¶Year 2000¶

Been 2 years since I lost my grand father and Ronin....

¶ New man enters: Intro.. ¶

People say change is inevitable....the fraction of air was also changing in my life into some unknown direction...which was inevitable.

Today after a year I was meeting my friend Pawana... met her while we both were giving our 10th grade exam. We instantly clicked and became a very good friends after that we have been staying in touch through messages cause she lives and studies in the other part of the city.

Cafe de-mandu hmmm.. interesting name...so here I'm waiting for her... It's a hot summer day...wearing shorts and t-shirt so it is keeping me cool.

The ambience of the cafe is quiet cozy and warm with Bob Marley rasta music playing on the background...it's giving the cafe a hippy vibe of late 70's or 80's.

With  few tourist having their lunch and asking about the city to the owner of the cafe... and some sitting in the bar drinking... I started wondering how did she come to find out about this place cause even though I have been born and bought up here I never knew this sort of place existed.

Wondering my eyes around I noticed the owner has a dirty long black hair...he looks like a hippy himself...the way he is dressed so grubby and bogging like he has not showered for years...gosh yuck! Even thinking it's making me sick.

Suddenly, a tall slender guy wearing dress and trouser approaches me and I'm like what the fuck does this guy wants from me...he asks me what I wanted to have or drink...mind slapping myself I realise he is here asking for my order....

Hi! Welcome to the cafe de-mandu what can I get you...the guy asks me!

Oh hi! Thank you, I'm waiting for someone so will order foods after she arrives....for now can I have some coke...

Ya sure! Will be right with you...guy said and left to get my drink...

Been 15 mins since I arrived here and still no sign of Pawana...the hell she is making me wait!

While I'm drinking my coke...the tall guy kept looking at me...it's giving me a creepy vibe...god where is that girl...I'm gonna kill her...

Here she comes ..

with all her glory....bitch you are 15 minutes late... She gives me a guilty smile and says sorry Ila, I was stuck in a traffic... Ya! Ila is the name she has given me for short.

With her is a guy...he had a heavily built body...dark in skin colour with round face and short black hair...he looks like some Indian guy, he is handsome though...I will tell you that.

The guy introduces himself...hi I'm Rishi! have heard so much about you from Ana...what the hell Ana! till now I have not heard anyone calling her with that name and I'm shocked....lost in my thoughts...I forgot to say hi! So stupid.

Pawana pinched me and said...where were you lost girl.... Rishi is saying hi to you! Mentally eye rolling myself I came out of my trance and introduced myself as well.

Ila Rishi is my boyfriend...we have been dating for a year....what the fuck! I was surprised hearing this new information from Ana! As called by Rishi...

And why am I hearing this now from you...aren't we close friends...how could you hide this big news from me till now! You know I'm really upset with you...Pawana I did not expect this from you. We were supposed to share everything with eachother...hello! if you don't remember....

Oh my baby! I'm so so sorry for not telling you about Rishi before....I wanted to be sure about this relationship myself...wanted to know if it will last long or not and if it's serious from Rishi's side as well...

So I did not opened our relationship to you or my parents either....but you are the first person to meet him babe...please can you forgive me!

Though I was hurt....I cannot stay angry from my girl so I said I forgive you...

Meanwhile Rishi comes with the same tall guy...doing a bro hug...and tells us that they are best friends...shocked!

No...no this can't be happening to me! the same guy who was giving me a creepy vibe...he can't be Rishi's friend and that too bestie...oh gosh! why this keeps happening to me....I was having a inner battle while the guy tries to introduce himself to me...

Blinking my eyes...I look at his hand and shake it...hi! again I'm Aiyla!

Hi! Again...he laughs and says I'm Neil. Why the hell did laughed! I was again talking in my mind... Was I going crazy!

I was feeling so awkward...I'm usually really very shy around new people...and I was glad no one was talking....it gave me some time to recover and pull myself through.

All the while I noticed Neil giving me a look that even I could not decipher. It was Pawana who broke the silence between us.

Saying Ila babe.... I have got some good news for you....guess what! What! I said, I'm going to shift here with my family and my sister Ina is very excited to meet you.

Yes! she had a sweet sister who was studying in school and she loved me alot. I was her favourite sister... she loved me more than her own sister.

Haha! And I loved how jealous Pawana is!

While talking I found out Rishi's family is from India but settled abroad due to his father's work and they are Non reliable Indian (NRI).

Rishi was fun to talk...he had a good sense of humour and very charming. He told me he was doing MBA in K.K university and had plans to join his father's business.

As for Pawana she is the daughter of Non Reliable Nepali (NRN) doctor. She is actually Nepali...her family came from Nepal and settled here in Santa Blanc's but moved to Seattle cause of her father's work.

Her father is the famous heart surgeon and her mother is a interior designer.

Pawana being from the rich family like me...she is very humble, kind-hearted and sweet girl. Even her parents and sister are sweet and kind-hearted.... they love me like their own...

I'm glad to have them in my life.

And I'm happy that they are moving back to Santa Blanc's now!

Oh! did I tell u guys...Santa blanc's is where I live...it's a beautiful country surrounded by green mountains..lakes, river. It's really a nice place to live in.

People are friendly....good restaurants with good foods....hottest clubs around Santa Blanc's is famous among the tourist....this is where home is.

It's also very good place to spend your holidays with your families and friends.

Neil was trying to talk with me but all the while I was ignoring him or giving him short answers...I was not feeling comfortable at all him being so near to me. He was giving me a negative vibe...plus there was something the way he was looking at me..

I didn't know what to think of it... I tried to ignore it but his continuous look was sending chills to my body...and I was having a goosebumps....I don't know whether it was just my imagination or I was thinking too much but what I know is that I have never felt anything like this before in my life.

Since he was already here talking with us...I just cannot shut one's eye to...it would be fucking rude so I disregarded everything and started chit chatting with him as well. I won't say it was fun chatting with him...he was kind of okay guy!

But..but who knew... he was the change that was inevitable...who knew that he would barge into my life like a storm and whisk me away with it...who knew that he was the bad omen for me!
