THE PARTY

Tina and her friend were dropped at the gate of the restaurant where the party was being held. Since they were new in the organization they did not mingle with the rest but stayed together observing events unfolding. There were speeches from the Chairman and senior management and the best performing staff were rewarded and then the Chairman opened the floor for people to dance and party. From Tina’s point of view, the Chairman looked like the older version of Ken but there was no way she could relate to him. Ken never revealed where he worked he just said he has businesses in this town but since he had traveled on the business matter there was no way Tina could get the facts next time they meet she’ll enquire from him but in the meantime although she missed her knight and charming armor she had to be patient for him to come back. 

Her flight was leaving in two days so she discussed with Tina that they will explore the town, especially the tourist sports. There was a famous historic site that they could explore and also the museum. Tina also had a love for art they could visit an art exhibition that he had seen being advertised. “This is for you ladies compliments from the gentlemen at the end”. What Kate exclaimed, “we have become celebrities” what’s the celebration she was inquiring”. I think you mistook us for other people, “ Tina said please return it. The waiter insisted I was directed to bring by the two gentlemen and since they call shots here I don’t want to lose my job please accept the drink. Kate said why not?

Tina did not want to argue so he instructed the waiter to go ahead and open the champagne sparkling bottle. The champagne sparkled with life when poured into the glass but the most beautiful part was the popup sound when the bottle was opened and no person could resist sipping the golden drink which tasted heavenly. The bottle was put in the bucket on the rocks and Tina and Kate could not help but enjoy the champagne.

They cheered to the drink, long life in the company and the alcohol made them more excited and social especially Tina who used to be reserved started talking and laughing with Kate. She even suggested she wanted to go and dance on the floor and Kate said she will watch over their drinks because she doesn’t like dancing. Tina went to the dancing floor she seemed to be enjoying herself. 

The alcohol was taking effect making Tina more daring than she could normally have been and went dancing in the hall alone although other people joined in. Some two guys noticed the way she was swaying her hips and joined her she did not want to get so close but they were insistent Tina at first was reluctant but they forced their way to her she tried to resist but they started becoming aggressive. Tina pulled herself away from them and the dance floor and went to join her friend Kate. One of the drunker guys said lady you have a beautiful body and I would like to know you.  Tina resisted and said she had a boyfriend but the guy said if he loved you why did he let you come alone, I am going to have you tonight. Tina tried to pull herself from his firm grip on the waist but he was too strong for him. Where do you think you are going sugar you are all mine do you hear? Kate saw what was happening and came to rescue her friend but the other guy pulled her away and told her not to interfere with his boss and what he wants he takes. Do you know how powerful he is Tina became very desperate and broke down into tears regretting why she came to the party in the first place unaccompanied and in a strange place? She has always had her friend take care of her and for once she missed her man Ken.
