SCARE AT THE PARK

The fashion show was very successful and the orders received became overwhelming. Tina and Lily were sometimes forced to sleep for long hours because they were required to deliver the many orders that they received. Tina started complaining of backache and exhaustion and sometimes felt dizzy. Lily noticed and one day advised Tina to take a break, Ken also noticed that Tina was getting exhausted and commented that she needed to hire extra staff so that the workload can reduce. They recommended staff recruitment and some of them were interviewed for the job. They were trained and few turned out to be very productive and gave Tina and Lily plus other designers and production staff a breather and the helping hand was very much welcome.  When the work reduced a bit she took some days off to relax at home with her kids since they were on holiday but most of the time she sleep on her bed until Ken became concerned and advised her to go visit a doctor but she insisted she was exhausted and needed a break.

One morning after taking breakfast she decided to take the boys for a walk in the park. The boys went ahead to play football and in the swing and bouncing castles and had fun playing with other kids. Tina watched them while relaxing on the bench at the pack.  She was joined by the boy's teacher Miss Jane from the twin's school who had come to visit the park with her son who was the twin's classmate and friend. The three boys were happy to play football in the park together and have fun in the swing.  Tina sat with Miss Jane while the boys were playing together.  While they were seated Tina started to sweat and feel drowsy she asked Miss Jane to help her with her bottle of water. Jane noticed she was not well and asked her what could be the matter she said that she was feeling hot and gave Miss Jane her phone after calling her husband Ken and by the time he was answering on the third ring Tina had fainted. Miss Jane took the phone and explained to Ken what was happening who sent an ambulance right away and instructed the teacher to take care of the boys and Tina since the ambulance was on the way and he was coming to take the boys. He called Lily and told her what was happening he needed her to take care of the office and called Jimmy who luckily enough happened to be driving near the park to go and see what could be the matter with his wife. Jimmy rushed and in a matter of minutes he arrived at the pack he found Miss Jane giving Tina first aid and used a piece of the book that she had carried to read to blow some air on her to ease her breathing hard since she had passed out. A gentleman noted the commotion and since he was a medic assisted in giving her first aid. A crowd had started surrounding the bench curious of what could be the matter but fortunately, a police car was passing by and noticed the crowd and came and dispersed the crowd leaving alone the medical personnel and Miss Jane when the boys saw their mum was not talking they started crying and Miss Jane gave them the phone to talk to their daddy. One boy Eric panicked and when he was talking to his daddy Ken wondered if her mum was dead. That made Ken even more scared but he had to be strong for the kids. He assured them she was sick and they are taking her to see a doctor and she’ll be well soon even though he was also shedding tears. Ken told the boy’s uncle Jimmy was on the way to please get to his car he will take them to the hospital where daddy was waiting for them and mummy. The ambulance arrived on time and she was taken to the hospital where Ken was waiting with the ER doctor. 

Miss Jane also boarded Jimmy’s car with the boys and they accompanied him to the hospital. She was required to explain what happened. They arrived at the hospital on time and the ER medical personnel were waiting for her and she was whisked to the emergency room where she was put on oxygen since she had breathing problems, and other laboratory tests were done on Tina for the Doctors to determine what could be the course of her sudden attack. The doctor noted her blood pressure was high but there was something she was suspecting but could only give a conclusive report after taking the medical tests. They later confirmed she was anemic and pregnant also.

The doctor suspected her to be about two months pregnant but the exact time would be determined after some tests and the ultrasound was done. They confirmed she was about two months pregnant and due to stress and pressure she had developed high blood pressure and lacked enough blood to supply oxygen to the body making her faint. The doctors noted she looked exhausted and was overworking herself which was dangerous in her delicate condition. He recommended that Tina needed total rest and was given medication to help her heal. The doctor came out and requested to speak to her immediate family which Ken answered immediately. He was informed she would be hospitalized for a few days to observe her blood pressure. After she is discharged she required total bed rest otherwise her life and that of her baby would be in danger.

 The boys looked sleepy and Jimmy offered to take them home but they insisted to see their mummy while crying. The doctor told Ken that Tina needs rest and since she was on sleeping they were advised to come the following day after she has relaxed and woken up. Then Ken inquired what could be the matter and the doctor assured him she was fine but her blood pressure is high but that normally happens in her condition. Ken was shocked and asked which condition are you talking about? The doctor explained it normally happens since she is pregnant and should go slow on any strenuous job. The doctor went ahead and said she needed bed rest so she will be staying three days in the hospital under his observation and then proceed to bedrest at home. Ken knew how stubborn his wife was so he asked the doctors to tell her directly she needed to rest.

Ken went home to a confused man one happy the wife was pregnant and second the birth could be a risk to her life. He never wanted to lose her or think of a life without her and if he was to choose between the mother and the baby he would choose the wife at least they had the twins who were adorable which was in his thoughts but prayed that both of them will be saved.

When they arrived home the boys were already asleep and the family was waiting for him in the house so he took one of the twins to bed and Jimmy helped to carry the other boy. They had hot chocolate and discussed Tina’s illness and it was decided she was to stay at home from now on. The brand she had designed during the fashion show was enough for the year and if need be the other designers would step in. Lily would manage the business with the help of other management workers. They all went home sad but also happy about the soon addition that would come to the family. They prayed for her quick recovery and Ken went to sleep after everybody else had left.
