Chapter 56: Business of the day

"Urgh! And they call Jana spoilt" Trisha grumbled before going back to the living room. It was a nice house with a lot of antiques. The chandelier that graced the room was so exquisite. A very rare and expensive brand too. She could swear that the antiques were Mrs Marcus idea and that of using very rare furnitures and decorations in the house were definitely that of Alpha Marcus. Her parents were influencial too but the comfort and warmth of her of her friend's house made her feel envious. She did not mean bad for Jana but sometimes she wished they could trade lives. A happy home with parents that cared. A mother who spent most of her time tending to the affairs of her children and husband. It was beautiful. Unlike her hers who were always busy with work.
