The bedroom door banged open and my mother came charging in, "you know what, Sarafina, I can't do this!" my mother exclaimed as she ripped the sheets off my body and I just looked at her.

"Are you ready?" Elisabeth asked me as she magically appeared in front of me while I was observing myself in the mirror. Some other women would spend the 24 hours before their wedding by going out with friends, having a bachelorette party and reflecting back on their single days; but I am not like other women.
