you need me, child. Rest your body.""Thank you, Mrs. Lloyd," I said.Once she stepped out, Zephyr sat down heavily on the edge of the bed. The effort of putting on a strong face for the pack had drained him completely. Sweat stood on his forehead, and his breathing w
