LOGINLaura's POV
My fingers were dripping with my juices, and my heart was beating fast. She caught me. She heard everything. She heard me moaning her father’s name. “Laura?” She called. “What's with the noise?” Noise? Ohh… The lights were off, she didn't see anything. “I… I…” She moved closer to me. She sat on my bed, and she turned on the bedside lamp. Thank goodness I didn't take the duvet off my body. “Are you okay?” She asked. The sincerity in her eyes made me feel bad for what I just did. “I am fine.” “Ohh… I went to the kitchen to get milk. But I was hearing noises from your room.” “Yeah… I was praying,” I lied. Praying. That was the only good lie I could find. It's normal to pray late at night. “Really?” She asked, raising her eyebrows. “Yes… Our exams are around the corner.” I faked a smile. “Cool.” She stood up, she smiled back at me. “I'd leave now,” she said. I rolled my eyes at her, but she didn't see me, she already turned to leave. What a way to ruin my fun. I can't have her father in real life, yet I can't have him in my fantasy too. She shut the door close. I hissed. I know she didn't believe me. I couldn't continue anymore, she already killed the mood. I sighed, and after countless minutes, sleep took over me. The next day, I was dragged over to the Steels mansion again. It was a weekend. Brenda said her father asked for a little family time. They had always considered me their family. Who wouldn't? It's been years, and I made sure to play my good girl card perfectly. We were in Brenda's room when she got a call from a guy. “Hi…” She said through the phone as she smiled sheepishly. “I am good, thanks.” She knows he can't see her, right? “Yeah… Sure, I'd be there. Just give me thirty minutes,” her smile grew wider. She hung up the call, and she jumped excitedly. “He asked me out on a date!” “It isn't your first date. Why are you so happy?” I asked, raising my brows in a teasing manner. Brenda rarely gets excited when she is being asked out. “It's the guy from yesterday’s party.” “Ohhh,” my mouth formed a circle. “I'd get going now… See ya later. And ohh, Daddy asked for lunch downstairs. I guess it would be only you two.” She grabbed her handbag, and she sped out the room. Only us two? Me and Damian? Alone? No. Why did Brenda have to leave? I can't bear being alone with him. I paced around the room, already dreading what was to come. Everything about Damian unsettles me. I checked my wrist. It was almost 3pm. Damian never liked lateness, and 3pm was the usual time for the family lunch, which only happens once in a while. But Brenda cherished it, so I had to pretend I liked it too. I walked out of the room, and I marched down the stairs. The lunch table was already set, but he wasn't there yet, I heaved a sigh out of relief. “Where is Brenda?” His deep voice came from behind me. I flinched. “Huh…” I cleared my throat. “She went out on a date. An impromptu date,” I clarified. He didn't say anything, he walked forward, and he settled into a chair. I took a good look at him, he was wearing black pants, and a white shirt, the first buttons of the shirt were undone, and his sleeves were rolled up. I gulped hard. “Sit, little princess,” he said. I nodded, and I pulled out a chair. I sluggishly sat. He placed food on a plate, and he tossed it over to me, before serving himself. Why was he serving me food? He doesn't do that when Brenda is around. “Eat,” he gestured with his hand. I took a spoon, and I dipped it in. He served pasta, my favorite meal. It looked tasty, but I found it hard to eat. I glanced at him. He was eating freely, not bothered about me. I was the only one overthinking here. I slowly started eating. The meal was as good as I predicted. The chef does her job accurately. “Do you have a boyfriend, Laura?” Damian suddenly asked. I coughed awkwardly, almost choking on my food. “Brenda has a boyfriend, thought you might have one too, since you girls are grown now.” Technically, Brenda doesn't have a boyfriend though. They aren't official yet. “I… I do not have a boyfriend… sir,” I stuttered. “Good,” he remarked. What was so good about me not having a boyfriend? “See me in my room after the meal,” he said, but it sounded more like an order. I didn't respond, I put my head down, and I forced the meal down my throat. He pushed out his chair abruptly, and he stood up. I looked up at him. He was done with the meal. He walked away. I released a breath I didn't know I was holding. Damn it! I was free now, but I still have to see him in his room. That would definitely be terrible. I finished my meal quickly, so he wouldn't think I was delaying him on purpose. I stood before the mahogany door of his room. Thinking through if I should knock or not. A simple decision became a hard task. I knocked. His voice came from within. “Come in.” I pushed open the door, and I walked in. He was standing by the window, backing me. He wasn't wearing a shirt, and his trousers hung low on his waist. I could see every muscle of his upper body, every carve that made him a sight to behold. My throat dried up, and I swallowed hard. “You called for me, daddy,” I muttered. My fingers were fiddling with one another. I was in a tough spot. He spun around. “Yes, honey,” he muttered. His voice sent a shiver through me. He moved closer to me, too close. I move backwards. “Si… Sir?” I said, but the words didn't come out right. My back hit the wall. There was nowhere to run to now. He placed his right hand by my side pinning me against the wall. His body was huge over mine. My breathing became shaky. “Are you afraid of me, little one?” He asked. I could feel his breath on my body. He used his hand to lift up my chin. My gaze pierced his. “Huh?”Brenda’s POV I glared at Laura. I was trying so hard to drag Laura out with me tonight. I practically