CHAPTER NINE The rest of the day went by in a stressful blur. I never made the mistake of cleaning the west wing again. I should have known. Fewer servants were moving there, just a measly handful. He paused abruptly. I could have sworn on the moon his eyes turned pitch black. In that moment, his scent changed; he wasn’t a wolf. So what was he??
