Chapter 13

"I don't think I want to go out with the wives today," I complained as I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I didn't have to use my crutches anymore, but my foot was in a massive cast that I had Elisabeth sign her tiny signature on. 

Elisabeth thought it would be a great idea for me to get to know the other wives better since I was soon going to be a part of the family. She didn't tell me this, instead she led me to believe that she and I just needed to wake up early and make ourselves look pretty. 

Only after I'd done my make up, and put on a pretty dress did she reveal to me the real reason I was getting ready. 

"They're wonderful people," Elisabeth tried to defend them as I rolled my eyes.