begged her, but she gave me that tired smile that gets her out of things. “It wasn't planned, Brenda. I don't feel it.” She replied. “I will get you a new bag,” I wiggled my brows at her. “Nah. Don't bribe me,” She said playfully. I looked at her, trying to blink my eyes at her innocently. Laura just wasn't bulging. My other two friends hurried in and held me by the arm. “Come on, Brenda or we are going to be late,” they were pulling me to the door. I poured, begging Laura with my eyes, if she was going to change my mind and follow me to the club, but she just stared and waved as I was dragged out. Minutes later, we arrived at a newly launched club. It was the talk of the city, and people wanted to go there. The music in the club was way too loud. I was sitting, with a drink in my hand, watching people partying and doing all sorts of fun things. “Hmm,” I breathed in, a sub
Laura's POV.I wanted to be in charge, and I wanted to watch him moan and feel things he made me feel.I flipped him over once, his eyes widened in shock Ofcourse, he must be shocked, how did a girl half his weight flip him.Damian sprawled on the king-sized bed, trying to look like the ruthless billionaire who commanded respect, but I had the intention to silently command his moans. His head tilted to his side, watching me crawl up towards him. I didn't hesitate. Leaning down, I captured his mouth in a soft kiss, he tried to hasten the pace.I stopped him by pulling away.“Not so fast Daddy,” my soft words seemed to surprise him.Damian’s arched his well shaped eyebrow. “Is that it,” he asked, his chest heaved against mine. His broad hands immediately reached for my waist, his large fingers digging in to pull me down onto his lap and take over.I swung a leg over his lap and straddled his hips, pinning him beneath me. He made to touch me but I grabbed his wrists, guiding his hands
Laura’s POV.When I opened my eyes, followed by a yawn. The early morning brightness filled the room.It took more than a second before I was fully awake. I stared at the white ceiling before looking sideways in search of Damien. I remembered sleeping on his chest.Damian was sitting on the opposite end, his long legs stretched out, back resting against the headboard. He was shirtless, exposing the broadness of his chest, exposing tan, firm skin and the faint trace of dark hair. My eyes caught the tattoo on his arm.He cleared his throat to catch my attention. His dark eyes were heavy, hooded with sleep, but intense enough to send a sharp jolt straight down my spine."Good morning, Laura," he murmured, his voice a low, raspy rumble that sent my core aching and watering."Good morning," I whispered, my throat dry. I pulled the blanket up higher, suddenly aware of my bare legs and our close proximity. "Did you... did you sleep at all?""I don't need much sleep," he replied softly, his
Laura’s POV.I just walked into my cozy little apartment, tired and hungry. I was wondering what I could have for dinner when my phone flashed Damian Steels on the screen, my heart fluttered. His sharp voice sounded over the speaker, carrying a non-negotiable tone that made me weak in the knees.“Step outside. My driver is outside.”I didn't even have time to change my clothes. I just threw on an oversized sweater over my shirt, I grabbed my bag, and went down the stairs of my apartment building.Standing by the curb was a sleek, blacked-out Maybach. The driver opened the rear door silently nodding respectfully as I climbed into the back.I expected the car to head straight toward Steels Tower or his grand city mansion. But as the minutes ticked by, the city lights faded into the background. The concrete streets gave way to dark, tree-lined roads winding deep into the countryside.I wondered where he was taking me?“Where are we going?”Thirty minutes later, the car pulled through a m
Damian’s POV It was already eight pm, and the corporation was quiet. Down below, the city lights flickered like a grid of cold diamonds, but up here, in my corner office, there was only silence. I sat behind my massive mahogany desk, tapping a heavy silver pen against the dark wood. I couldn't focus on the financial reports sitting in front of me. Every time I tried to get busy, I didn't see numbers or corporate acquisitions. I saw her. Laura. Her face from the stadium box kept playing on a loop in my mind. The delicate curve of her neck. The way her breath hitched when I leaned in close. The fierce, desperate look in her brown eyes whenever she tried to fight the pull between us. It was getting out of hand. I was forty-eight years old, a man who built an empire on ruthless discipline and cold logic, yet it seemed like I was completely consumed by my daughter’s twenty-one-year-old best friend. A quiet buzz came from the intercom on my desk. "Mr. Steels," my secretary’s voice
Laura’s POV.The cold air in the VIP suite suddenly felt far too heavy to breathe.Damian’s presence hit the room like a physical blow. He was sitting right beside me, his tailored dark suit practically brushing my shoulders. His expensive cologne filled my nostrils.I sat still and stiffly to pretend to be alright. My hands shook so hard I had to press my palms flat against my knees just to hide the trembling. He leaned down further. His breath almost brushed the shell of my ear, hot and terrifyingly calm.“Are you okay?” His question sounded like a tease. His voice sends cool shivers between my core."You look tense, Laura," Damian whispered, his voice a low, gravelly purr that only I could hear. "Relax. You look far too pretty to be this terrified of me."A sudden feeling of anger flared in my chest, I turned and glared at him. I ignored my surroundings.Who is Terrified? He treated me like a pawn on a chessboard. He spoke to me like I was something he owned, I didn't like that.“I
