THE WESTERN THEMED PARTY PLANNING

The King’s family had come to the western ranch to relax and create memories for the family. The men woke up early and joined other cowboys in a guided ride at the mountain areas to enjoy the open ride, learn about the cattle ranches, enjoyed the view of the landscapes, and follow the trails. The guys especially Lewis enjoyed the horse ride the peace and the serene environment. The men were going for a saddle ride most of the day and this had prompted the ranch manager Ricky to organize a packed lunch.

Ricky was very informed and possessed a true passion as a cowboy and fitted in the lifestyle of saddling and ranching. When he took them on a tour around the ranch he explained in detail about farming, the vegetation in the ranches, the wildlife like the deer they met with when saddling and he explained the history of the farms the geology, and the archeology. He and one of his supervisors taught the guys about horsemanship to use either in the arena or out the trail on how to improve their riding skills.

The ride was involved since they had to control the herd of cattle and horses that were in the field plus the sheep that were grazing. The most amazing thing that happened is witnessing a sheep give birth in the field and had to assist and help it by carrying the sheep and the young kid back to the shed to be taken care of until it was strong enough to join the other herds. The work in the ranches was demanding and involving but it was a good way of unwinding and refreshing from their normal lives.

When they were returning home Lewis with his horse wandered off to a neighboring ranch without his knowledge. The weather was hot and when he saw a dam with clean water he thought it was a wonderful idea to remove his wet clothes with sweat and pour water on his body to cool off. He did not seem to mind because the land was vast he didn’t expect to see anyone also the sun was hot enough to dry him off so he didn’t need a towel. He even cleaned his wet towel and dried it on a tree branch to clean it off the sweat. He showered then put on his boxers and relaxed under the tree waiting for the sun to go down a bit before he is continuous with his journey back. He used his jeans trousers as his pillow after folding them and covered his face with his cow boy hat. Before long he had one of the sweetest female voices he had ever heard saying who is this trespassing in my land I can show you right here. Lewis felt the voice like he was in dreamland and he removed the hat from his face only to find one of the most beautiful cowgirls standing with hands akimbo in front of him. Lewis apologized and dressed in his jeans very fast and said the sorry lady I was just taking a rest. Then she challenged him how do I know you are not an intruder spying on our ranch? That’s when Lewis focused and replied no I am just a guest at Parker's ranch I think I lost my way. I thought so because your soft skin and hands aren’t for cowboys. Wake up lazy man I will escort you to the ranch but next time don’t go wondering off on your own not everyone is kind to strangers in this wild west. Okay, lady and thank you Lewis bowed the cowboy way and saddled his horse and the lady also saddled hers and led the way. She also said Mrs. Parker had mentioned she has guests so you are lucky today. She directed him on the path to take as the sunset was approaching and told him to have a nice evening city boy. Lewis said thank you my lady and saddled towards the ranch he could see Parker's ranch nearby. He found other guys concerned about him since his phone was switched and apologized and when Ricky asked him how he found his trail back he said he was rescued by a certain cowgirl who directed him to Parker's ranch. Ricky asked lady Siddy talked you must be lucky sir because she is a tough Knut to crack. Then Lewis said she is called Siddy yah they own the vineyard and the winery and she manages both and she does a good job at that but sir many cowboys want to marry her but she is the tough man you’re lucky she even escorted yah, but Lewis brushed off she was told by Mrs. Parker he has guests that’s why. Let me go and freshen up and I will join the rest. Ricky said okay master see you later. He took the horse to the saddle and Lewis went on his way to the house.

Meanwhile, while the ladies were left in the house at Parker's ranch they started organizing for the surprise birthday for Ken. The Parkers ranch didn’t have ample space in the backyard so they consulted with an event planner Dan and his wife Lesley who they had been referred to by Ricky they suggested since its a surprise party and they were to invite more friends and they needed a spacious backyard and they referred them to go to the neighboring ranch since they had a winery and a garden that was very ideal for a party especially this particular party was dinner, wine, and dancing. Dan drove the ladies Tina and Lily to the winery and they met Siddy the winery manager and also the daughter of the owner of the vineyard.  She was easy going and Dan and Lesley had talked to her if she could host the party at her vineyard near the winery since she had a big guesthouse that was not being used it was also an ideal marketing strategy for the venue so that the neighboring ranchers can also be coming to use them for special occasions and she could also host guests who wanted to learn more about the vineyard and the winery. Siddy was a pleasant lady easy to get along with and was willing to work along with the King’s family because she knew they could also market her vineyard and maybe promote vineyard. He had learned about their hotels and she knew if she knew them they could also work together to promote her winery. She welcomed the ladies and gave them a tour of the winery and the cellar and later they sat and started discussing the party. Tina said I am organizing a surprise 40th birthday party for my husband Ken who is dear to my heart and I want to do something for him. We are planning a surprise party for him but we have the assistance of his two brothers and our parents. It's normally our tradition to host a party for the family and you know our parents the Parkers are now old can be able to hold a party so we also would love to invite the neighbors if they can join us at the party and we wine and dine and get to know one another. When Ricky introduced me to Dan & Lesley and they mentioned your vineyard I was pleased to know that I will not have to go looking for drinks because we want to buy from here and promote the local products. Your vineyard is surrounded by woods, and vineyards and the farm have routes for walking, cycling, and riding. The ranch was overlooking the beautiful mountains and had a gazebo for the grill and a chimney where you can light a bonfire and wash the sunset and the moon and the star in the sky while warming yourself in the bonfire. The ladies were treated to a session of wine tasting and fed with delicious roasted pork ribs and were taken to wine and food tasting session making them leave the premises feeling happy and excited at the view they got in the vineyard house. They experienced a lot of peace and tranquility and they started planning the party but the trio Siddy, Dan, and Lesley were full of ideas that Tina trusted them to be a better host. All she asked they include a local band or DJ if they have one, they include games and sports for both adults and kids. Tina asked if they invited the neighbors how many people would attend and they estimated one hundred persons including the farmhands who were also part of the family. The party theme was “Flavor of the old west” and then they would hold the birthday party in a special lounge which would only be revealed after people had eaten and drank and were also enjoying the dance.

It was near autumn and the trees were turning warm colors, the chestnut was ripening and the days were getting shorter the harvest time for all wine lovers was the right reason to indulge in a moment of relaxation and enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by the vineyard and the beautiful environment and beautiful landscape ideal for adventure or enjoy the scenery, the woodlands, and vegetation that make the farmhouse exotic and unique.

The ladies when they left were happy because they knew not only would they make their parents happy by hosting the party, but also the neighboring ranchers plus also bring together people from the neighborhood and this was a tradition they intended to carry on in the future.
