Chapter 55: Expectations and Reality

Jewel opened her eyes. The house looked so familiar that it hit her at once. She was in her father's house. The sun ray s that hit her right from the windows were too bright for her. She struggled but successfully brought herself to full consciousness. She walked to the window to fall the curtains. It was a quiet mornin g. Calm and refreshening too. When she layed hands on the curtains,she had a second thought. She could just enjoy the morning as it came. She opened the windows amd then took in the fresh morning scent. It had rained the previous night and she was not willing to trade that fregrance for anything. She sighted a hummingbird bird perching on a tree. It was beautiful. She wished she could communicate with the bird and probably fly too. She loved the way it hummed and she hummed along not knowing what she was really humming to.  The atmosphere had made her lost in her own world.
